I moved back to Butte recently. I transferred prescriptions to Walgreens in Butte from Helena at the same time. I guess I expected a similar experience here as in Helena. I was wrong in my expectations.
Butte has flubbed prescriptions in one way or another every time I've called in a re-fill or a new prescription is called in.
My last experience was also the last straw. I called in 4 refills. One was expired, so they contacted my Doctor - which is fine. However, there was a miscommunication about doseage so it was incorrectly filled with the wrong dose. I called them as did the nurse in my Doctor's Office and they said the 100mg tabs had been returned to stock and the correct prescription of 200mg was filled and ready for pickup with two of the thre others. I checked the 4th and it was pending. The next day it was still pending, again the third day. I'd called a handful of times and each time told to hold on and the call was dropped after a long hold. When I did speak to a person he looked it up and said he had no idea. So, I went in and picked up three of the 4 and again asked what was the issue with the 4th? Again I was told my a tech, I don't Know, but it should be ready tomorrow. This exchange went on for days including twice when I was told sometimes the app doesn't update, it's probably ready. So, I went there, and - no scrip. Also, the medication that was initially filled at 100mg instead of 200,mg, then I was told the 100s had been returned to stock and the 200s were waiting for me were done incorrectly. The 200s were returned to stock, and they sold me the 100s. That hasn't been resolved. I'll just take 2 of the 100s until they're gone then fix it.
With the one pending and unfilled there was no resolution. I went to the app on the 8th day and transferred the pickup location to Helena Walgreens, and less than 30 minutes later received a notice it was ready to go. I selected the mail option for 3 bucks extra and had it the next day.
I can deal with lousy customer service, but receiving the wrong dose of medication and waiting over a week for a simple refill with no explanation is unacceptable. Always check labels and confirm you have the right meds and the right dose, because this pharmacy isn't checking.
This is a terrible pharmacy with a terrible pharmacy staff. I won't be going back. I hope others have better experiences. read more
