When I made the appointment, I asked if she was experienced with ethnic hair. I was told yes, she was trained in textured hair. Once at the salon, daughter in the chair, I asked KellyAnn how much experience she has with this type of hair while holding my daughter's long hair. She looked at me and said "I am VERY experienced." I thought great and continued to discuss what we were looking for in a haircut. I wanted her ends cut off (cut was to go from middle of the back to middle of the shoulder blades). The horror begins...I am waiting in the sitting area for 2.5 HOURS! Remember, IT"S ONLY A CUT/TRIM!!! I finally take peek and notice my daughter under the dryer with 2-strand twists. (KellyAnn was trying to make her curls come in.) Once done, my daughter comes from around the corner, hair is now shoulder length. My initial thought was "okay, shorter than we discussed" I was not impressed. I asked if layers were put in because I could see different lengths. Couldn't really gauge the cut because the 2-strand twists made everything lay different. Once home and daughters hair washed I could truly see the cut, her hair was completely JACKED up!!! OMG!! HORRENDOUS! I sent an email and the owner responded with an apology and he told me he would look into it the next day and get back to me. That was 4 days ago and I still haven't heard back. I even sent a second email requesting a refund for the srvice...no response. I had a great experience with one of their stylists on my curly hair, Tennille. But, I would not recommend KellyAnn for "textured hair". My daughter's hair looks like an overgrown mullet. Her hair has 2 distinct levels opposed layers. The salon owner apologized but without following up on his initial email, I have determined that customer satisfaction is not his priority being he has not resolved this complaint. I requested a refund for service and tip $44.85 ...crickets. I would not recommend this salon based on my experience there. The receptionist was pleasant and explained the service. The v-steam takes 40 minutes total so you will need to add on time to change your clothes. You are given a floor length gown with disposable slippers. There are changing rooms, lockers, and bathrooms. After changing you are walked down into a steam lounge. Each lady has her own bench with curtain to close off her area. You are provided with complimentary snacks, bottle water, and fan. You are able to adjust the preset settings if you need. The tech/rep came back after 20 mins and checked on me. After my treatment was complete she entered the room and helped me off the seat and we walked back to the locker area. I was impressed with the level of care and service. I was not rushed and the reps were not rude. I will definitely will be back next month for another treatment. Btw, they offer permanent makeup and lashe service for those who are interested. They have an area for parties and large groups. You are given a punch card which your 5th steam will be 50% off. Ps, they offer complimentary portable phone charges for your mobile device. Please be sure to ask the front desk.
