Waldviertel Pur - a celebration of music, food, drink, and the arts from the picturesque Waldviertel region of Austria - is this year (2016) for the first time taking place on the Rathausplatz instead of the Heldenplatz. Today's sunny weather was a perfect reason to head over to this fest to enjoy one of their fine wines - okay and Schnapps as well! - in addition to trying some of their tasty local food specialties. Two culinary items I was especially impressed with was the Karpfenkaviar (caviar from the carp fish) and the KürbisKäse (pumpkin cheese). All the while traditional music from the Waldviertel played.
