DO NOT GO HERE for passport pictures. At least one of the three passport pics, which for some reason are $16 for 2 of the same one and not eligible for promotions, got rejected (still waiting to hear about the kids' passport photos but they were as bad as my wife's rejected one). So I had to drag the kids and wife in again and spend money and time priority mailing the wife's photo in. I may end up having to mail the kids' in as well as expediting their request, we'll see. I asked if I could get new pictures and a refund and the guy, who said he didn't mess up the pictures the first time (he did unless he has a twin) said we could get new pictures only after we returned all other pictures and refused to provide a refund so we could go somewhere more competent. The new pictures seem better so we'll see. I understand we could have looked at the poor pictures better before sending them with our passport application however what I don't understand is the attitude from multiple employees during the process and the poor customer service experience in general. If you do get passport pictures here make sure you check them thoroughly. The rest of this Walgreens seems fine. If you buy something and it's not on sale it will probably be overpriced but that's normal for Walgreens. read more

I need a prescription refilled and they claim they sent request to my provider over the weekend, I called on Tuesday cause Walgreens said there is no answer but my doctor just got it Wednesday morning and they told me they would send it right over l. After work still not ready said it would be ready by 8pm so I said I'll pick up tomorrow cause I couldn't wait that long 10 min after getting home I get a text it's ready‍ today I go inside to get other items but there is no sign inside stating their lunch break and literally there is not one staff member in the store no one at photo and no one at the register! There are 2 stores in Warrenville. One was 1/2 block away, and still i drove to above location 2.5 miles away because staff's level of knowledge, friendliness, and caring (Yes, CARING) is so rare these days. All staff are great, but Brian the pharmacist and Becky the tech exemplify the qualities previously mentioned. BTW, I now drive 9 miles to visit that store!! OMG! One of the worst Walgreens I've ever been to! The pharmacy manager is particularly rude. I was attempting to show my gratitude and appreciation for one of their employees. I was trying to drop off my homemade cookies. The manager was so rude and abrupt! I tried to explain that I only wanted to know what time she was off so I could drop off the cookies and I wouldn't miss her. While I understand wanting to keep someone's hours private I was only trying to reward a job well done but was brutally rebuffed. That I'd why I no longer patronize this particular Walgreens and whole others left so many negative comments and reviews about this horrible Walgreens. OMG! These people do not have any clue what they are doing!!! Stupid beyond any comprehension. Hang up on you. Leave you on hold endlessly without any apologies and then act as if nothing happened!!! Their staff is equally awful and leave you on hold when making any inquiries as to product information or any other information that you might have. The pharmacists and assistants at this Walgreens are knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and efficient. They have handled prescription renewal through my doctor's office, and transfers of prescriptions with no interruptions when I am traveling. My prescription insurance changed this year and the new card came with material suggesting I had to fill my prescription at CVS. I had to fill a prescription late one evening for an ear infection and was willing to pay GoodRx prices at "my" Walgreens due to nearest CVS was closed. I went to Walgreens and they looked up my new insurance and filled my prescription using the new insurance!!! read more

We have a 94 yr old mother with COVID whose internist sent a prescription for Paxlovid to them that they had in their hands at 12:24 pm. They told us multiple times that as long as they have received a prescription before 2:00 pm it can be delivered the same day. That person hung up on me. At 5:00 my husband spoke with the pharmacist and he hung up him as did the store manager! This could have been a life threatening situation and they are hanging up on us and ignoring their phone. This has happened to others we know as well. Never use this store!!! read more

I feel a bit bad writing a negative review of the Walgreens store at 2S613 Route 59 in Warrenville because we've had generally good experiences with them in the past (with one exception for myself that I mention below). In fact, they've have been our primary pharmacy since they opened for businesss. I don't take any medications so my wife usually is the only one to pick up prescriptions but I recently picked up prescriptions for her when she had just gotten out of the hospital after surgery and the man at the drive-up window was not only rude but he took so much time filling the order that cars were backed up halfway around the entire parking lot. The prescriptions were already ready to go but he basically just ignored me while I waited at the drive-up window while people behind me were getting angry. To top it off, he was short and unfriendly. That was my one and only esperience with the pharmacy until yesterday. Yesterday, my wife and I went to this Walgreens to get booster Covid-19 shots since they are available at many drug stores now even though news reports say they will be available next month (September) for those who had the shots early in the roll-out. My wife and I both had our shots very early in the roll-out vacinne roll-out. Our daughter, a registered nurse, made us aware that we could get the booster shots now. So we headed to Walgreens to get the shots over with. When we were walking back to the pharmacy counter, an automated announcement came over the PA system saying vaccine shots were given with no appoinments. When we got the the counter, we asked the pharmacist if we could get the booster shots and we showed him our proof that we had the first two shots early in the year. (We were planning a trip where we would be around a lot of people and thought the booster shot would be a good idea before going on the trip.) He made it clear that we could receive the booster shots but we should have defined risk factors. Well, that was easy, or so we thought. I told him that I was 72 and my wife was 71. Age is a serious risk factor for the virus. Then I pointed out that we were both a bit overweight. Overweight is also considered a serious risk factor. And, in addition to that, my wife has sacroidosis and I have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. So we each have three serious risk factors. But the pharmacist went to talk to another pharmacist (presumably his boss) a couple times and finally came back and said my wife would have to prove that she has sarcoidosis. They couldn't give me the booster because they only had the Moderna vaccine and I had the Pfizer vaccines previously. But even if I had the Moderna vaccine, I couldn't get the booster without proving that I have Type 2 Diabetes. I suggested to my wife that they probably had records of prescriptions for her medicine to treat sarcoidosis but, unfortunately, she gets that medicine from an online company. We accepted the refusal cordially and left but, thinking about it later, I became disappointed and a bit angry with what had happened. After all, we both had two important risk factors that were right there to see and provable - age and weight. That alone should have been enough. In fact, either one of those should have been enough. We could show them proof of our age and they could see we are a bit overweight just by looking at us. What made me a bit angry when thinking about it later was that by demanding proof that my wife has sacroidois (and, if they had the Pfizer vaccine I would have had to prove that I had Type 2 Diabetes) they were indicating that they didn't believe us. Now, why would we lie about something like that? And, again, we both had two serious risk factors staring them right in the face. In other words, demanding proof of a third risk factor implied that we might be lying to them and that's insulting. And, in the end, what would have hurt to simply give us the booster shots. Would there have been a danger if they gave my wife the booster shot and she could only prove that she had two serious risk factors? So why would they refuse to give my wife the booster shot? I should mention that my daughter, who is 51, had earlier in the week gone to a pharmacy and gotten the booster shot as did her husband who has no risk factors. In addition, when she informed other friends and family members, they got the booster shot too, some without having any risk factors at all. So, I'm disappointed with our pharmacy. My wife will probably continue to go there because it's the closest pharmacy but if I ever need medications, I'll find another pharmacy. read more

Very disappointed today while picking up a few items at Walgreens on 59 in Warrenville. Shoppers we let into the store with no mask. 4 young boys dropped their bikes and scooters in front of the doors and ran into the store with no masks, bikes blocking the entrance as an elderly lady had to dance around them to enter the store. Boys were aloud to shop with no masks and nothing was said to them as they checked out and left. I hope to see things changed as Covid is still and I for one plan on following CDC guidelines. read more

I recently drove through the Walgreens pharmacy drive up. I spoke to the tech Nathan. I was refilling a prescription that I use on a daily basis. In the past I have asked for 90 day quantity and been told for one reason or another that it was not available or they only had partial meds or that I no longer had 3 months left on my RX... Today I drive through and ask them to refill for a quantity of 90. I asked if it would go through on the insurance and they assured me it would. The pharmacist Anna came over to verify. I got a thumbs up from both... and an "it will be ready before 5". I have roots as a pharmaceutical sales rep so I am well aware of pharmacy tactics to increase their bottom line! (Especially these big box conglomerations) I miss our small, honest, local pharmacy! I return to pick up my Rx and the price seems low...RED FLAG... That has also happened before when they substitute for a generic even though I have asked for the name brand... (Even after I have told them not to) Subbing the med is Walgreens way of making more money for Walgreens. Today would be No different! As I picked up my meds...before paying, I asked if the name brand was correct and he said yes, then I asked if the quantity was correct for 90 and he said yes... He told me the price...Something was wrong... The price didn't jive, since he told me everything was correct...I was thinking perhaps they lowered the price and the tech assured me all was correct and went forward with the transaction. As soon as I got it through the drive thru window, I looked to verify med and qty... Lo and behold, there were only 30qty in the bag and my charge card had already been charged...I asked why there was not a 90 day supply as those were my words of request to both the pharmacist and pharmacy tech... JUST AN HOUR AND A HALF BEFORE!!! ....They said, "in our system it looks like you have regularly gotten a quantity of 30 only" "most people only want to pay for 30"... I AM NOT "MOST PEOPLE" ! ... We had a face to face conversation! REMEMBER??? They thought they were "doing me a favor" by only filling for 30! Ugh!!! I really don't care what I have picked up before, to me, my authorized request, face to face and in person, supersedes anything "noted in their system" ...NO, you ARE ONLY doing yourselves a favor!!!! A favor to ME would have been to get what I asked for! There are greater advantages to filling for 90 days! There is the price advantage to getting a larger quantity. Savings of $18.00 to me with the 90 day supply vs the 30 day supply. That was the reason I asked for it in the first place. As well as not having to get the annoying "your prescription is due" calls from a random number...let alone not having to deal with the pharmacy every month! I will be seeking another pharmacy that will fill my Rx in the future to my expectations. (" as writteDr. and as my insurance authorizes it) That will be best for all parties involved here!!! In the perfect non-corporate greed world... WALGREENS would Stop pushing their own agenda and begin listening to the needs of the patients who have been forced to do business with them! I too was a pharmacy tech for 4 years back in the day before becoming a pharmaceutical sales rep for 10 years... I know the system! Stop ripping people off in the name of convenience and corporate greed! Very sad! I do not recommend this pharmacy or any other Walgreens pharmacy for that matter. Seek a small local independent if there are any left! The rest of the shop is not reflected in this review! Just the SCAM that Walgreens pharmacy is pushing down all of our throats!
