Ive been shopping here since moving to the area in 2006. It used to be a pretty good place. Then…read moreKroger took over. Its been downhill since. The prices are no longer competitive. Get to the deli and meat dept at least a hour before 8pm or you will be completely ignored because there shutting it down. Bring your own bags. theirs are the worst in the city. Full of holes and thin. it will tear open if you sneeze on them. I watched a lady lose a glass jar of pickles smashed onto the cement going out the door. I've lost complete bags of canned goods when I lift it off the checkout and into my cart..I make these light by the way. Canned sauces and vegetables rolling now dented across the floor. then I have to go back to the aisles to replace these dented cans that will not open. Check expiration dates on EVERYTHING...especially deli items. Look at what date is on that label the deli slaps on your egg or potato salad. Its a sale for a reason. Check those dates in the produce aisle!!! You may get home and find it use by the next day. Look at the meat for discoloring. Be extremely wary of the prewrapped lunchmeats they portion out ahead and put out in that middle aisle bunker. Look clearly at the color of the meat and date before you grab it. I will MAKE the associate dirty a clean slicer if I have to. They love me for that, LOL. I get quite the arguments and dirty looks. Plus, if the plastic wrap over any meat, chicken, mushrooms, salads or any prewrapped trays has ballooned up, do not buy it is spoiled. But keep that in mind it happens everywhere. It's happened at Piggly Wiggly and Festival Foods too but is never as prevalent. I find all kinds of expired, or about expire the next day especially on sale items. And yes, the bathrooms are stinky and dirty at Johnson St. Pioneers bathrooms seem cleaner. Always check that receipt before leaving the parking lot. What the tag says on the shelf won't always match your receipt. I know this can happen in any store, but it happens to me a lot more at Pick and Save. My BIGGEST GRIPE IS WITH THAT KROGER ITSELF. ZERO STARS FOR DISCONTUNING MAJOR BRANDS STILL IN THE MARKETPLACE TO FORCE BUYING ONLY THEIR BRANDS

i used the self-checkout and the lady watching even saw that I paid for my groceries. Go through…read morethe doors to leave and cart locks up. I was made to show my receipt and of course everything is paid for. Won't be shopping here anymore.
