The person in the front of the store said I could look through his "scrap bin" if I wanted to. I found a piece of 1 3//4" diameter x 6' long aluminum tube that was bent, with holes in it. I also bought a 2" diameter x 3' long piece from the scrap bin. When he told me it was $48 cash, I expressed my concern about his scrap material price. He said aluminum prices were ridiculously high. I was in need of it so I bought it. Today I called a junk yard and inquired about the price of scrap aluminum. I bought 61 ounces (less than 2 lbs.) from O'Donnel for $48. Scrap prices are $1.10/lb. I understand that it was my choice to buy it, but I am warning anyone who might want to purchase anything from them how they are. I could have looked around more, but I needed it, and he took advantage of the situation. BEWARE!

We have used Con De for many years. We purchased several section of dock about 12 years ago and…read morethey are still pristine. We added a set of 5 stairs that have functioned perfectly. Recently we added a set of 7 stairs and flag pole with adapter. Again, they look and function great. Con De installs everything in the Spring and dismantles everything in the Fall. They stack and store on our property. Additionally, they service our pontoon hoist - cables, bunks, etc. it's as simple as messaging them with a description of the issue and they show up and take care of it. The office is super responsive to messages. The dock experts know what they're doing. Friendly. Responsive. Professional. Knowledgeable. Oh, and they coordinate with our boat people (Compton/Bullseye), which is so convenient. Very highly recommend.

It's also no secret that I do a lot of long-distance events. This past week, I did a 150-mile wheelchair ride for charity. As I wheeled into Rochester, Indiana I realized I'd gotten a flat tire because of the somewhat inconsistent surface along one part of the Nickel Plate Trail. Fortunately, I was at the end of my wheeling day and we began searching for a repair option. After a promising option fell through, we looked ahead to Goshen (my next city) and had Lincoln Avenue recommended to us. It's not uncommon for active wheelchair users to use bike shops for tire issues - while not every bike shop carries the right tires, it's generally accepted in the bike community. So, I had high hopes when I saw that Lincoln Avenue carried the Terra Trike (a recumbent bike). Lincoln Avenue absolutely delivered. They tend to prefer that wheelchair users contact them in advance to make sure they have the right parts, though they can also get them in a day or two when needed. I was fortunate that they had what I needed. We called in advance. We arrived. They worked on the wheelchair. They got me going and pretty much saved my charity ride or at least kept me from an undesired major delay. The staff was professional. The crew did the repair well and it held up for the rest of my ride and I was able to complete my event and return home safely. I always worry when I'm on the road in some of Indiana's smaller towns about a breakdown. It's great to know that there's an awesome bike shop like Lincoln Avenue in Northeastern Indiana. Goshen is a small college town and it's absolutely well-served by Lincoln Avenue. I was super happy and would easily return (hopefully for a non-emergency need!).

During Steelhead season it is often super crowded, (combat fishing) but the fishing can be amazing. It's not especially scenic as other reviewers have noted, but for Steelhead guys, it's a paved lot, lots of wadeable water, and lots of fish. Unfortunately, it isn't handicap accessible, however 1/2 mile East at Twin Branch Dam, there is adequate handicap accessible water. If you come to fish, which is why it was developed 5 stars all the way, (did I mention it's a paved lot with a port-o-john)? If your looking for a park to take the kids to blow off steam, consider Central Park, or Beutter Park.
