My prescription was sent to the pharmacy at 10:00AM I arrived at the pharmacy drive thru at 10:45 only to wait in line and have the person seen in front of me then the sign placed in the window as a pulled up next. The lady placed the sign in my face showing they were going to lunch. When I returned at 1:00PM I stressed the urgency for my daughter meds and was told I have to wait it can take a half of an hour and that I should wait for a text. It is now 6:35 my daughter is without meds. This is a horrible experience. I do not think I'm gonna get my daughter's medication before they close. read more

This is the worst pharmacy EVER!!! The lines are always long! They move slow, never have your medication ready and will have you waiting forever! They always seem to be short staffed, meanwhile will have 5 people working at the same time. It's ALWAYS a long line!!? read more

I went inside & there were 17 people in the Pharmacy Line. There were 3 cars in line. This was my 3rd visit to pick up my much needed medicine. Meds were NOT ready as they suggested. I'm certain that these companies are making BILLIONS of dollars. Why not hire more people to assist in the filling of prescriptions? On July 22nd, while visiting the Walgreens pharmacy located at the Homewood location on 183rd and halsted an employee directed an obscene hand gesture (middle finger) toward me. I captured the incident on video. This behavior was highly unprofessional, inappropriate for a healthcare setting, and warrants immediate review and appropriate disciplinary action. Tried to use a digital coupon. First the salesperson tells me it was t the right coupon. The. I read it carefully and it was the right coupon. It had a picture of a sample foot product that wasn't the one I wanted. Then I read the coupon and my product was listed. Then they start with did you just download it now? Here in the store. I said Yes. What difference should that make? Not helpful at all and also both sales ladies have a nasty attitude .you work Walgreens with the public. If you don't like work somewhere else. I get all my vaccines at Walgreens so they have all my records in front of the. pI got a Covid and RSV in September. In October I went in for my Pneumonia and I'd received a reminder for another Covid vaccine so I got that as well. I had 2 Covid vaccines in 5 weeks I got sick and had to cancel a knee nerve block I had scheduled on November 1st and it's put off till December 23rd as it's the first available appointment. My doctor called in a prescription for Paxlovid because I had Covid. The person I called at Walgreens said there was no record. I messaged my doctor and they said that they called it in. When I called Walgreens back they found the prescription. This caused a long delay in getting the medicine. I asked if they would also get a bottle of Robitussin (recommended by my doctor) so I could pick up both at the window. I did not want to come in the store since I had Covid. When I got home I discovered that the outside box of robitussin was open at the top with a small piece of masking tape holding it shut, obviously tampered with. I opened the box and the little plastic shot glass, that comes with the medicine, had red residue in it like it had been recently used. I don't know why the Walgreens employee could not help noticing this before she gave it to me. The masking tape on top was very obvious. There are two sides to this Walgreen's. On one hand you have the pharmacy, which has consistently friendly and capable staff. I've been using this location as the primary way to get my medications, both prescription and non-prescription, for a few years without any trouble at all. The other part of this Walgreen's is the front end, which is sadly lacking in all of the areas in which the pharmacy succeeds. The employees are almost universally rude and unpleasant, without so much as a word of greeting or any politeness whatsoever. They are also painfully slow, and clearly not as knowledgable about their jobs as they need to be. Employees I've seen there for years still act like they're on their first day. My recommendation would be to stick to the pharmacy and do any other shopping you need to elsewhere. I love the pharmacy staff, but the other employees are so bad that it's best just to avoid it if at all possible. read more

Well to start things off, your pharmacy gave my grandmother the wrong medication. She almost DIED from it. This is sickening. Secondly, the service is horrible. They completely ignored me when I asked for new medication. You're lucky this is the only Walgreens by my house. I would get you sued for attempted murder. Also, the drive-thru took AGES. We had to wait 30 minutes for answers. Then, the worker told me we have the right medication. Which was totally a lie. I'm disgusted by the workers there. This has to be the worse pharmacy I have been to. The cracks don't show on the surface. I assumed everyone was over worked; forgot to fill my RX in the 12 hours I asked for, snapped because maybe that really is a mean customer. After a year I can safely say a few of the pharmacy techs and pharmacists here do not make up for the bad apples that I am absolutely done with. Thank you for announcing my medical conditions, questioning why I was on narcotics, forgetting to fill my husbands anxiety medication. Thank you for teaching me to always ask for triple count and to count it near the cameras. I hope whomever stole my sons ADHD medication consistently gets help. Thanks for announcing my sons monthly Rx looked 'sketchy' and making me wait longer when I can't trust you to fill it on auto replenish. I really never enjoyed my 1-2 hour waits, but I especially hope the two techs who consistently treated me like I was dirt for asking for triple counts because of missing pills and even picking up MY pain medication. I hope maybe one day these two can also experience someone treating them like this when they have a severe chronic illness but manage to work full time. Walgreens; you suck. I am disgusted pharmacy has the ability to over charge on RXs. $160 over a year since no one knows how to properly bill. Awful waited in the drive thru for over 45 minutes with only one car in the line. Proper thing to do is ask the car to come inside.

The amount of time it takes to checkout at this store is ridulous. Absolutely unacceptable. Every time I go into this store there is a short line with minimal items being scanned. Somehow...it always takes at least 10 minutes to get through a line of 3 people. Last night I waited in the main line for 10 minutes and it didn't move there were 2 people ahead of me that had maybe 3-5 items each. I went over to photo area to check out since only one person was in line there. That line took another 10 minutes before I put my stuff on a nearby rack and left. This is my experience every single time I come to this store. Please just get some real staff in here that can ring up a customer. Or get a self checkout machine, which would be 8x faster. read more
