To start, this area of Madison is not the best, so the exterior/parking lot stays scattered with trash and litter, and it is normal to be accosted by folks walking or out. This is no fault of the store itself, but just a heads up. The interior of the store has seen a revamp in the past few months with the update of the HealthHub first, followed by the front register area and now the updates are starting to hit the actual store and pharmacy, which is great. HealthHub has been hit and miss with service. Appointments are required, but have no real impact on your wait or seen time. The nurses are not exactly friendly. It is weirdly very transactional, but I guess I can understand when they see a constant flow of folks for all types of stuff. After my second visit to the HealthHub, I actually chose to get me a primary care physician as I couldn't do it another time. This location is my primary pharmacy and I will say that the pharmacy is easily 5 star for me. The pharmacists are always great, I love the messaging system for prescriptions and enjoy the ease of getting any needed vaccines. Overall, not the best CVS, but I am happy with the pharmacy.

This store is super close to the hotel where I'm staying. It takes less than five minutes by car. I came here to get some beverages. I ended up getting a twelve-pack of Diet Dr. Pepper. This store has everything you need. Fake nails? Yep. Shampoo? Sure. Advil? Yes. Sugar-free candy? Definitely. I was in the hair care section. There were two women getting hair dye. One was on the phone and abruptly left. Her offspring had swallowed something toxic, so she told the person on the other line to call 911. The other woman followed suit. I hope that everyone is fine. It was so unexpected to hear. This drugstore had a lot of plushies. It had Disney pride plushies. There were along a bunch of Squishmallows. Everything made me happy. I went to the checkout to pay for my items. I had a man help me. He was friendly. I entered my phone number to take advantage of discounts. I paid with a credit card. The transaction was smooth. My second visit was at around 10:40 pm on my birthday. I wanted to grab a bite to eat. Nothing major. I wanted a snack of some sort. The local Taco Bell was closed. I came to this Walgreens, and it was closed, too. The reason why I was disappointed was that this drugstore is supposed to be open 24 hours a day, according to the sign outside. It shuttered at 10 pm and was scheduled to reopen at 8 am, according to another sign. Bummer. It's a good drugstore. If you do get the munchies late at night, you are better off finding a different place in case it decides to shutter early. (225)

I've been to this CVS for my aunt and mother quite a few times, and everytime I'm dealing with the…read morepharmacy department, the pharmacists there seemed very irritable and not friendly at all. This last time I went it was for my Aunt to pick up some prescriptions for her. Mind you, my aunt is disabled and she isn't able at times to pick them up herself. So, I went to the pharmacy department and told them I was picking up some medicine for my aunt. I gave them her DOB and name. However, the lady there looked very confused and asked why my aunt isn't here to pick up her own medicine. I kindly explained to her that my aunt is disabled, and at times, her disability prevents her for getting her own medicine, so I try my best to help out. Then, the lady at the pharmacy department scoffed and told me to wait to get the medicine. I sat down at the waiting area and waited for about 8 minutes. The lady comes back to the counter, and said that my aunt didn't have any prescriptions on file. I told her that was impossible because I just dropped those prescriptions off for my aunt two days prior. The lady went back to her computer, started typing for about 4 minutes and said that they wouldn't be ready until Sunday. Now.. Why did it take all that time, all that confusion, just for her to say they aren't ready today??anyways, I told the lady that's fine, and I said have a good day, and she didn't say anything back. It's fine, I wasn't upset, but still, I just felt a little disrespected. So, I called my Aunt on the phone, and told her the situation and she told me that she will get it filled this last time at this CVS and she will switch pharmacies because she doesn't want to do business with a particular establishment that disrespect their customers. I would've gave the review 1 star, but since the lady at the front of the store ( not in the pharmacy department) was really kind to me, I didn't want to blame the whole store on just that one person in a single department. It's not everyday you come across this type of people who genuinely care about not only just filling someone's prescription and making money off of them but care to know more about the person. Almost everyone that works here knows the patients by name that walk up and make you feel welcomed. This pharmacy is defiantly one to give a chance! The front store staff is just as kind and are willing to help you find anything you need! Store is always organized and clean and I don't have to worry about being neglected as a customer needing assistance.

Inside was clean, but the parking lot needs some attention. Service is okay. I wouldn't classify it as friendly, but neither rude. Somewhere along the lines of "meh".
