What in the ever living heck? I walked into this place thinking it was a Shell gas station…read moreconvenience store, and stepped into a huge grocery store slash restaurant. I later learned that it's a Shell gas station IGA grocery store hybrid. It looks very unassuming from the outside, but it's almost bordering on a gourmet grocery (or gourmet for the area). I visited mostly for the restrooms, which they don't have many of (only two stalls), but it's fine. Walking around, they have aisles of groceries -- almost everything you could need. They also have a frozen section, a "beer cave," lots of snacks for the road, coffee and other stuff. There's also a chicken restaurant inside, with lots of tables to sit and eat there. The store was clean and very organized, and it was a pleasant experience to visit.

There are old-time signs on all the walls of the diner area. The locals sit at the diner bar and talk on all types of subjects. It's a very Divey place and the food and service is good. Gave it 4 starts because although the place is a Marathon gas station, it looks just a little "suspect" in terms of safety. However, once you go inside, the people are very friendly and welcoming.

Now, being a guy, I usually don't care too much about a bathroom, as us fellas stand anyhow, right? But this place was just disgusting, the bathrooms were falling apart and they did not even have soap or hot water in the restroom. Fortunately my wife carries hand sanitizer. I'll give this place two stars, because they had cheap fuel. Otherwise, I would not recommend this place. My wife and son used the loo (restroom) down the street at the Comfort Inn & Suites. What does one do when in Kentucky? Go seeking bourbon, obviously. Not being familiar with the area,…read morethis was the first option that cropped upon a quick Google search so this is where we went. My friends, who have no appreciation for almost any sort of liquor, sent me in alone. I pretty much zeroed in on the bourbon selection and didn't spend much time looking at anything else. I was a little disappointed that the selection of bourbon was fairly standard for any liquor store in the general midwest vicinity. Prices were standard. Service was amiable enough. Everything looked clean and organized.
