I had an 830am appt for a covid booster. I arrived a few minutes early to do any necessary paperwork. There was a woman sitting in the waiting area, a couple in front of me who were waiting on their Rx and a line of about 5 cars at the drive thru. I waited about 10-15 for her to help the couple and the next person at the drive thru. There are 3 other pharmacists in the back restocking and looking through files but only the one assisting patients. After giving the pharmacist my name, dob, drivers license and covid card it took another 10 minutes or so for her to enter my info in the computer and create an account because this was the first time I'd ever visited this pharmacy. Unnecessary because I did not want a record with them and a waste of time especially with so many people in the drive thru line still waiting to be helped. She gives my cards back but has to ask for my DL again for some reason. It's 9:07 by the time I get my card back and paperwork to fill out. Nothing in the form is filled out so I'm not sure what they were doing with my card for so long. Another woman and man join the queue. The woman who was sitting goes up a couple times and is visibly upset. She tells me that they won't fill her Rx. I don't know what the deal with that is and don't ask. The gentleman who got there after me says this his doctor called in his Rx the day before and he's there to pick it up. The main pharmacist tells him they never received it and if it were called in someone would have had to enter it in the system. So he asks why that wasn't done then. She says she wasn't working there the day before so she doesn't know anything and calls for backup from another pharmacist. Pharmacist 2 comes up to address the man, talking a mile a minute. He asks her to please slow down he cannot understand her. She pulls down her mask and answers in a quick rude tone that his particular Rx must be sent via electronic transfer not verbally. He leaves upset, understandably. It's 940 now and the person who administers the shots finally shows up. I told him my appointment was at 830 but he had no idea! He said that he goes around to different locations to do shots but there's little communication between him and pharmacists. I actually signed up to get a flu vaccine as well but they completely forgot so I definitely wasn't going to bring it up and have to wait another hour. The actual covid shot was quick, painless and he was pleasant, at least. When I left there was no one left in the waiting area, still a line of people at the drive thru and no pharmacist at the counter. Another bad experience to add to the list of reasons why this Walgreens sucks. I'll NEVER go to this pharmacy again or get a passport picture made here. The cashiers are always very nice so for general Walgreens things, it's nothing outstanding but fine in a pinch. There are glimmers of decency but for the pharmacy and photo department--awful. Waiting an hour for my passport photo to look like an amorphous blob bc the person editing the photo didn't know how to use the software or waiting 2 hours for a shot that took less than 5 minutes to fill out paperwork and administer -- ridiculous! The level of incompetence and mismanagement is inexcusable. read more
