Pharmacy, whoever took my call was rude and hung up on me for asking if my meds would be ready in the 30mins like they said because I was already told that once before. Walgreens at 122nd and May is a disaster. After three trips, system failures, and dealing with a rude pharmacist (Catherine), they still refused to give me my medication--even when I offered to pay out of pocket. They treat life-saving meds like an inconvenience. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Long uncomfortable lines. Parking lot always dirty. Last visit there were so many gross stains and trash all over the parking lot that a swarm of breeding cockroaches had taken over. Yikes! Call an exterminator (and overnight parking lot cleaner). Inside they checkers are too few and they seem to have a high turnover, so expect waits. Pharmacy folks are nice but have the same waits. I've always liked the seasonal stuff you can get at Walgreens. Typically if you come at the right time they clearance it out at very low prices. BUT I've never seen a clearance aisle at this location. I added back a star because there are too few 24 hour stores these days. Every so often I need these guys. Please don't ever close! Lol. The SLOWEST pharmacy ever. I waited 32 minutes in the drive through (2nd in line) and when I finally got to the tube, I wait a bit longer before someone said anything. They finally asked my name and all of that and the lady said they had put the order back. She added that they put them back if is hasn't been picked up after a while. I asked how many days for them to put it back and told her I just got a call Friday at 12:57pm that it was ready. Barely two days ago. She just said idk and that she put the order in again and it would take about 30 minutes. Said to hop back in line or come inside and wait. Idk if they are ALWAYS understaffed or what but my husband went last time to pick it up and it took longer than that. Never a smooth experience. read more

I can attest to the other reviews that state how SLOW this Walgreens location is. In addition, the staff are rude and act like they are doing YOU a service to simply take your money and give you an item. My last experience with them was to pick up a prescription on Sunday that had been called in the past Friday. After waiting for 15 minutes at the drive-thru speaker before any acknowledgement of my presence was given, I was informed that I would need to go inside and wait another 20 minutes as they has not yet even begun to fill the prescription. At that rate, I would have been better off by having the prescription filled via Amazon mail order. Personally, I'll never go back to this store and, based on my experience with other Walgreens, I will avoid ALL of them in the future. My advice is to mail order what you don't need immediately, and use a local independent pharmacy for anything else. read more

I had to drive to 2 different locations, this being one of them. The automated call system informed me my prescription was ready at the Britton road location, so I headed that way. I was told it was at the 122nd location after being told it wasn't in the system at all, incorrectly. I drove to 122nd to be told it was at the Britton rd location. read more

This is by far the slowest Walgreen's I've ever been to. Go in to pick up photos stand for a few minutes ask the front entry clerk to please call for someone to photo. I stand there watching 3 employees walk around just looking at me... few minutes goes by still nothing. Finally I approach the front clerk again and he checks me out. Was in here another time and I walk up to check out with candy there was a line of about 6 people just like someone else's photo and the clerk says "coupon doesn't work" I use coupons all the time it wasn't expired or anything. I was so frustrated by the time the clerk finally came I just walked out. I have NEVER done that ever but I just can't stand this walgreens. I will definitely be driving the extra 2 miles to my old walgreens just to avoid this place. However, I will give props to the pharmacy - never had any issues with the drive thru. read more

I normally don't do reviews, but these jerks cost me about $600 in two incidents within a month. My wife asked me to pick up her scrips. I gave them her name, they handed me the bags and I paid. Come to find out they refilled a scrip that had been replaced with a different formulation, and which she didn't request to be refilled. $160, with no return or credit on my visa. Next, my Dr called in a ew prescription for me. The charged me $482. Turns out they didn't call for the insurance the had on file. The after insurance cost would have been $42. Total damage was$620. I'm still thinking about small claims court. The Statute of Limitations has a long ways to run. Meanwhile, I am taking my business across the street to CVS. So far, they have been much nicer. read more

i moved from dallas not long ago, and both times i've refilled my prescriptions after changing locations they have gotten my meds wrong/did not give me right dosage. Last week they gave me a box with no medicine in it. I don't have a life threatening disease but if i did i would sue! that is DANGEROUS. People are trusting you with their medical needs! read more

Honestly this place is just a disaster. So disorganized and nobody seems to know what's going on. I had a prescription sent here and came in to pick it up. Was told it would be about three more hours (!!) annoying but fine. Came back and they said the prescription was sent to a Walgreens on the south side. Like not sure how it was just here but now it's not. Then they say they can get it for me but it will be 30 minutes. To send it to another pharmacy was going to be more paperwork and waiting. So I guess I'm stuck waiting again. It's a nightmare. read more

While waiting on a prescription to get filled I browsed the aisles to see if there was anything I needed while I'm the store. I guess the male pharmacist on staff felt rushed and made a statement to the effect of "I guess this guy can't wait any longer for his *medication I'd like to keep private* since he's pacing the store". If I could not give this store a star I wouldn't. The pharmacy tech Gabrielle is not only rude, but incompetent. While dropping a RX off for my daughter she showed extreme attitude and disgust of me causing her to ACTUALLY work. She told me it would take 1 1/2 hrs to fill the RX on a Sun. night with no other cars in line. When we got there to check on it, we were greeted by a male tech. who actually seemed nice. Then Gabrielle showed up and asked us to pull forward while they look at something. When told we were not moving and she can service us first since we arrived first she became irritated and starting yelling at us that we HAVE to pull forward, it's the policy. We asked for our RX back and she threw it in the sliding door and slammed it. Poor customer service that reflect on this store. read more

This place is just crazy busy in the pharmacy. You have to tell them you are waiting or it will be hours for you to get your meds. That is my biggest complaint. Their picture prints are horrible. The crop is way off. The check out lines at the front are always long. It's just not the quickest Walgreens. But I'm sure the location has a ton to do with it. At least it's not dirty! read more

THE WORST EXPERIENCE AT THIS WALGREENS!! At 9:30 pm I called to see how late passport pictures were taken and a man(which is the worker mentioned later) told me they can be taken at any time. He said for an experienced worker I should be there before 10 pm because the night workers are not as experienced with taking and preparing the pictures. I had called for my boyfriend because he was rushing from work to have the picture taken so I'm not sure if the guy on the phone had expected a girl and was irritated because it was another man that showed up to have the picture taken but he was extremely rude. He took 1 photo and when my boyfriend asked to take another because he wasn't satisfied with the first one the worker said and I quote "Why? You cant smile and you cant change your face. Its going to look the same." My boyfriend then asked the guy if there was a problem and the worker said that he is off work at 10 pm and has at least another 15 minutes worth of closing duties he needs to do. My boyfriend then asked if there was another person that could help take the picture and the worker stated that nobody else was available and pictures weren't taken after 10 pm, not knowing that he had just spoken to me and that I relayed the message to my boyfriend (the person having the picture taken) so when my boyfriend brought the phone call up the worker then stated, 'oh well..the person who would have been there to take the picture after 10 called in". It just seemed like a lie since he started out saying that the pictures weren't available after 10 until he was basically called out on his lie after realizing that the customer (my boyfriend) was aware that pictures were available at any time (per the employee over the phone). Pretty much saying he was being rude because he was inconvenienced by having to do his job. And again this is the same guy who talked to me on the phone and stated that it would be no problem to take the picture. My boyfriend showed up at 9:54 and the picture took not even a minute. By the end of this ordeal my boyfriend turned down the picture and waited to talk to a manager. The original employee ended up leaving at 9:57 which to point out was before his 10 pm shift was over that he had made such a big deal about, so there was definitely no 15 minutes worth of closing duties. The Asst. Manager once she was available to talk to didn't seem very worried about the situation. She seemed irritated with the employee but didn't apologize or state that the employee would be spoken with for his unprofessional behavior. When she was told the employee said pictures couldn't be taken after 10 she stated that was definitely not true because she could take the pictures also and she would be there all night. My boyfriend then asked if she would take the picture and was told she can but she was the only one there because the other employees were leaving so it would take awhile. He left and got the photo taken at another Walgreens location. If it were an option to rate this store ZERO STARS after this experience tonight I would. We are both regulars in this location. We live close to the store so we shop here for everything, including our prescriptions. We will not be returning here again. A longer drive is worth the customer service. read more

Horrible staff and customer service. I am normally a customer of CVS because my insurance requires it. I recently had a new prescription for our "Furry daughter" a well loved puppy. The med she needs is roughly $80 a month through the vet. Walmart sells it for $8 a month. After our vet visit my non furry daughter fell asleep in her car seat and I didn't want to wake her to go to Walmart and wake her. I checked Walgreens.com, the only pharmacy in my are with a drive through. The medication is clearly listed as a Tier 1 generic which is $5 for a 30 day supply. I dropped the script off and was told it would be an hour or two before it was ready. When I returned I was told the cost $24.99. I questioned the price as it is clearly listed as a $5 med. I even showed the website and list to the pharmacist. I was told that they were not aware of any such list and the price is what it is!! I asked if they were refusing to honor the advertised price and was told that "they" did not advertise that price and they would not honor it. Not to worry Walgreens. Walmart was happy to take the script from you, filled it in 30 minutes and charged me their advertised price of $8. I may not be a fan of Walmart... But at least they honor their advertising. read more

I agree with most of the critical comments. I use this particular location because it is convenient on the way home since I moved. I used to use the Walgreens on Blvd and 33rd which had EXCELLENT service. There are some very rude techs at the Walgreens at 150th/Western location. They appear to think they are above customer service and are SLOW on the drive-thru as well as the front counter. I have had to stand in a long line at the pharmacy when VERY SICK because they only had one person to work the counter. The only reason that I didn't go through the drive-thru in that visit was because I had to pick up over the counter meds too. Now, what would they have done if I had passed out in the line because it was so slow?! I couldn't go sit down until my "place" came up because the others in the line would have protested my "cutting" in line. I am seriously thinking about changing to the Walmart Marketplace just up the street since they have a drive-thru now. read more
