The staff know you by name when they see you and go out of their way to assist by contacting your doctor's office if the prescription is not there. I drive from Fall River to go the Apothecary. Their prices are comparable to all other pharmacy chains. The value is outstanding. I highly recommend the Westport Apothecary. It's a real gem in a world where the remaining pharmacies have become retail chains with personalized services that evaporated when the giant conglomerates bought up all the independent pharmacies.

Rubbing alcohol, bandaids, various cold remedies and more. Some folks of a certain age may not remember this, but you actually had to go to a DRUG STORE to buy these things. So this is that drug store from your grandparent's days. They also have the old school pharmacy kitsch-sun catchers and little trinkets at the counter. But onto the good stuff -the staff. They are kind, friendly and professional. An absolute delight! They clearly had a steady flow of senior customers who are regulars and they took the time to catch up with all of them. My favorite of the three (rated 5 stars) was the one at the corner of New London Turnpike and Arnold Road. My least-favorite among the three was 785 Tiogue Avenue, which I rated at 3 stars. I would rate this one slightly higher, at 3.5 stars if I could, but Yelp does not allow half-star increments when leaving ratings, so it will stay at 3. Anyhow, this store has a different layout, and feels slightly more cramped than the other two stores. The bathroom was reasonably clean, considering the amount of customer traffic. I rated this store slightly higher than the Tiogue Avenue store because the parking lot is larger here. While it's still on Route 3 (Tiogue Avenue and Nooseneck Hill Road are just different sections of Route 3), this store is located on a slightly-less-congested part of Route 3, although the trade-off is that motorists are able to drive much faster, so caution is still required.
