I had purchased sunglasses from Fowler's for years, till they stopped being a major supplier for a…read morewhile. But they appear to be back in the game again. We were right on Lauren's Road, so I thought I'd stop in again, as I saw large Ray-Ban signs on the building. It seemed that I remembered Fowler's having good prices back in the day, but this time, they were actually more expensive than the Ray-Ban site. Ray-Ban had specials on their most popular sunglasses on their site for Labor Day. Fowler's had a discount case, but I didn't see any specials on their better supplies. They definitely have the great products, and they know their products, so if you're looking for convenience, Fowler's will be a good place to shop.

Apparently Fowler's has been around for quite some time. But I came in looking for Salonpas patches…read more, tissues (with lotion), and some benadryl. I would say almost half of the store is dedicated to sunglasses. The actual drugstore type products were very sparse, maybe 3 of each kind of item. It made me feel like trying to shop for drugstore goods at a gas station. They carried the Salonpas at about the same price as I am used to. The generic Benadryl was a nice surprise at about $3 for 100 capsules. But the disappointment came from the tissues. They only carried plain kleenex. No puffs, and no kleenex or puffs with lotion. I'm fighting a sinus infection so my nose is getting raw. But the good news is that there is a Walgreens right across the street where you can probably find what Fowlers doesn't carry. I'm going to admit, I didn't get any prescriptions filled there so I don't know if they are more affordable than the chain pharmacies.

They opened another lane however that took the bagger away from my lane. So the cashier had to not only ring up my groceries... But she also had to bag them. I stepped in and helped. Jan worked really really hard to get me out quickly however; waited five minutes for an override before she could even begin ringing up my groceries. The only manager on duty looked like he was working a western union transaction. I really think the management at this Publix needs to look at their staffing problem. Overall, I love this grocery store normally... I had a really bad experience and I am hoping this review will help remedy this problem.
