I never had an issue with the pharmacy until last night. I always received great service from Stacey and Joe, and they were always willing to help. Last night I went to pickup a prescription and despite having waited a long time, the new pharmacist C decided she needed to go on a break, switched off the lights and ignored the people that were already in line waiting. As per the website there are no closing hours until 9 pm so found this extremely rude and not very customer friendly to say the least. I can only hoe that management takes some action but not holding my breath. read more

Worst Walgreens I have ever been to. I always have an issue here. It's either the pharmacist that's is clueless, rude and in his own world or it's their "system" that takes forever to get the prescriptions so when you come to get them "they don't have them" but oddly enough, other Walgreens can see them. I've had to go back 3 times for one order of meds because they didn't put the prescriptions together, other times I wait and wait and wait. They tell me to pull around, to get stuck behind a line where the car then refuses to pull around. OPEN YOUR SECOND LANE! Just took me 45 minutes to get a prescription with a screaming baby in the car, when the prescription was sent home very 2 hours ago! I'm truly done with Walgreens, and they are over priced too. Some pharmacy staff members are great while others are terrible. I called early morning about a medication and was told it would be ready by noon. I called back at 3:00 and was told it was out of stock. The first employee should've told me this so I was waiting to pickup my order. Not to mention the terrible phone system and numerous messages you have to listen to before speaking to someone. I'm about to switch pharmacies. read more

I have a condition called Vasovagal syncope I which makes me dizzy/light headed, so sometimes I get overwhelmed and need to sit down and take a minute. While I am in an aile in this Wallgreens I started to get light headed so I sat down for a moment. A male employee approached me. He told me I wasn't allowed to have drinks in the store (I was drinking a coke because my sugar was low) and preceded to give me a rude glare as he walked away. I've never heard of such thing. This man was very passive-aggressive and looked like all he wanted was for me to leave the store. Do better wallgreens. read more

Worst pharmacy ever. They overcharged me for prescription and didn't apply my insurance. The pharmacist did would not even speak to me and try to remedy the problem. I was told they would apply my insurance the next day and I would get reimbursed. They are very unprofessional. It was not my fault but since the pharmacist did not even take the time to talk to me I felt less than a customer. Do not use this pharmacy for fillings. Location: 24801 W 135th St Plainfield, IL 60544 United States I am beyond upset and disappointed with the service at the pharmacy at this location. This morning (8/19) I made an appointment for a flu shot and covid booster at this location. The appointment was for 2pm, I got to the store at 1:40 and attempted to check in on the kiosk, but the kiosk would only allow me to create a new appointment for 3pm and did not have a check in option. I asked the pharmacy desk how I should check in and was told they do not communicate with the area doing vaccines and to sit and wait till I was called in. The door to the exam room was closed and I waited patiently, at 2:10 the door opened and she called in a mom and her daughter, when I tried to say I had an appointment I was told that I was late and would need to reschedule. After sitting there for 30 minutes, and showing up 20 minutes early to ensure I wouldn't be late, I am beyond enraged at the unprofessionalism and absolutle waste of my time this was. I will never be returning to this store, if I could give 0 stars I would. read more

I came here for a Covid shot. At the height of the pandemic I was able to go to sites run by the government and be in and out in literally no time. I scheduled a time on line and am now pushing 30 minutes past that time and when I went to ask how much longer, the clerk cut me off to say the pharmacist is preparing the shot. Not so much as a review but as a "oh there IS a Walgreens near me" This store is just like any other Walgreens you have been to (See the picture) but its kind of tucked away on Rt. 30 and 135th Street where nobody ever seems to go. This is like the land that Plainfield and Naperville forgot since Rt. 59 exploded, so If you are back this way just remember, there is a world past Rt. 59! read more

Zero stars. This is by far the worst pharmacy "operation" I've ever witnessed over the course of 4 years now. Every single time it's at least a 15/20 minute wait in the drive thru line just for 9/10 times to finally get to the window and have them tell me that my prescription(s) weren't ready, weren't printed out yet, out of stock, etc. I never yelp or leave reviews for places other than positive ones but after years of this unprofessionalism, lack of time management, and lack of respect for customers and the time wasted of dealing with this place simply because it's walking distance from my house; today was the straw that broke the camel's back. And I wish I could say it was the first time but this is almost every single time when dealing with this place. Today, I requested a refill on my medication online around 9 am for an 11am pickup. After waiting 15 minutes in line at about 1:10pm (over 2 hours past the pick up time and several hours after placing the refill), I got to the window just for them to tell me "oh yeah, we just printed this actually, it's not ready yet". No apology, no explanation, and no time frame given as to when it WOULD be ready. I awkwardly had to say "okay I'll just come back later I guess" to which the response was "yeah..." I literally hate this place and will now officially be switching pharmacies because they clearly can NOT get it together. read more

This Pharmacy is closed for lunch between 1:30-2. I got a text at 1pm that my prescription was ready so ran right over and arrived at counter to pick up at 1:20. ( checked time on phone) Two people ahead of me. When it was my turn it was 1:31pm. Even with 4 people behind counter they said they could not help me and come back after 2. Their registers shut down at 1:30 sharp. Which we know isn't true. Ridiculous, they lost my business. read more

Yes...the pharmacy is a bit challenging as all the other reviewers have described. HOWEVER...Ken in the photo processing department saved my holiday cards thanks to his keen eye and willingness to pick up the phone and alert me to a mistake which I had made. He noticed the cards didn't look quite right, and rather than just continuing with the order printing he took time to reach out and make sure it it what I had intended. His conscientiousness is a rarity these days and deserves recognition. Fred is one of the store managers, and he is always willing to lend an ear if a customer needs assistance. So...perhaps the pharmacy should be avoided but you definitely want to put your photo projects in ken's more than capable hands!!! read more

If I could do zero stars for this pharmacy I would. We took our dogs prescription here, they filled it and we picked it up. After we got home we see that it said had Acetaminophen in it which was no where on the script. They never told us when picking it up that they had to substitute anything. We called our vet and he said not to give them to our dog it's the wrong med. Now we are out money because they were careless and filled what they thought was an acceptable replacement which could have killed our dog. They are reckless. Also, was told it would take an hour. We had just gotten out of the emergency room and had to fill prescriptions. We arrived 25 minutes before closing. Joe, the pharmacy manager was so rude! We said that we would wait for the prescriptions and he says rudely, "you're gonna have to. We are closing soon." Forward to 10:05pm, the store is already closed. I asked him if they were almost ready. He said, "there are other people ahead of you. I have to do those first." There was nobody waiting in the drive thru or in the store. If he was doing prescriptions for the next day, the decent thing he could've done was get us out of there as soon as possible because we were physically there. But instead he made us wait another 10 minutes before he called us to get them. When we were paying, he apologized because there were so many people ahead of us. I don't know what his problem was, but he should not have taken it out on us. VERY RUDE! We will never get prescriptions there again. Save yourself the hassle and go to the one on Rte 126 and 59, or the one on 111th and 59. Much nicer staff. read more

This is the absolute worst pharmacy ever! Completely clueless, lazy, rude!! Must I go on! The wait times are complete unreasonable! I've waited in the pick up line outside for over 30 mins on numerous occasions and when I pulled up and the pharm tech had no idea what she was doing she asked be to come in and wait! They tell you that your medications are ready then you go there not! My Dr. faxed over medication a script for three months to be filled every month walgreens has a system to file your scripts so you don't have to go get a hard copy at the Dr. every month. They will tell you the don't have the system when in fact they do. So, I did that and I went to fill my sons meds and now they are no longer in there system! Why?? Because someone deleted them all!! Now its Sat, and my son is out of meds and no way to get any until Monday!! So unexceptable!!! I will never go there again! I've pulled everything out of there!! Horrible, horrible, place!! Very very slow service inside the store as well as the drive through. Usually took me atleast 15 minutes to get my medications. Once they gave me someone elses prescription AFTER asking me to verify my address! Was the tech in lala land when I gave her my address so she could match it to the address on the prescription??? i switched my familys pharmacy to jewel which is down the street and they are much faster as well as more professional. there are other options as well in the area such as meijer, target and walmart. read more

Needed Hearing Aid batteries quickly, but Costco was too far away. Grabbed a 32 pack of 312 batteries for $26 (quite a bit more that Costco BTW). Got to work and popped one in my hearing aid - dead. tried another, then another, all tried were dead. I needed to head to a meeting, so went without my hearing aids.A few hours later I got finished meeting and headed to my desk back to get my hearing aids working. I finally found one that worked and then luckily found another. Had to go thru 17 dead batteries to get two that worked. Made my way to Costco to get new batteries on my way home. After a couple days I called Walgreens customer service about the batteries. The customer service woman was very nice and apologetic. Says she was not aware of issues with Walgreen branded 312 batteries. She told me to not worry as the batteries have a 100% guarantee and all I need to do is take them back and get a new 32 pack of Walgreen branded batteries. I told her I do not have receipt, and she said it did not matter. She also added 25,000 award point to my account for stranding me without my hearing aids at work. A couple days later I found myself at a different Walgreens (without my pack of dead batteries) and tried to use some of my Awards points for a purchase, but was told I couldn't. Can this get any more annoying? I was out of town for a couple weeks and upon my return decided to call Walgreen customer service again, Again, a nice woman told me to just take whats left of the 32 batteries (15 batteries) to the store and get a new pack of 32 Walgreens branded batteries, Stopped by the Walgreens and found the manager. He told me without a receipt, he couldn't do anything. Even after I explained to him the two conversations I had with customer service, he said sorry, cant help you.... I left the 15 unused packaged batteries with him as they were useless and likely dead - he was unmoved. I couldn't help but think that this guy really thought I was trying to pull a fast one on Walgreens? I grabbed two gallons of milk and went to counter, and was told sorry, cant use reward points to buy dairy. Really? Got home and called customer service again and spoke to another woman, who seemed really not in mood to help. After explaining everything again for the third time - the two previous calls, the manager, the reward points I cant use, everything, she replied, yeah, you cant use reward points to buy dairy. I gave up and hung up. I hate Walgreens, and this Plainfield store even more. read more
