Around 9:00 AM, someone called me to schedule an appointment for the following week. I did schedule for the following week because I honestly thought they were a different painting company, since I had contacted several and also had other estimates being scheduled. I never heard her clearly say she was calling to reschedule today's confirmed appointment. She may have thought she explained that, but the communication of that critical piece was very vague and brief. A proper introduction should have been something like: "Hi, this is Elizabeth with DFW Painting. I know we have you scheduled today at 10:00 AM, but unfortunately we need to reschedule due to..." That would have made the situation clear. That is a basic and proper opening line for something like this. Because her communication was so unclear, I didn't even realize she was canceling today's appointment and that they were the ones that were already scheduled to come. I am an executive who communicates via email, virtually and in person every day. I am well-versed in proper communication. That confusion and lack of professionalism is why I decided not to move forward with them. Communication is paramount.

I'm done." I have hired a new contractor to do additional paint work for a kitchen remodel. They assessed the other interior work done by this company and felt the popcorn removal and ceiling repaint was done satisfactorily, but also noted many inconsistencies in the retexturing and application to the walls and fixtures. I was aware of lot of uneven seams as well. Overall, they considered the work done suitable for flipping a house--done fast and efficient, but lacking in detail. This was a big learning curve for me.

He gave me a quote right away via text, and came the next day to fix that along with other minor projects around the house. He fixed our toilet (he actually came back on Thursday again to look at it because there was a tiny issue), helped us patch up 2 toilet paper rolls, and tacked on an adhesive to a tiny hole that was causing our shower door to leak. Total with the front door lock fix was $300. Jose told me he also does remodeling. The photos he showed me of a project he did were amazing so I hope we can refresh our place too! We met with 5 different groups for estimates and ended up selecting Crest for a handful of reasons. Their pricing was very reasonable, they were extremely professional and responsive, and they promised to get the job done in less than a week (every other group said 2 or more weeks to complete the job). I sort of didn't believe they'd be able to deliver in the timeline and still do a great job, but they did. My husband and I were SO impressed with this group. Todd, Lance, Oscar and team were absolutely a pleasure to work with. When any issues came up they communicated quickly and took care of it right away. We initially had some trouble matching our paint colors and Todd called me after hours and promised he'd be at the store at opening the following day and that he'd personally make sure the colors were perfect. Sure enough, they were. That type of customer service exceedingly rare !! The paint job turned out great and they have been proactive about offering any needed touch ups. We would use them again and again, and plan to refer them to many friends.
