I try to get my Suboxone refilled after midnight 3/10 because I have to wait 30 days, I called at 1:00 AM to be told I cannot get the Oder until 7:00 AM. The store on Gunbarrel Road is the absolute worse, especially the people in the pharmacy. They are so bad that I am changing pharmacies and see if a different one is any better. many times in the past I have gone by there and they are closed when they are supposed to be 24 hour pharmacy. Micky didnt give me any chit-chat or BS, but had a sense of humor that lightened up my day. Within seconds we had my issue resolved. I know a lot of pharmacies get crap and reasonably so sometimes, but CVS and Walgreens have been my go to. Unfrotunately CVS takes the cake for me due to all their staff being just like Mickey. Everyone has bad days (hence why we're going to the pharmacy lol, doesn't seem to stop) but when Micky took the time out of his day to do a though search and made me smile. This 5 star rating is NOT for the store. This is for the amazing associate who helped me and had to run back to the register to help everyone else when there was no one else around when I stopped in there around 8:15-8:20 tonight. Either he was the ONLY person in the store working or everyone else was just being too lazy to help. Either way this is not a good look for a store of any kind, let alone one as busy as this one was. If I could give a negative star rating I would. This pharmacy is ridiculous. Our doctors office called in a prescription. The tech lied and said they didn't have anything when our office called it in and gave us the specific time they left the voicemail. Our nurse practitioner had to call them and speak to them. When we came back through the drive thru the girl said she didn't have anything called in. We had to give specific details to her and then she checked the voicemail and it magically appeared. This has always been a problematic location. Too bad other locations in our area aren't open 24/7. read more

In a time of need Walgreens was there for me. My daughter woke up crying in the middle of the night from pain. Not knowing where to go get some pain relieve in the pandemic where everyone else is closed by 8-10 pm. I couldn't believe the online hours so I called to make sure they are open. To my surprise they were open 24 hours and they had kids Tylenol. What makes this visit even better is on the way out the pharmacist wished for my kids to to feel better without me even telling her anything about my daughter. WORST, let me repeat, WORST pharmacy ever. They obviously refuse to hire enough employees. Just stood in line at the pharmacy for 15 minutes with 8 other people behind me and only one person working the counter!! I mean seriously??!!! 5.3.16: Ok, round 2...I dropped off a prescription (foolish me) at 1PM today and was told there would be a 2 hour wait because there were "100 prescriptions ahead of mine" (???) Gee...didn't realize this was the ONLY pharmacy in Chattanooga?!?! Had not heard back by 7:20 this evening so I called...fast (??) forward 25 minutes of being ON HOLD... Finally spoke to someone who said, "you mean you didn't get a call about this prescription?" Well, duh...NO...that's why I decided to spend my evening holding on the phone! Seems that my insurance would not cover this prescription so they just kicked it to a corner somewhere and decided not to DO ANYTHING...like maybe contact me to see if I still wanted to have it filled. They seemed incredulous that I hadn't received a call, email or text about this!!! (But so was I!) I assured them that I still wanted it filled and amazingly, ON MY WAY TO PICK IT UP, received a text that my Rx was ready?!?! P. S. Is there anyway to give negative stars???? Having just moved to the area and living close to this Walgreens, we transferred all our prescriptions to this locations. The store itself is great and well lighted and clean. the Pharmacy is another problem. The service takes forever, the people working drive through barely speak English and the speaker system breaks and cracks. Luckily we are moving all our Medicine needs to the East Brainerd location! They aren't as busy and so far everyone speaks ENGLISH! read more

Incompetent pharmacist who can't even mix children's amoxicillin properly. She had 6 days of a 10 day dose. The pharmacist said well she got all the amoxicillin in she will be fine. You went to school to know how to mix it properly. apparently you missed that session. GUESS what now. She has to be on another antibiotic thats stronger. thats another bill and my daughters health. I normally wouldn't give 5 stars to a Walgreens, but this one is really exception in both service and selection, not to mention that they are open 24 hrs. There was a wait but it's a pharmacy and people have questions ( some people don't just take what a doctor prescribes with out being provided more information by a pharmacist because they are more educated on pharmaceutical drugs and understand why you are taking it and how it works). For the guy that complained about the wait time, walk your big butt inside like I do when there is a line and you won't be there so long, and as far as the English goes they do speak very clear spoken English, honestly to get through pharmacy school they had too. If you don't like culture then lock yourself up in the house and don't go anywhere. I called Walgreen's pharmacy and asked if they had the prescription in stock before I went there. I live in a rural area with 1 drug store that did not have my prescription in stock. The pharmacy tech that answered my call said yes they have it in stock. I drove 1 hour to get there. When i got there i gave my prescription to the girl in the drop off prescription area. She entered my information and said it would be about 20 min. I started to walk away and the pharmacist (black man with a foreign accent) called out my name and in front of everyone he said in a very condensending tone that he would not fill the prescription (written for 90 tablets) which I have been getting for 20 years. He said he could only fill 60 tablets. I said I have been getting this for over 20 years and have not had a problem. He said that he would not do it. I said, I called ahead of time and asked and the person on the phone told me that it could be filled. He said, you were given the wrong information. I told him I lived an hour away and that is why I called first. He was very rude and talked to me in front of many customers and staff. I was humiliated, upset and embarrassed. I said, ok then fill the 60 and i will talk to my Doctor about getting the other 30. I was walking around in the store shopping for about 20 minutes when my name was called to return to the pharmacy. The pharmacist (black man with a foreign accent) told me he would not be able to fill the 60 tablets until the next day. I asked why and he said he couldn't do it until next day. I said, there were 31 days in March and that today is the day I can get it filled. He said, no, you are wrong. I will not fill it today. You will have to come back tomorrow. I was so upset at the way i was treated by this man. I don't usually write reviews but I am because I don't want anyone to feel like I did yesterday. I would avoid this pharmacy no matter what! I got my prescription back and went down the road to the Walmart Pharmacy and was treated very nice. They filled the 90 tablets, I waited for 20 minutes and got my prescription and left. There was no reason for the Walgreen's Pharmacist to treat me that way! He was abusing his authority and should be fired for treating me that way! read more

Today we sat in the slowest drive thru in chattanooga location of walgreens ever. They are always slow as ever!!!!!!! This happens ever time we go there. So today was no different, and we waited thirty mins then it was our turn for the girl in the drive thru to tell us my husbands med wasnt ready they had to comtact the doct. So it was his blood pressure keep in mind....so he asked for one pill for tomorrow until tbe doct could be contacted. So the genius in the drive thru said we wud have to come in and speak to the pharmacists, after we had already been waiting so long. So we did....and as we came in the girl stated that she didnt say that to us......that she said to pull back around at the end of the line to wait another 30 mins.....uh NO!!!!! So now she has pissed my husband off because not only can she not wait on two people at one time, but now she is calling him a lier. Why wud she do that first off???? Even if he was mistaken since when do peope in customer service positions start arguing with the customers? The gunbarrel pharmacy at walgreens is terrible. It takes a lot for me to go online and wrote a review- I either have to have stellar service at a business or horrible service for it to justify the effort, and this time I must say that this walgreens has consistently provided an awful experience every time I have ever gone in. Today was the icing on the cake as they gave me and my husband a 30 minute run-around at the pharmacy just trying to pick up a z pack. They were rude, hard to understand and talk to, and after a solid half hour of arguing with us about what address in the system, they then proceeded to say oh Nevermind we don't cover your insurance plan. Previous times I have gone into this particular store, I have heard employees openly bad-mouthing their job and cussing out each other behind their backs and being extremely unprofessional and tacky. No one in there has ever been friendly when I've gone in, and no one ever seems like they are happy to be at their job.
