I have attended many courses at good old Wakey College over the years, both full and part time, and would give it a good solid three stars. The main campus certainly isn't too glamorous, but it does the job of housing a range of courses and students. The course range - certainly with regards to part-time and evening classes - sadly isn't quite as wide as it used to be, and the yearly prospectus is starting to look a little thin and threadbare. I remember when the part-time language classes offered a dizzying variety, giving the opportunity to polish up your vocabulary in anything from Punjabi to Polish. (Okay, I may exaggerate slightly). The non-career friendly courses were plentiful too - music, theatre, painting, dance, etc, etc. Those days are gone, we're all a lot more sensible and commercially minded now, and somehow a little sadder for it. read more
