A small pharmacy in Hoboken. I was looking for some vitamins to boost my immune system. The pharmacy is located at the very far back of the store. I picked up items needed for travel as well. It seemed like they may be short in staff or not expecting long lines. I had to wait a good amount of time just to make my purchase but at least I found what I needed and some treats. Lol read more

What a disgrace. 30 min on hold with pharmacy during my lunch break then disconnected. I need to change drugstores.

Made an appointment online for a vaccine (not Covid) showed up promptly for my appointment to be told by the pharmacist tech " oh sorry we don't have that vaccine here I know the computer let you make an appointment but it happens all the time" it happens all the time are you kidding me?? So how many other people other than myself have wasted their time going there for a vaccine only to be told the same statement. We have computer systems that can launch rockets into space but Walgreens can't figure out how to tell people they don't have a certain vaccine They need is not available? What a circus read more

When this was Rite Aid it was a nice store that was well supplied with a good customer rewards policy now as a Walgreens it is poorly supplied and is filthy. Don't go there use the nearby CVS. read more

Terrible pharmacy! My doctor sent in a script at 11am on Friday for a very simple/common prescription. It wasn't filled until 5:40pm but the counter closes at 6pm, and the pharmacist "just didn't show up" Saturday or Sunday despite having hours listed. Called Walgreens customer service to have the prescription transferred to another location that might actually BE OPEN and they told me there's nothing they can do. Doctor office is closed all weekend so guess I won't be fighting this infection till Monday morning! This isn't my first time having issues with this location. For a brand like Walgreens to have a pharmacy in a city setting only open until 6pm is laughable. Add the fact it often takes an entire day to fill simple prescriptions and nobody ever answers the phone. I'm not sure I've ever had a successful interaction with them. So close to me, yet so disappointing. You go to a convenience store for convenience, yet so often this place disappoints. Products are overpriced and it is hard navigate the store and find things. I spent far too long in the store looking just for bread (didn't have), toothpaste (took a while), and milk. Btw, there is no non-dairy milk! Throw it the fact that some of the ice cream points are literally encased in ice in the freezer, and you know why I only come here when I have to. The hours are a plus. read more

I MUCH preferred Rite Aid to Walgreens. The prices at Walgreens on run-of-the-mill stuff is SO much higher than RiteAid (which apparently sold all it stores in Hoboken to Walgreens). The staff at the Shipyard Lane store, including the cashiers and the pharmacist are all VERY nice, competent, capable, friendly, responsive. I just don't like Walgreens!! They have this super weird policy--you get these coupon-looking vouchers for 7 dollars when you check out...and the slip of paper has an expiration date. But the coupon is not a "coupon" per se, or any kind of dollar-indexed discount (on anything). Rather, it is like a permission slip, that IF you come back to Walgreens and spend at least $30 bucks at one time, then you get POINTS! And, then later...some time later, you MIGHT get a discount. I am forced go to this store all the time...and I've received a bunch of these "deals"...and they always expire before I have a chance to use them. I'm an attorney, and I can barely understand the "terms" of these slips of paper. Walgreen's "deals" and discounts sort of reminds me of what a drug dealer would offer.. The cosmetics at Rite Aid were better (wider selection of brands, including the low-end, which (trust me) are NOT that much different than the super high-end stuff (like at Sephora...although Chanel is an expection..I'll give you that.) But price on Dove's chocolate seemed to double. Stuff like office supplies, etc. --prices are WAY higher than Rite Aid. The corporate execs at Walgreens will probably never read this review...but gotta say, IF there were any other drugstore a bit closer, I'd never walk into a Walgreens again. BUT I do love the people who actually work there--(Holdovers from Rite Aid). My main complaint about Walgreens is the high prices--like on everything. Candy prices are ridiculous. Miss my Rite Aid in Seattle area where, under Washington State law, they sell wine and alcohol in the back of the store (and good brands too...) This place is an awful Walgreens! Went today to pick up my prescriptions and the pharmacy was closed cause no pharmacist showed up. Your associates are incredibly lazy. The shelves in aisles are blocked by unpacked product. The pharmacists when they do show up are rude. I'm moving my business to cvs. Do better! read more

Worst pharmacy ever. Since moving to the Shipyard, I've had three prescriptions filled, two for my daughter and one for myself. And they have somehow to mess up, not able to find the script or some other creative way of messing EVERY TIME. I do not leave bad reviews for 1 bad service, but 3 times back to back AND when it involves medication that you need to literally stop PAIN AND ILLNESS you do not F around!!! The pharmacists there have zero customer service skills and don't give two cents about the health of the people eagerly anticipating the medication. The most recent blunder came after my dr called in the prescriptions, and them saying "they don't have it, have them call again." Fine, dr make mistakes, they are only human. So my dr calls it in again, and again they said they don't have it...I finally had to call my dr, put her on SPEAKERPHONE for my Dr to say "I am literally STARING at the prescription that was called in!" And woah, somehow they magically found my prescription! What a bunch of baffoons. I guess when you are the only pharmacy in a complex with thousands of residents, you don't have to care about customer service or health of the patients you are serving but people will still patronage you due to sheer proximity. Disappointing. But to be fair, only saving grace is they are open 24 hours so it's good for the random pedialyte or OTC medication when needed. read more

i do not know how 2 stars pop up but nake it clear. the two pharmacist are not for the patient's health or well being. if yountry to excercise your right to enlarge a complaint it will get you no where. they are all for their pharmacists. even with all the bad reviews this site shipyard lane has received. you have to hear the excuses the regional or district health coordinator gives. these two pharmacist screamed and yelled at two doctors with no regard for any consequences that could have affected my husband. after 7 years of dispensing medication they just to not feel comfortable with the quantity. now this is the best the district meditator claims there is more information now on these pain medications. bull the dea ,and insurance companies have been implemented guidelines and regulations for over 10 years. the state of new jersey does not protect its residents in this manner. when you abruptly stop an addicting medication you can have not only medical problems and mental anguish. that is why many run to the street for substitute drugs. it is the medical profession along definitely with dirty or personal issues that are causing this outbreak of mismanagement. walgreens should not be allowed to terminate a customer or patient without justification. please write your congressman and governor. Sorry for typos. Make it clear Walgreen is a horrible pharmacy with Mairin Beshae and Lavinka Romanvic have no right dispensing medication for 7 and 1/2 years and stop abruptly. Worst drugstore in Hoboken. Just moved uptown and I literally spend more time waiting in the line than I do finding the products I need. Every time I get on line there are at least 6-7 people in front of me and by the time I get to the register that's when they call for assistance! By the time I'm leaving there are at least 20 people on line. It's absurd. read more

Some of these reviews are hysterical. Obvious they are not from our town. Ive been going to this Rite Aid for many years and have seen how much the store has improved to meet customer demands. Yes, at times there is a line, but that has never bothered me. Ive visited any of the other pharmacies in the area and service pace is on track. What I have experienced on some of my visits are new customers with no manners nor respect. The employees there are welcoming and in many YEARS have not experienced anything to write a negative comment. Keep up the good work. read more

Worst pharmacy I've ever been to. The wait times are ridiculous and the staff is rude. Today my doctor called in a Rx at 11AM. I waited until 1PM, then called the pharmacy, they said 15 more minutes. After not getting a text I went to the pharmacy at 2PM and they had not even started filling my Rx yet, then gave me attitude. It should not take 3 hours to fill a bottle full of pills. I have similar issues of several occasions with this store. It's so bad I'm switching to the CVS pharmacy, even though it's farther away. read more

DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY. DANGER. This rite aid pharmacy Department is an absolute disgrace. Not because they are short staffed. They are over staffed with incompetent employees, each one lazier than the next. I find it unbelievable anyone hired any of them. I left HUMC after an emergency heart problem. I was written a prescription which was time sensitive. I brought my prescription to this rite aid and after waiting in line for 30 minutes to hand in the prescription, the pharmacist refused to fill my prescription, she claimed it was a fake. I attempted to provide my Doctors direct phone number for her to call the Doctor/Hospital and she told me she and her entire staff was too busy to call my Doctor or anyone else. I called my Doctor in the emergency room who was not too busy to call the pharmacist to verify my prescription. The pharmacist kept my Doctor on hold for 15 minutes while the pharmacy staff stood around doing nothing, and when the pharmacist got on the phone she became extremely annoyed. It appeared she simply just did not want to fill my prescription for me, even with the confirmation it was a valid prescription. She then made me wait another 30 minutes for the script to be filled. No apologies. Nothing. I was so upset. I needed to be rushed back to the Hospital with chest pains. This behavior was at least unprofessional and extremely dangerous. Don't allow incompetent, lazy, people play with your well being. Use any other pharmacy. Don't be their victim. read more
