What more can you ask for they are open 24/7! I order things from them on line and it is always ready within 30min or less ready to be picked up. HORRIBLE service. We've been using Walgreens for years and I have no idea what's happening to there customer service. It's getting worse. Our 1 year old grandson had to go to the ER last night. We had the prescription sent to Walgreens on 143rd. in Orland Park. This was all on Christmas Eve. Sign on the door said they will open 8 am Christmas morning. They actually opened at 9am, but the pharmacy was closed. We called and had the prescription switched to the Walgreens on 159th, in Orland Park. I called at 9:45 am to confirm if they received the prescription request. I was told by the lady that it would be ready at 11:15am. When I questioned how it can be ready at 11:15 when they have a lunch break from 11am to 11:30, her response was " SIR, THE SYSTEM IS TELLING ME 11:15. What a fricken attitude. Our daughter gets there at 11:30am and it's not ready. After 20 minutes and the staff telling her that they will RUSH the order, they get the amoxicillin and head home. It doesn't end there. They get home, our grandson is miserable and when they open the bottle it's filled with powder. My daughter calls and they apologized and said they didn't put water in the bottle to mix. They had to drive 20 minutes back to get them to take care of it. What horrible service. read more

The pharmacy should not allow to make appointments for vaccinations if the person in charge is not on duty. Really false advertisement and bad customer service. No wonder this Walgreens has one and a half stars . They have a bad patch of gift cards and will not give me a new card or a refund. The security tape that covers the redemption code has a glue compound that takes the ink of the card . After it's removed there is no legible code . Not my problem. My elderly mother visited this location in order to try scanning some photos. She is not good with technology and initially got assistance from someone helpful who showed her how to use the scanning machine. When she finished up, she needed further assistance and the original employee was not available. She instead had the misfortune of the store manager coming over, shoving a chair out of the way and pounding her fingers on the keyboard to help complete the task. Her childish behavior was so blatant my mother asked if she should just leave the store because the display this woman was putting on made it clear she was not welcome there. This "manager" clearly does not posses the self-control or demeanor of a person who should be placed in the charge of other people or who interacts with customers. It was nothing short of complete incompetence. There was a young kid, who seemed to be in training during my mother's interaction with the first employee, who was then present during this second incident with the "manager". He was continually apologetic to my mother over the incident and assisted her the best he could. Perhaps you should immediately promote that young gentleman to the manager position since he clearly had the correct attitude and concern for the customer that this "manager" lacked. At the very least, a decent, capable manager should pull this kid aside and thank him for putting the customer first. Because you know that other "manager" probably treats the employees there worst than she treats the customers. read more

This is your typical Walgreens - and we do not mean that in a bad way. Since this chain usually stocks and lays out its stores in identical fashion, you'll not have any trouble finding what you need. We have only used the pharmacy once - and that experience was just fine. This Walgreens is located near a series of apartments and as such is generally very busy, so you may have a wait at times. But on balance, they probably have what you want and can certainly get it if they don't. Like others, they have aisles full of pills and medicines and cough/cold needs. The rest of the store is a giant impulse buy. Hair and shave needs, a few toys for kids, a few school supplies, cigarettes, photography services, and generally an aisle selection set up just for the season - such as, Halloween items, or Valentine items, or Christmas items - etc. All in all a good stop if you are in need of pharmaceuticals ... try it. What I liked best ... as soon as I entered someone greeted me ... good management style. read more

Lately the pharmacy seems very unorganized. Also don't care for the offsite pharmacy call center. If you select to talk to a pharmacy staff member, 9 of 10 times it's because you need personal attention. Every time I call about one of my kids prescriptions, the call center has to transfer me directly to the store pharmacy. So I end up holding twice, once for call center to get to me and again for the call center to transfer me to store. read more

I just left the location where crazy Ismail closed the gate on me at 9:56pm and after calling customer service to make a complaint they said to go to the 24 hour location at 159th and 80th avenue. I told the girl at the counter how my script is frozen at Osco as their computers crashed globally and we're down since 12pm I finally was able to get my Dr. Sarah Sims to send in a new script electronically to Walgreens. This was no small feat as she can't be bothered. So after speaking to customer service they assured me that my script can be accessed at any Walgreens pharmacy. So I told the girl how my script was frozen at Osco I even had the lovely pharmacist from Osco, Camille on the phone and she was willing to speak to them. Ismail accuses me of dr shipping cause he is too dense to see what happened. Then the pharmacist at the 159th location of Walgreens her name is Karen and she couldn't be bothered to get off her butt to speak to me when the counter girl said sorry we need a paper script. Total morons. It was sent electronically and it 10pm at night. Karen only came out when she heard me talking to customer service and making a complaint about her. She tells me you need to have it sent directly to this pharmacy or have a paper script. Not true. I can not wait to speak to customer service when they follow up. Lazy morons who think they are not there to serve you, we pay your tiny salaries! Never again. I drive by the one at 179th and wolf all the time and said I will never go there as the line is always around the bldg. read more

My mom visited yesterday and had issues with her prescription being ready and her insurance. I went to pick up my prescription today. I have insurance and because my health insurance card did not show that I had insurance for the pharmacy, the girl couldn't help me. After I walked out to ask my husband if he had the information for the insurance, I decided to walk in and see if I can take my prescription elsewhere. Since I never have issues anywhere else. Then all of the sudden the manager got involved and was able to find my information. After half hour I was finally able to get my medication and leave. Train your employees the right way or shut the place down. The job isn't that hard. Pathetic. read more

The most horrific experience while in excruciating pain. I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Dawn who started off nice nasty with my son and I feel it was because of our race and I couldn't be seen behind my car's tinted windows. Leaving the urgent care, I was instructed to use this Walgreens because it was the closest 24 hour one. I get there and was trying to run my medical card and was advised it wasn't going thru. Fast forward, another car was behind us and was asked to drive around and go to the outside lane. We were able to hear the conversation and the tone and dialogue was totally different with the Caucasian gentleman. As she finishes up with him, she offered to call the work insurance and I thanked her for her due diligence because I didn't have my Rx card with the bin number. As I'm being driven home, I go thru my work info to find my card. I called the store to inform I have the bin (was never informed that she had this info) and that's when all hell broke loose. "You need to call the dr and have it switched over." me: " ma'am I'm calling because I found the bin info." a bunch of huffing and slamming of the keys on the keyboard with an attitude tone "what's the numbers?" me: " I'm sorry I'm bothering you, I'm just trying to get out of pain." her: "I have those numbers and I've just been dealing with this for a long time now!" wow! Me: "That's your job!" (to help the customer. I'm saying in my head). her: "it's not my job to call your insurance company but, I did!" "I don't know why you're aggravated because I'm not!" (says this after I expressed her rudeness and frustration witnessed). ask for her name and of course she gives it and hangs the phone up in my face. People like this should NOT hold such licensure. Here I am not even a year later from being involved what almost was a deadly car accident where I was hit by a drunk driver. Now suffering from PTSD, anxiety and all other pains to be treated as such while going thru a pain crisis. Individuals need to be addressed about their work ethics. I will not be vis this location ever again just by what I experienced tonight. You're a professional and slamming phones , heavy breathing, banging on keyboards etc. displays attitude no matter what field of customer service. If I could give 0 stars I would. The pharmacist that works the midnight shift is completely rude and ignorant and should learn some manners! Her name is "DAWN" and she gives me and my wife a hard time, every single time. Every one has different time schedules and I go and fill my prescriptions a little after midnight because it is more convenient for me and my time schedule and dawn denies my scripts and says that she can't fill them until "her business hours which she thinks it's 7-8 am" it's a 24 hour pharmacy and they should fill them at "anytime" not when she thinks it's ok to fill them. I'm so sick of getting her attitude and her ignorance. It is un acceptable. The only reason I go there is because it's the closest pharmacy to me that is open 24 hours. They are suppose to accommodate me and not the other way around. There are many people that have complained about her and I don't know how she still has a job there! I am going to call the corporate office for this and let them know what kind of person they have working there. Totally unexceptable!! We frequent this drugstore due to its proximity to our apartment. They normally have what we need but usually are quite busy. Don't expect to get in and out quickly. I don't know who goes to these places to do their actual grocery shopping but there are people who do. Get in line behind someone with 25 items and before you know the line will be 5 customers deep. Let me start by saying that the three star review is for the pharmacy. Every time I go they are quick about it. There has been a few times where they don't come to the window and I hit the call button. They answer with a little bit of attitude. The least they could do is say they'll be right with me. But mostly the employees have stayed professional. I have a two star review for their photo department. The woman who helped me was nice, but seemed annoyed that I needed some help. At one point I borrowed a lightening cord to upload some photos. When I went to return it I handed it to a lady and she just rolled her eyes and said "just set it down". OK! Rude. She even came on the floor and helped me pick out the vitamins I was looking for! I would not have found them if it weren't for her, she even gave me a detailed description about their use as well. Every time I go there they are extremely slow, half the time there is no one at the counter to even assist you and they take forever to notice you, they never have enough people working, usually takes an average of 20mins to drop off or pick up something, and when people are there the majority don't even know what they are doing. read more

My meds have always been ready when promised. They are open 24 hours which is good when you have a sick kid that needs something immediately. Sometimes they appear short staffed and the drive up window can be slow. I often utilize the auto pickup window. I swipe my FSA or credit card and the window opens and I get my prescription quickly. read more
