After all set and done. My offer was accepted. My wife and I signed the contract and we worked with the sellers regarding their terms. The next day, I get a call from my agent stating that the buyers received a better offer with no inspections. In other words the agent wants me to buy a half a million dollar house and not do an inspection. What he did is not fair, not only for me but every person looking for a home. If a contract was signed and all final offers were in, why did he continue to receive offers. He gave us the contract and also his word. I guess we can't trust anything he says. A contract and most importantly your word should mean something, but I guess not everyone follows the same rules. My advice is to not do business with Brian Burke. When they accepted the offer my wife and I got really excited because after two years we found our house, to then get the call stating that they gave it to someone else. Imagine the disappointment. He instead of taking other offers, he should have discussed with us if we wanted to match or do something different to accommodate us since we had a signed contract.
