This is a BEAUTIFUL senior living community. It is a continuum allowing seniors to age in place…read more They start with independent living, and they have assisted living and a secure memory care neighborhood as well. The staff are phenomenal. They have caregivers, nurses, and culinary staff that have been there for over 20 years. That tells you everything you need to know about the culture. There are always fun activities available with many opportunities for socialization. They now have a care company on-site providing supportive services for the independent residents as well. Gone are the days of moving into an independent apartment just to have to move to assisted living or long term care community with the addition of care needs. The new management company has been making huge improvements. The Jane is now The Barclay House, new name with the same quality care and attention to detail Tarboro has come to depend on. I would highly recommend it as a senior living solution for anyone in the area.

Doctor and assistants were great as well as the front desk!…read moreHowever, the manager at the Wilson site was rude, condescending, hostile, and hung up on me. She did not have the competence or patience to be a manager imo. After leaving messages to her 4 times over a week, I finally got to talk to her after a 5th call.. She said they weren't running a free clinic. I never ever said they were. If she knew how to file medicare for me (I have diabetes), she would have known that medicare covers the full amount of my eye exam ($215) because of my diabetes. Instead she filed with medicare and no diabetes so of course medicare charged a copay and deductible. So instead of getting my $215 back, i will receive $54 (who knows when), and I assume they pocket the rest. I am elderly and on a fixed income and really needed the money. To my knowledge, they didn't do a diabetic eye exam, where they should have specifically focused on the health of my retinas and integrity of the blood vessels in my eyes.
