There's no good class options or elective options and there's not even enough core classes for everyone there to take and they have to double it one year. The school is also a bit small, for being open for 20+ years you'd think they'd upgrade to a larger building considering there's classes with 30-40 people. This is a realistic review for parents planning to enroll their children here, if anything take them to a public school.

We like the small classroom size and the personal touch the teachers are able to give. We were looking for a school with a solid academic program that also focused on our children's social and emotional development. St. Timothy's checked all of our boxes. The absolute worst experience of my entire life. This school messed me up. My parents sent me here…read morebecause they wanted me to get into a good college. I only lasted a year and it was for sure the worst year of my life. I developed an anxiety disorder because of this school. Bullying was terrible and one friend of mine texted me years later saying he was so happy I made it out and he made it out too. Absolutely positively not worth the money. Every Tuesday is Chapel (at least when I was there) so the morning is shot. There's prayer before every class. My Latin teacher there told the class the end was near and we better repent. The best thing about the entire place was the Snack Shack (which I don't think is there anymore). There wasn't even a cafeteria just a gym we all ate in separated by a curtain. It is important to note that the instruction or quality of education at this school is not in anyway superior to the of public school. There is just more quantity. So much more quantity. My friends and I all had 8 hours of homework on a regular basis. Maybe less time should be spent on religious stuff and more on in class work so homework isn't piled on. The kids at this school are dangerous. I was assulted. Don't believe that just because it's private there are not drugs. There are more drugs at this school. I ended up going to public middle school and Sanderson high school. I felt the quality of education was the same, and it was free. I did well in public school and I got accepted into UNC Chapel Hill, UNC Greensboro, UNC Pembroke, and WCU. I am doing so much better now. This school was so bad my friend and I say if we made it through this we can make it through anything. Let me reiterate, worst experience of my entire life. Please please please do not send your children here if you care about their happiness or wellbeing. This school will drain it out of them and replace it with religious nonsense. This place is destructive.

We are so grateful to have found this amazing school. Debi is a phenomenal and very involved leader…read moreat this school and it shows. She's truly cares. She is often the first to be greeting families each day at the door and does SO much we could never even imagine behind the scenes too. Our child often comments about Debi and her involvement in their school day - I'm amazed by this. Additionally, all the teachers and staff here are extremely well qualified, understanding (they are all parents too), warm and truly enjoy being with kids. Our child entered preK for the first time in January and within weeks (if not days) had learned so much. She went from no school experience to confident on her way to learning all the expected preK skills and more! She was writing her name, making and identifying her letters, counting and identifying her numbers, and so much more. They made school so fun with tons of meaningful and themed art projects, creative play, experiments and lots more. They had opened an extra afternoon class and we got lucky to be able to join mid year. We were also lucky enough to have a fabulous teacher, Cynthia, with decades of experience... she made our child's first learning experience one that every parent dreams. Our expectations were completely surpassed. I love that they are so flexible with the number of days you attend as well. I wasn't ready to send my child more than 2 days to start (even though she was begging to go each day and couldn't stop talking about her amazing new school!) Within less than a day, the director Debi, every teacher, and all the staff knew my child's name and welcomed her with full hearts. Without a doubt and with great enthusiasm, would highly recommend this school to everyone.
