They made a call and held my place at this location until I arrived. I was at this location for perhaps 30 mins or a little more while the inspection was made. I contacted them directly from the vehicle listing on their own website, where the Prius was advertised for around $46,000. Their response was a quote roughly $1,000 HIGHER than their own advertised internet price, presented as what they would need to sell the car. I'm not sure what sales strategy that is supposed to accomplish. Someone shopping online can obviously see the advertised price--I literally contacted the dealership from that listing. Quoting me more than the price already displayed on your own website isn't negotiating; it just makes me question whether it's worth continuing the conversation at all. If a dealer has a leftover 2025 sitting on the lot while newer model years are available, I would expect a serious response to a serious inquiry. Instead, this experience gave me a pretty good idea of why the car may still be sitting there.

Willie is the caller and I was pleasantly surprised by the way he talked to me and explained the procedure and how I will be kept informed of findings and cost, if any,before any needed repairs. I have always been apprehensive about having any kind of car repairs from people I don't know because of hearing that often women get taken advantage of, especially older women by repair people. Willie was very respectful and talk to me in layman terms so that I could understand. I informed him that my son may be contacting him about the car and Willie offered to contact him or be called if he had any question. I really appreciated his demeanor and reassurance that they will be able to find out what the problem with the car is and what is the repair needed to get it back on the road. I called my son and gave him the phone number as well as Willie's name as the contact person. I am very confident that my car is in good hands. I haven't heard from him on 8/13/2026 it rained and I notices the windshield wipers weren't working on the passenger side and the windshield had scratches from metal to metal I called repeatedly and finally spoke to John on 8/20/2026. He told me to come and get the car detailed on 8/21/2026 I told him I work till 4:00 and would like to get everything done being that I stay 35 mins away and I had death in my extended family. this was on 8/21/2026 he told me he would call me after he spoke to his manager today is 8/27/2026 still haven't heard from nobody at Lumberton Honda at the point I am gathering all information and taking legal action this is very unprofessional quick to take your money and put you in a car but don't want to honor what needs to be done. So much more to say...I received a call on 8/27/2026 4:09pm from Bradon telling me he was going to call me and set up an apt that's all they do keep you going while they lie. So, I will be filing papers this has to stop you can't keep doing customers like this after you put them in car and promise to fix what needs to be done. John is the worse fast talker salesman.
