Look, if Hair World is surviving the rent in Maxwell, Nashville, TN in the year of our Lord 2023, they have to be doing something right -- and had to have been doing it for quite some time because they've been at the location for a minute and we all know that rent isn't cheap. More power to them. As with all things in life, change is constant. The change I have been experiencing is with my hair- specifically, my hair texture/grade. As a young(er) man, I didn't value and take care of my really awesome hair. I didn't investigate proper care. I didn't care about products. I didn't educate myself on techniques to make it shine. I lucked into some good styles and let the very basics do the rest. Fast forward to now and those glory years are well behind me. I needed to invest in what the kids are calling 'protective care.' I set off to Hair World and found the people, products and advice I needed to enter into this new phase of hair care. Useful products. Helpful people. I will return (if needed).

I went to just exchange and was told I wasn't able to make an exchange or get my money back. THE CAN WASNT EVEN FULL. The manager was there and she felt the can was not even full. I asked her to call the owner and preceded to call him/her and she didn't tell that she felt the can herself and that it was not full only told the owner I felt myself it wasn't full. I felt because she originally said no she persuaded the owner, over the phone, it wasn't returnable or exchangeable. I only go to this store because they are the only store in the area for ethic hair or products and will not return. I will not be a returning customer for this store.

Only drawback was that when I visited, their system was down which meant no points could earned at point of sale (you had to call corporate with your receipt info to earn points) and the merchandise in stock could have been more abundant. Both lip oil shades I wanted (Dior in shade Cherry & Fenty in a similar Cherry shade) were both sold out (I even looked in the drawer for assurance). All in all, this location is a better one that I've visited in that it's easy to find and not placed in a huge indoor mall that requires a mile walk to get to!
