AMAZING I have used Walking Eagle Photography twice now and I couldn't be more happy with Clayton and Laura, they are truly professional and love what they do. My brother flew out from VA to get married and the first people I thought of was Clay and Laura to do the pics and thankfully they had the day available. We had some last minute changes with the venue and Clay and Laura just ran with it and we're so accommodating and understanding. If you are looking for true professionals that will attend to all of your photography and video needs look no further and book your appointment with Walking Eagle Photography now. read more

Clay and Laura are perfect. After my wedding I went through a crazy period of questioning if I liked my dress, my hair, make-up, wedding coordinator decision....but the one thing I'm sure about is that I got the best photography team in the world. I can't tell you how pleased I am with the photos and the work that they did. They were so sweet and easy to work with and made the day feel so fun and easy. They gave me great direction (which I needed, as someone who doesn't know how to model and didn't want to look awkward/cheesy in my wedding photos!). They went above and beyond. I showed Laura a few pictures I thought I wanted to get in the area we were getting married - she printed them all off as a check list and brought them to the venue. They found this BEAUTIFUL tree and Laura let me wear her boots so I could safely climb up the roots to get the most INCREDIBLE pictures. They are lovely, and perfect, and you'll be obsessed with your photos. Can't go wrong. read more

Laura Walking Eagle is one of the sweetest people I have ever met, AND a seriously talented, amazing, incredible photographer. From the first moment I met Laura, I knew I wanted her to be our photographer. We did an engagement session with just Laura and then both she and her husband Clay shot our wedding. Our engagement photos were beyond dreamy and the preview I got of our wedding photos (we just got married in August) literally brought me to tears. My husband and I had quite the journey getting to our wedding day, canceling our original wedding plans twice (COVID brides, you get it!). When we finally nailed down a new date, 8/8/20, the FIRST person I reached out to was Laura to be sure she and Clay were available. I didn't finalize the date until I confirmed we could book them (seriously they are THAT GOOD, I would have changed the date again to be able to use them!). Laura and Clay both have this way about them that instantly makes you comfortable. They are amazing at giving just the right amount of direction to ensure your photos are everything you want them to be and more, but you never feel overly directed or posed. We had a very small wedding ceremony and reception on a rooftop terrace in Laguna Beach that was just barely big enough for our 30-person group size. Despite the very tight space, you never felt like Laura or Clay were intrusive (yet they still managed to get all the right shots and angles!). I could not be happier with our photos and recommend Laura and Clay to everyone I know. I can't wait to have the chance to hire them again in the future for maternity photos :) read more

Laura is an incredible artist and she took the most beautiful photos for our maternity AND newborn shoot this past year! Before our initial shoot she was always in contact and was graciously flexible with us moving our date up. She met us early and made us feel 100% comfortable while she guided us through thoughtful poses and background changes. When she came to our home for our newborn shoot it was like inviting an old friend over to meet our sweet little baby. She was so engaged and gentle posing him and us and the resulting photos were beyond my greatest expectations. I can't wait to create and capture many more beautiful memories of our family with Laura's help and talent! read more

Laura has been a pure joy to work with since the moment we emailed her. We were blessed to find her to capture our son's hospital and newborn photos. Since then we've used her for our family Christmas photo and will continue to do so in the future. Laura was knowledgeable and gentle when working with our newborn. Her creative ideas were easily accomplished through her direction and soft demeanor. We are grateful to find her and look forward to her capturing more family moments in the years to come. read more

Laura and Clay were AWESOME! They are so friendly and professional! They had some great ideas and worked well with everyone from other venders, bridal party, families and guests. They were able to take my wife and I to a couple of locations on the property within a very limited number of time. They were able to take a variety of family pictures and tell us exactly how to line up so we can get to the party. We love them and they are great. They did our engagement shoot as well and we able to get the photos (which turned out great) back to us in a timely manner. They were in constant communication and answered us and our countless number of questions. Hire them!!! You will be glad that you did!!! read more

Where to begin! Laura and Clay are just such an amazing couple and I feel so grateful to have gotten to work with them for our wedding. I can't stop going through all of our photos! They did such a great job at directing us on the day of (something I was worried about since I'm no model ;) ), and captured a great mix of posed and candid pictures. I especially love how they captured all of the details of the day, as well as things that I didn't get to see! I look forward to working with them again! read more

Laura and Clay ROCKED! They were amazing and captured so many great memories of our wedding day in April of 2017. I can't begin to explain how many people have asked us who did our pictures because they were absolutely stunning. Thanks Laura and Clay! read more

Laura is the absolute best. I found WEP by looking up hashtags in Instagram...I was looking for a photographer in San Diego for a shoot in Balboa Park. Leading up the day of the shoot, Laura answered all my questions and was kind enough to outline a plan to tackle all the shoots and vantage points my fiance and I wanted. On the day of the shoot.....we were running behind as I had forgotten my engagement ring! Eek! Any other photographer may have given us a hard time, but not Laura! She patiently waited at the site while we rushed to find my ring. The pics came out great! I totally recommend Laura; she is professional, kind, and patient. read more

Laura and Clay are simply the best! We got our engagement photos taken by Laura and Clay in 2010 and these are still our very favorite set of photos. We still have these photos displayed all over our home even 8 years later! This was our first time getting professional photos taken of us and Laura and Clay made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. We got married on the east coast and regret that we didn't fly the Walking Eagles out for our wedding to capture our wedding day as well! Fast forward to 2017 and we welcomed our first baby into the world. We knew we wanted newborn photos taken and so we immediately contacted Laura and Clay again to work their magic. Laura came to our home when our son was just a few days old and took the most beautiful family photos. She managed to capture one of the most special times in our lives so perfectly and we will cherish these photos for years and years. Laura and Clay have such a beautiful and timeless vision with their photography and guided us through the photoshoots professionally and effortlessly. They are quick to respond and deliver the photos fast. I just love their work and I am so honored that the Walking Eagles captured two if the most important events in our lives! read more

Walking Eagle Photography is hands down the best! We recently had them do a newborn photo session at our home and Laura was amazing! From coordination prior to me even giving birth 'til we received our photos she was so helpful and kind. I had created a Pinterest board of photo ideas and she asked to join the board to see what I had in mind ( that right there is going above and beyond!). She made us feel super comfortable and even when our lil' man needed a nursing break she patiently waited til he was content and back to sleep. She made sure we incorporated all the props we wanted and took her time, needless to say our photos are amazing and we couldn't be more happy with the moments she captured. Walking Eagle also did our wedding video back in June of 2014 and Clay was also a pleasure to work with. And the video captured all the important moments we will treasure forever. Clay and Laura are truly talented and to top it off wonderful and easy to work with. We are so lucky to have been referred to them, they will be capturing our families memories for many years to come! read more

My goodness...my husband and I just received our wedding photos from Laura & Clay and I started crying within five minutes of looking at them. They truly captured the raw, pure emotions that were flowing through the air that day and I could not be happier with our choice in photographers. Not to mention, I felt like we had two of our best friends celebrating with us that day because they are so easy to be around. I never felt like they were in the way - Clay was on the dance floor snapping photos and he fit right in! We can't wait to grow our family and have Clay & Laura capture more of our life moments - you have customers for life with us and we will continue to recommend you to our friends & family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! read more

Laura has taken our family photos since our oldest was 1 year old - now 5 years old. And we have loved them all! In fact, we moved cross country but still have her take our pictures when we are in San Diego. It's important to me when I work with a photographer that they hear my thoughts, are flexible, can work with not so cooperative children and at the end of the day have a ton of wonderful pictures. I can have them printed, share them with family and don't have to choose just a couple. Love her! read more

Laura and Clay did our Christmas card photos last year and we decided to use them again this year! First of all they are such an amazing team together (it's very inspiring!) and that shines through when you are doing a photo shoot with them. They have a great eye for lighting and special backgrounds and always pick really cool locations. They also make it really fun! They are really good at setting you up in good positions and making sure your hair isn't in your face, etc. The photos come out beautiful too and we always get compliments on them! They are super easy to work with and genuinely nice people that just want you to be happy with your photos. We will definitely be using Walking Eagle in the future and recommending them to our friends. :) read more

Laura and Clay are just simply amazing! They shot both our engagement and wedding photos and we are oh so thankful to have chosen them! My husband and I needed much direction during the shoots on how to pose, what to do, etc. Both Clay and Laura have the most amazing vision to ensure the photos are breathtaking. They are such a pleasure to work with and I look forward to using them again in the future! :-) read more

Walking Eagle was the BEST DECISION we made in building our wedding vendor team. Laura shot our engagement photos and we could not believe what my eyes were seeing when we reviewed the pictures. They were unbelievably gorgeous. She captured the light, the love and the happiness in such a natural way. They didn't seem posed. Working with Laura and Clay are easy and natural. I cannot wait to see the beauty they capture at our wedding (I keep checking Instagram every day). I know we will be using Walking Eagle for our future pictures and I will continue to follow them on Instagram because their pictures are just so captivating. read more

Walking Eagle Photography brings out the beauty in everyday life. My cousin had Walking Eagle do her wedding and engagement photos years ago, and they were so beautiful they stuck in my mom's and my mind until it was my turn. From the first sit down with Laura discussing our engagement and wedding photos, I knew I needed to look no further. Laura is so personable and sweet, and the portfolios she brought really highlighted her and her husband Clay's talent. Clay is just as wonderful and they are a true power couple, but humble at the same time. They are very flexible, my husband and I have very different schedules and they worked around that in order for us to get our save the dates out on time. I couldn't decide on what to wear, so they let me have a total of 3 outfits. My husband and I are no models and they helped balance the fact that we don't know how to position our bodies in front of the camera, with the fact that we didn't want to look posed while putting us at ease. We have gotten endless complements on how beautiful our pictures have turned out, and it is all thanks to their talent. We ordered the photo/video package and the video is just as amazing as our photos. When my husband and I imagined our wedding one of the top priorities of ours was to make it fun, and the highlight video we got from them definitely captures that essence. One of my friends stated, "this is a full on music video," and another said "I got the chills so many times, I love how up beat and fun the video is instead of cheesy, it came out amazing." I could not be happier that I trusted Walking Eagle Photography to capture these once in a lifetime events. They are beautiful people inside and out who work hard to make sure what you get is flawless. If you are wondering if you should choose them for any event the answer is YES, you would be crazy not to! read more

We hired Clay of Walking Eagle Photography to be our wedding Videographer and he was fantastic. We just received our video and it was beyond amazing. Such great quality of video. Everyone tells me it looks like a movie! To be honest I barely even noticed him during our wedding. He was able to blend into the environment perfectly allowing us to be natural and ourselves and not feeling like we had to perform for the camera. It was perfect! I was a little particular with the type of song I wanted to go with our video and the song he chose was also perfect! He chose one that fit our personality and flowed with the video flawlessly. PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT!!!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Clay and his videography skills! He will not disappoint you! read more

Walking Eagle Photography came to our home to do a lifestyle photo shoot of my family and it was such a great experience! Before the session I had emailed Laura some ideas and different pictures that I wanted to make sure we had and she made sure to bring the list with her and make sure that we got every picture that I had suggested. Clay and Laura were so patient and welcoming which made us feel very comfortable! They really took their time and didn't rush us at all. They were so quick to get the photos edited and back to us in a timely manner as well. I am so incredibly happy with the photos. They completely captured this amazing time in our lives and we are so grateful to have these photos. Clay and Laura are truly talented photographers and love what they do... and it shows! After narrowing down wedding photographers from vendor recommendations I asked my mom (who is a professional photographer) to pick her favorite. She chose Walking Eagle and I am so happy she did! An engagement shoot came with the package we chose, my husband and I aren't huge on taking photos, so an engagement shoot wasn't a must for me. However, I was so glad that it was included because when I started talking with Laura and Clay as well as when I met them, I knew I made the right decision. When we did the engagement shoot they made me feel immediately at ease. Once I received the photos, I was in love - they were amazing. Fast forward to the wedding- the team arrived on time and stayed on schedule. All of the shots we discussed that were important to me were done. It was such a seamless and calming process working with them. The day went on without a hitch. Once I received the "sneak peak" I knew I was going to be happy with the final result. Everything came out amazing and I was in awe of all the moments that were captured perfectly. I can't say enough about how amazing of a duo Laura and Clay are, I would recommend them to anyone! read more

We knew who we wanted to photograph our wedding before we knew anything other details! We called them the day we got engaged and didn't bother with researching for other photographers. Laura and Clay are true professionals who made what was an incredibly emotional moment in our lives easy and fun. We found Walking Eagle Photography because the woman who was first recommended to us was not in town when we needed our photos taken, she recommended Walking Eagle Photography and it was truly a blessing. We have had Clay and Laura take family photos at the beach 3 years in a row (and counting). They have a way of taking the most amazing candid photos and now my home has photos all over the walls from our summers at the beach. I am complimented every year on our Christmas card which always has their work on it. I have nothing negative to say about working with the Walking Eagles. Clay and Laura Walking Eagle are such talented photographers! My husband and I were in a wedding they photographed and we loved them so much we had Laura come to our house for a newborn family photoshoot. I love how each of them has slightly different style, but they work together so well and really captured the important and beautiful moments of the wedding. Laura is so sweet and was patient with our baby's needs. She listened to our ideas, but was very creative herself and we now have the most precious family photos that we will cherish forever. I don't even know where to start with this truly talented team of photographers! Like many excited brides, I also felt very overwhelmed and kind of lost when looking for a photographer. I happen to come across Walking Eagle Photography through a search and after looking at some other photographer's portfolios I just fell in love with Walking Eagle Photography's style! Laura is so easy to get in touch with, and an absolute joy to work with, and she always answered all of my questions quickly and was always so sweet and professional. At first I was hesitant to include an engagement session in our package, but if I have one piece of advice, it's to do it! I was so nervous having never had professional photography done before, but Laura and Clay were so inviting, professional, and personal! They drove to the location I wanted and were so excited and supportive of my idea of including my horse in the session. It was so much fun, and better yet they are the most beautiful pictures I have! They captured such beautiful and intimate pictures that I am so happy to have forever! It's nice to have pictures of you and your soon to be husband not just in your wedding dress and tux. As far as the wedding pictures go, our wedding was a few months back and I still get teary looking through our wedding pictures almost daily. Laura and Clay gave me the best possible gift, which are all of the memories from that day, and they give you ALL the rights to your pictures from the start!! (which is hard to believe, but not many photographers do.) The pictures are so stunning, and Laura and Clay made us feel so at ease during that exciting yet stressful day. They went out of their way to get them selves able to come onto the Naval base where our wedding was, and they made that day so easy. I truly think of Laura and Clay as friends now, and these two people are the most talented out there for all your photography needs and we can't wait to use them soon for our future family! read more
