Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish…read more I arrived 10 minutes early for my scheduled appointment, only to walk into an office that looked like it was halfway through a demolition project. The waiting area was stripped out, dirty, disorganized, and had almost no seating for customers. It immediately gave the impression of a business that either doesn't care about appearances or is barely functioning. Despite having an actual appointment time, nobody even looked at my vehicle until roughly 45 minutes AFTER the scheduled appointment. Not updated. Not apologized to. Just left sitting there wasting my time. The worst part? After finally getting around to it, I was told they wouldn't even be able to perform the work at all. So to summarize: * Scheduled an appointment * Arrived early * Waited nearly an hour past appointment time * Received zero meaningful communication * Was ultimately told they couldn't do the job anyway Completely unacceptable and incredibly unprofessional. If your shop is unable to perform certain work, that should be figured out BEFORE customers burn an hour or more of their day sitting in a dirty lobby waiting to be ignored. An appointment clearly means nothing here. I normally try to give businesses the benefit of the doubt, but this experience felt disorganized, disrespectful of customers' time, and poorly managed from top to bottom.

When in fact it's not it came from the factory as a 5 speed manual. He also told me I had no more bushings left, well which bushing? Motor mount? CV Axel?. He also damaged my steering wheel he gripped it hard has hell and left a dent on my steering wheel. They tried to charge me almost $900 just for a rotor replacement. I went and got the whole front brake system re done for about $500 with a master mechanic. And what made it worse the Hawaiian punch guy behind the counter still tried to get a sale after I told them no, just give me my truck I'll be on my way.

Did the math with invoice's cost of parts, labor and tax with no coupon ended up being the original price I was quoted. Be wary of what they tell you.

We happened upon A-Tech Automotive a few minutes later, which we learned is run by Pastor Jim Butler. The guys were super helpful right away. Found out it was my head gasket and a few other parts that were causing the issues, and it was going to take over a day to complete. They fully explained all of my options (as a female, I'm not very knowledgeable about cars). Being 89 miles from home, it was easier to just stay in LaGrange for the night. Once we found a hotel, Jim had his son Dakota take my friend, me, 2 coolers, 6 bags, and 4 pool noodles to our hotel-which was extremely kind of them. We spent the night at the hotel. The next morning we were told the car would hopefully be done by 3pm. Once it was ready (about 2pm), Dakota called and offered to come pick us up from our hotel-I was so surprised by their generosity, as it seems to be a rare thing these days. He came to pick us up, and brought us (and all of our belongings) back to the shop. They explained how and why they fixed what they did. They went above and beyond for us, and I'll be forever grateful. They also seemed to have a lot of trouble changing my cars oil for some reason. They did change it for free because they messed up somehow, but messing up 2x was enough for me, I get my oil changed else where now. So good for buying a car, bad for any maintenance needed.
