That's why companies such as the Nashville Boat Club are so perfect for those of us who love to boat but prefer the almost valet-like services of a rental company. With locations on Percy Priest, Old Hickory, and Center Hill Lakes (as well as lakes around the country!) the Nashville Boat Club is a perfect way to experience boating without the hassle of boating, if you will. They have excellent and knowledgeable staff to help train you on all the different boats in their fleets (pontoons, ski boats, fishing boats...all different types) as well as the different membership packages they offer. There is a one-time membership fee (paid only once and then BOOM you're a member for life) and then a monthly payment each month for 12 months with the option to renew or take a hiatus at the end of each year (without losing membership). All in all the cost is still loads cheaper than actually purchasing your own boat. Still expensive, just not as bad. And they provide all the water sport toys you could want, such as skis, wakeboards, tubes...they have quite the setup here. No matter the time of year you can take out a boat, so long as you reserved it, from hot summer days to chilly winter afternoons. It's a really fantastic company staffed with great people willing to explain all the different options they offer to members. If you are looking to get into boating or are a seasoned water baby, this is a great place to look if you're not necessarily in the market to purchase your own boat. Upon arrival our shuttle driver helped take our food and drinks over to the pontoon where we met our driver for the pontoon for the few hours we were out. We drove to a side of the lake where it was extremely quiet and peaceful as we anchored down for a little bit and took out our donuts and other water devices. Our pontoon driver was awesome and interactive, taking professional photos for us and engaging in great conversation. People in TN sure are way more friendly than in other places! We got back to shore safely and overall had an incredible experience. Ain't nothing like a day on a lake! Would definitely recommend if you're in the area!

I've never driven a boat before, but after a quick lesson I was all set to take on Percy Priest lake. Driving was easy; forward, reverse and neutral. Kaboom, I'm officially a captain. The boat comfortably held four adults and four small children. It had Bluetooth speakers, a dining area and large canopy for hiding from the sun. We couldn't explore the whole lake, but the map we were given was huge and easy to navigate. We paid $400 for a seven hour weekday rental. Basically $100 per adult. I would totally do this again and might have to before the summer comes to close!

We were told we could not go out on the water due to the weather, so we asked about alternative dates. They would not let us book a holiday, refused to pay back the extra money we paid for the holiday we originally booked (MDW), and refused to answer the phone before it was all over. When asked for a refund, she yelled that I would have to dispute the charge on my credit card to get my money back. Truly the worst service I've ever received, ever. If you book with them, just hope everything goes perfectly and I can almost guarantee you'll still walk away saying how miserable the staff is here.

This was my first experience on the Duck River, and it was a great one! Higher Pursuits made…read morebooking online really easy, the pricing was fair, many different options as to what type of boat you wanted for the day, and offered updates on Facebook in regards to weather/closings for the day. The location was really easy to find, once we arrived we checked in and were offered some general information about what to do and the location of changing rooms/restrooms. We were also given instructions about the route we would be floating, the vast collection of mussels we may see, and information about other wildlife we may come across, and safteg information. The launch is a quick drive from the base location. The employees were all very friendly and helpful. They got us all set up and sent us on our way. The water was shallow, but still had some nice current in places. The Duck River was extremely peaceful, and not over crowded (the spacing out between groups from Higher Pursuits helped with that greatly). Getting picked up at the end, and knowing where to stop was also made to be a breeze. Higher Pursuits runs things like a well oiled machine and really has a great system going! Between the ease of everything, the peaceful kayaking location, and the friendly customer service I could not have asked for a better experience!
