The motel is basic but clean and tidy with all the expected inclusions. There is wifi in room which is reasonably easy to use. There is a small table in the room with a microwave for any heating of food. There is parking onsite. read more

Not a bad set up - basic but has what you need when staying away from home…read more The room is clean and has a well stocked minibar, though within a stone's throw away from the local Woolies, Aldi and Dan Murphy's. The building is definitely showing it's age, but the refurbish makes it a comfortable setting for a couple of nights' stay. Bed is quite comfy, extra blanket in the closet for those cold CBR border evenings. There is a couch, and a desk so a bit of space for sitting not just confined to a bed. Bathrobes available in the wardrobe and plenty of fluffy towel types of various sizes on the rack. Wifi available though my password didn't seem to work. There is an outdoor pool in the middle of the parking lot next to some grass and a BBQ - maybe in summer.. Overall reasonable value for a clean comfortable room. Close to supermarket and main Queanbeyan shops. Will stay again when up here for work next

The bed was amazing, great food at the event dinner and our coach driver was fantastic with a rockstar style executive coach with leather seats and USB wifi to top it off. Simply the event venue to book in Canberra.

The ordering and paying via QR code was convenient and service was prompt. I enjoyed their calamari and was surprised it was cut like fillets rather than the usual calamari rings. The kids ordered steak (lol) which were huge and were thoroughly enjoyed by the young ones. Didnt get to try a lot but heard the drinks were good as well as their beef curry! Parking could be a challenge so it was good we had shared cars coming here. Dog-friendly! (they offer steak for the pups)

The service was fine, and the restaurant attached to the lobby really is that good…read more When I booked my hotel there was no information that told me that there was a huge construction site right outside. I went to work every morning which made the stay reasonable, but Monday - Saturday the construction crews worked from 7AM sharp to about 430PM. The construction also majorly screwed up my walking route to work as I had to cross multiple streets in L shaped patterns. This would have been fine, but crosswalks in Canberra are green for about 5 seconds. The fridge was OK, but filled with minibar junk I wouldn't touch. No complimentary anything. Bathroom was clearly built by UK designers as the shower overflowed onto the bathroom floor and the glass window which could have easily been 1-2 feet longer or use a door (what a crazy idea!) was just short for no reason so I had to mop my floor every morning. There's no breakfast option as I mentioned before there's a restaurant in the lobby, but you pay a la carte for everything, even coffee. It's good, but honestly just having a working coffee machine with one or two pots going is normal for even the most basic of motels. I would give the place 3 stars had it been half the price I paid. They really need to refund people's money if they expect them to stay in a place that has construction noise most of the day and construction that makes foot and car traffic awful. It's not really near anything as most of the places you want/need to go are due north or northeast of the hotel. QT seems out of the way for absolutely no reason, I really don't know why I stayed here.
If I could give this a 3.8 or 3.9 rating, I would. The hotel staff are nice and willing to help…read more The hotel restaurant and bar are good. If you just want drinks at the bar you need to pay with a credit or debit card as the employees don't want to go behind the front desk to get you change. If you have the exact amount, you're good. The hotel was recently renovated in 2018. However, each room seems to have a different thermostat from new to old, and the people I traveled with said their room AC either worked well or didn't. The cleanliness of the hotel was ok. There cobwebs in one corner of the room, and the bathroom floor looked like it hadn't been mopped in a while. Overall, it was ok, but if you're looking for a hotel in Canberra, do your research.

Recycling is important but recycling unused condiments back to the buffet from dirty plates is just…read morewrong!!! These guys get one star for the work man who seemed to be doubling as the concierge. He was friendly and helpful. They are obviously refurbishing an almost derelict motel but if you are going to open the standard needs to be a little higher. Let me start with the smell, a mix of air freshener and paint. The pool was clean but freezing! The room was cleanish however; the wifi information on the door was outdated, the fridge smelled, there were 6 light switches in a room designed for two, the spare linen was all tatie and the shower curtain was not long enough to be effective and everything was just aged in a way that wasn't quaint. Skip the buffet breakfast it is not worth it even thou it is complimentary.Toast, cereal and tinned fruit is not a buffet breakfast, that is less then is available at home. The coffee was instant! The juice was fruit drink. There were no pastries or yogurt or muesli or peanut butter or lite milk or cream or water or fresh juice or food handling skills. Condiments should not be recycled from the used plates back to the buffet, in a way I'm glad they didn't serve pastries as they probably would have recycled them as well. This place might get better but at the moment they have a long way to go.

So we stayed here for a night during queens birthday. Overall the experience was quite great…read more Location: Almost dead centre in city, next to parliament all the touristy spots, you really can't fault it! Facilities: Got a pool, gym, parking, full kitchen (though missing a pair of scissors for a kitchen), what more can you ask for! Setting: Perfect for a family. We had 3 families and a baby. With 4 bedrooms. It was perfect for us overall. Gives us room to cook and some common area to play. 2 bathrooms. Too easy! All rooms are heated too so perfect for a cold Canberra night. Condition: Clean enough for us to allow the baby to crawl around! One of the bedroom lights were flickering though but otherwise no big deal. Staff: Friendly! So what's wrong? - car park super tight. With any bigger suvs you'd seriously struggle to park - one of the bedrooms the lights flicker - we ordered an apartment with 2 queen beds and 2 rooms with 2x singles. 4 bedrooms in total. However only 1 room had a double bed the rest were all singles. Not what we booked.
