This store always treats me like a thief. Negative stars for the security that stays following me, while the hundreds of folks straight up walk in and steal with no issues. But today I give 5 stars to Carol, for her patient customer service. I witnessed her being antagonized by a "Karen" handle a patronizing older gentleman buying just one thing and talking condescending to her as she made change from a large bill, and as she started to ring me up, she kept up the same friendliness you expect from a Trader Joe's cashier. When I asked her how she liked working here, she genuinely glowed. But I want to know, WHY do we live in a world that a woman Carol's age is unable to retire? Carol must be in her late 70's or early 80's. She definitely looks like my 87 year-old-coworker. But why is Carol working full time? Pharmacy department is unhelpful and unclear. I tried to get a prescription transferred here to save some time in the long run, but the pharmacist wasn't able to speak anything other than broken English and couldn't clearly state what information she needed to fulfill the transfer. Stick with CVS-- they're more patient, helpful and clear than this rude and unhelpful pharmacy location. read more

While the store has pretty much everything imaginable under the sun the prices are in line and some actually more than other retailers. I understand staff has to follow policy but Im still bummed by my experience last week. I saw that a movie was on sale and didn't wanting to order it since I was so close by. The staff could not price change it. So I had to order it for the next day. I came the next day around 10 am and there was no parking for pick up. After circling around I noticed that the cars were empty. I did see one woman get her order and leave her car to go inside. I know the signs say for orders pick up but maybe include a sign that says fo not leave car unattended. Thankfully someone got their order correct and left so I could my order. When Amazon fails, I guess there is Wal-Mart? Well, I guess so. I needed to get a Blu-ray, and since Target and Best Buy stopped carrying them, I had to come here to get Moana 2. It's a larger location, and a little messy, but overall, you really can't expect from Wal-Mart. If your expectations are aligned with reality it will be the exact experience you would expect. I give two stars for Walmart management and five stars to June for doing the best she could. I ran into Walmart to pick up photos. Kudos to June who was running the photo and electronics by herself . She needed more help. I had received an electronic message stating my order was ready for pick up. To me that ment all I needed was to give my name and I should be good to go. Nope, poor June was up to her elbows and photo orders, customers wanting service in the electronic areas, and someone waiting to be rung up. She quickly looked around for my order. It was in four parts and the photos weren't even cut to size yet. She said it would be a while until she could get to cutting my order because each photo had to be cut individually. I said I'll take them and cut them myself. It's a lease. I can do to help her out. The manager didn't seem to care and she felt bad that so many people had to wait. This is for Evan! Came in to make a pickup, online would have charged me a fee for not having a minimum order. The item was 16.49 online and 19.99 in store. I asked if they could price match, he said no. I tried to meet him half way but saying if I place the order in online can he expedite the pickup process, he said no. Had a 1:30pm appointment out here today and was ahead of schedule. So I rushed in to get some chores done, and therefore did not take a lot of pictures. Quality/Quantity - Consistent, actually very good. Not only was I able to get everything I needed, but it was amazingly easy to find. Did have to ask one person to check prices as sadly most/many of their merchandise are in the wrong slot. Atmosphere - Busy location. I wish there were more Walmarts closer to where I am staying. But glad I did not have to drive all the way to Milpitas or San Leandro. Service - Self service. Actually, the team members who helped me scan for prices were good. Thank you. Price - Didn't look, inexpensive. This is a very large Walmart in the area. There's a market area that has quite of bit of premade food, produce, fruit, and frozen food. The aisles are endless of items and you can definitely get lost in the store. It's a bit of a chaotic store though. The staff aren't as friendly so I've only been to the store once. read more

I had a disappointing experience at Walmart because of an employee named Glenn. I asked for assistance, but instead of helping me, he walked away while I was speaking to him. Walmart delivery. I ordered a very large care package for my son who is going to UC Santa Cruz I'm here in San Diego it was supposed to be delivered the day after his birthday . But they separated the delivery. 1st delivery the driver just I don't know where he left it but my son never received it those are all his snacks and he needs a snacks for school. Then he had something delivered the next day and we're still waiting for all the other items to be delivered each day I don't even know what what I ordered anymore because it's all mixed up he was supposed to receive all of this one one delivery I got a refund for the first delivery but what's that going to do. Not sure why people don't like this Walmart Supercenter on Almaden by 85. For me, the customer service was much better than my hometown. Products are plenty. But I can't find clearance for men's clothing. Aisles were kind of narrow in the grocery section. Once there's a customer in the aisle, we have to use the next aisle to pass through. Did some grocery research and came to the conclusion that Walmart Almaden had everything I needed and was less expensive on all ingredients. Immediately upon entry the produce section is to the right. It was rather busy with shoppers. What made it a mere nightmare...employees stopping you to explain and invite you to sign up for home delivery. At that point I felt like I was being attacked by a car salesperson. (No offense) I know they are doing their job but It might be best to have the solicitors stage somewhere less congested. As a reminder, as I always do, check expiration dates. I selected a bag of baby carrots that expired Jan 1st and today is the 26th. I approached the meat area and headed for the chicken end-cap where breast and thighs were housed. There weren't many packages to choose from plus the end-cap frig had a funky smell like a cat potty box. I don't think it was the chicken but the pallets/wood below. It was stinky so I moved on. Self checkout had a line that went rather quick and painless. Bagged the goods and headed out. Will visit again due to lower prices. I was there around 10 -10:30 am in self checkout today May 10th and the person working in self checkout was so very nice and helpful I appreciate it! And the lady at the exit who checks your receipt was very nice also. Everyone working there are always the nicest people . Someone 2 months ago took down a box of eggs for me off a pallet he saw me looking and I didn't even ask but he asked me and that was appreciated , I always get nice help friendly help when I use to call bell at the locked cabinet and associates will tell you where things are if you can't find something. This is, without a doubt, the worst Walmart I have ever visited. If negative ratings were possible, this store would earn them. My shopping experiences here are consistently marred by a pervasive atmosphere of reluctance and unprofessionalism from the staff. It's truly shocking how often basic customer service is completely absent. Time and again, I've had to escalate simple requests because the employees seemed unwilling or unable to help. From a clearly reluctant deli clerk who needed a manager's intervention, to a self check-out issue where both the associate and a manager failed to reprint a receipt after a long wait, the level of basic competence is non-existent. My final attempt involved a customer service counter where the employee was unhelpful, and the manager's refusal to act sealed my frustration. The employees' terrible attitudes make every visit a distressing encounter. It feels less like a major U.S. retailer and more like an operation run by staff who simply do not want to be there and have no interest in the customer. Yes it sucks that most items are behind the glass and you will need some assistance to get them. Yes the lines on the weekends are long. Yes the parking lot is poorly designed to only have one outlet. BUT the deals are here, massive clearance selection, overflow of inventory, and friendly older folks working here. Awful pickup experience. Day 1: placed a delivery order through Walmart plus. Order was "shopped" but delayed repeatedly before Walmart cancelled the order. day 2: replaced order for pickup. Got a confirmation email that order was ready for pickup; so I loaded my infant into the car and drove over only to find no curbside parking spots available. I checked in and hoped that the "line" would move quickly. After 1 hour a young man finally appeared. I asked what the deal was and he told me that it would be at least an additional hour. I had to leave because the baby needed to be fed. I returned a 3rd day and it was the exact same song and dance. When the parking spot beside me came and went, I asked the attendant what the order was and when I could expect my stuff. He told me that my order was lost and he didn't know if they would be able to find it. Honestly it was such a disaster for the curbside department that the manager should have been out there. If my order was not available, they shouldn't have sent me the alert to head to the store. And if they knew my order was lost, they should have been upfront with it. I have ordered twice to have them delivered to my home and twice it did not come. There was no way to contact anyone at the store to find out what the problem was. One of the orders showed up on our doorstep very early in the morning. The other one said it was delayed and I could never get a hold of anybody on any phone number. If you call into the store and press the button for some extension, the phone rings and rings and no one ever picks up. Do not order for any kind of delivery from Walmart. Floor staff knowledge of product and layout of the store would get a D rating, staff often tell you someone in the department will be right back as they walk with their coworkers laughing about how it's not their problem. Product often out but you still have restockers all evening bringing pallet after pallet out from the back to restock often from what I see an already stocked product (not product missing or out of). Good luck getting someone to help you know if the product is moved to another location All throughout the store! If you try calling in the evening the customer service number to try and speak with someone good luck no one ever answers after 7pm. I've been here numerous times even once dialing for the operator for 30 minutes straight trying to alert them someone in the parking lot is breaking into peoples vehicles and witnessed him disassemble someone's bicycle that was mounted on the back of someone's car. You have security? Definitely not helping! If you Have no other choice but to come here, just know customer service is poor and do not stay inside too long for the chance of your car getting damaged or property stolen. read more

The person parked next to me went grocery shopping and came out before I received my item 20 minutes after. Product Review: We were looking for some specific type of Paletas that most mercados should be carrying. I was not finding them with the local stores and mercados. So I Googled Paletas and boom brought up WALMART? I thought it was funny and pretty cool because our local Walmart is huge. Took the lady down to pick up a few boxes and those of you that enjoy Paletas on those hot days will understand why we stocked up. The heatwave is over. As others have been saying this is the most disgusting and unorganized Walmart ever been to. Coming off the main road trying to come into this place is horrible enough, when walking in the door waiting for the shopping cart monitor is another. After walking around for a bit I seen a 3 lanes opened total and each lane is about a 30 minute wait easy. Then tried to go to the deli just for a quick bite. I have received Walmart money that I applied when I placed my order. I have saved $196.59 in the last three months and a total of $976.18 lifetime savings. I became a member on 4/20/23. Walmart's customer service is available 24/7. If you ever receive any product you are unhappy with, they will immediately refund your money. Walmart now offers a specialized plan that costs a few dollars more but is worth it. They have a team that will deliver your order utilizing Walmart's direct employees. They will deliver your order, unpack it, and place it in your refrigerator or pantry. My only complaint is that they do not always have enough employees to offer same-day delivery. They will then utilize third-party staff, i.e., InstaCart or Uber personnel, to deliver your order. I never pay for shipping items that are not grocery items. Once you are a Walmart+ member, you never pay for shipping. There is no minimum purchase amount. Walmart+ membership has other benefits, such as a 5% discount on travel when booked through Expedia. I highly recommend Walmart+. I pay $9.95 for Walmart unlimited grocery delivery. Walmart gives you Paramount+ and Pluto TV streaming services for free. MH and SJ Almaden Management or customer service don't know policies to cash check I had to question them like a kid. I came in MH to cash a check like I have previously with the same lady Caucasian working at customer service with glasses, last time she claimed the machine was down when a Hispanic woman asked her for a money transfer then she cashed my check. This time she didn't want to cash my check and I asked her why she said it was a written personal check. I asked for the manager and when the manager arrived she coursed the conversation to her repeating what she stated before. Terrible experience, went to my local Walmart. The cashier Carol was very rude. My son and I went to the side of register behind the gate there have for the trading cards. We ask if we can go back there to look and she immediately stopped us and said you have to wait in line. I told her nicely , we are next this is my wife checking out. She replied I would have to stop, not sure why it mattered if she stopped since we were next. We didn't go look at the trading cards, we let her continue. As she was just stacking all groceries on top of counter she looked at me and said you can start bagging. I told her I'm sorry but my 3 year old son that was crying I picked him up and held him. She made a very rude remark then under her breath said a**hole. I put her in the spot and said I m a a**hole because I'm taking care of my son. I told the guy that was just standing there if Carl can get some help bagging since she had a hand cash on and was elder. This was so uncalled for. First off, please check my reviews. I am BEYOND positive in all my reviews, but man, is there any joy in a Walmart? Is there any happiness? So I went on the Walmart app today and checked that Assassin's Creed Valhalla was 39.88 - way lower than any other prices. So I went to the store and go to the electronics - one person is working there. She's an older lady. I ask her if she can get the game for me, she says sure. I tell her it's 49 in the store, but its 39 on the app, can she price match it? She looks at her phone. She says, "wow, the prices don't match." She goes to call her manager. She helps two more people. No manager shows up. I'm waiting her twiddling my thumbs. She calls to get her manager again. Helps two more customers. Still no manager. At this point, I get it. We are in the middle of a pandemic, these people are stressed, so I wait. After a few more minutes, the employee tells me she will get her manager and she walks away. Another few minutes pass. The manager comes, we both explain the price match. The manager says they have to check their own Walmart app. I say, "Oh, I got it. It's like an employee Walmart app." IT WASN'T. She takes out her personal iPhone, checks that the price doesn't match, and says that's odd. Both of them say they can't price match. I say, "oh, how come? It's from your app." She says, "It's from a different stock. You have to order online to pick up." I say, "So if I check out right now on the app, I can't get it?" She says, "No." And I say, "So a truck is going to come and deliver this ONE videogame to the store in the next day (what it said on my phone) because it's a different stock?" "Yes," she says. They cannot Price Match whats on the App with their store prices. In my mind, I scream: Why. Why does this policy exist. Why am I being tormented in this way. Why is capitalism ruining my life and America? Why are big corps like this? Out loud: I thank them for their time and say sorry that Walmart has such a crappy policy that makes them lose customers. I leave. I go to Target. Their price for the game is 59.99, but they price match my Walmart price for 38.99.
