Stopped in this Walgreens today for the first time and had the best experience! Takwanda (I hope I have the spelling correct ) and Josh were amazing. They both made me feel welcome from the moment I stepped in the door to the moment I walked out. They're not my closest Walgreens but I'd definitely make the extra drive to have the same experience I had today. I'm a retail store manager and I'd hire Takwanda in a heartbeat if she walked into my store! read more

The hours on the website and when I call say it's open until 12am but I have gone to this store 2 times around 9pm-10pm and both before 12am right and it is CLOSED. Please make sure you update your hours and don't make people waste their time driving over to this Walgreens when it's not going to be open!!!! read more

The third time, I had to return this week to pick up medication at Walgreens on 123854 So Ashland, Calumet park , Il 60627. Each time something was missing. Each time I stood in a long line. The pharmacy technicians were slow and disorganized. It was comical to watch them looking for a prescription they just filled. They were probably exhausted. 13 people are standing in line waiting. They need to pass numbers out so ill people can sit in comfort without losing their turn. I can see it if this occasionally occurred, but this is the norm for operation. The most discouraging part is that people wait in a single orderly file waiting and waiting for their turn. More depressing is the lack of concern from Walgreens to improve the process. You would think that it would be too easy to assign more staff to work during peak periods. read more

Shell was very helping in locating my package. Kim was called to assist because she couldn't locate the package. As soon as Kim got there she immediately stated "idk, well maybe it got sent back" without even looking. How could it have been sent back if it was just delivered and FedEx stated it was delivered. Shell searched high and low and apologized for the inconvenience. Kim was bent on sending me out of the store without my package. The package was right there all along. read more

I am in awl that this Walgreen on 12854 S. Ashland Ave, calumet park, IL 60627 allow people to come in to the store and buy or purchase items without wearing a mask. A mask is mandatory and you should be fined when you do not follow this requirement. This is required by law or rules to wear a mask. "EVERYONE" read more

The pharmacy is horrible. The lines are always more than 4 people inside and the drive up is at least three cars. I put my orders in online and go to pick it up after receiving a phone call and they don't have it ready. Today they didn't have a price for a prescription that I have had for years, so they couldn't see it. The attitude of the cashiers is not friendly. This area needs another pharmacy to give them competition. I am changing to CVS or Jewel. read more

I have never been to a Walgreens where it takes sooooo long to get your prescription. Most of the time they don't have enough staff working. I went there on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 1:30pm and the pharmacy was closed because they had no pharmacist on duty. Seriously?? On the busiest day of the weekend and you cannot get your prescription filled or picked up because no pharmacist showed up for work. Its quite laughable and ridiculous all at the same time. I don't really want to go to CVS pharmacy but the Calumet Park Walgreens is going to force me to switch pharmacy's. I just don't understand why they manage this Walgreens in this manner. This is absolutely the worst pharmacy ever!! After almost two weeks of miscommunication between my doctors office and the pharmacy I took in hard copies of my prescriptions. I took the prescriptions in at 2pm and they still weren't ready the next morning. The staff is slow as molasses and there is always a long wait. read more

I have a hard time finding my medication at pharmacies. I have been fighting testicular cancer for the last two years. I just finished high dose chemotherapy and stem cell transplant in July 2015, ever since then I've had severe neuropathy. I called CVS Pharmacy in Calumet City and spoke with Kasia to see if they had my pain medication because I only had one night dose left and no morning dose. When I spoke with Kasia she let me know that they did have my medication in stock, I was excited because I didn't think I would find it on a Saturday since I have a hard time locating a pharmacy that has it in stock. Kasia notified me that she WOULD NOT give me both of my medications even though I had the prescriptions for both. That was going to be my first time having a prescription filled at a CVS Pharmacy luckily I called Walgreens and spoke to a nice young lady name Destiny, in the pharmacy department that told me she did have both of my medications in stock and that it wouldn't be any problem to fill my prescriptions.
