That relationship was effectively destroyed--not by my doctor--but by office management. I was dropped as a patient over a $30 balance tied to a work-injury insurance claim, not a routine bill. The handling of that claim raised serious concerns for me. The situation was managed administratively, without transparency, and in a way that felt more aligned with protecting outside interests than advocating for a long-term patient. My physician was not allowed to intervene, explain, or continue my care. It was made clear that business policy overrides medical judgment in this practice. Doctors here appear to have little autonomy and are unable to prioritize patient care when office management decides otherwise. What's especially troubling is the lack of accountability afterward. Communication stopped. Questions went unanswered. Responsibility was deflected. It felt less like a medical office and more like an operation focused on minimizing exposure rather than treating people. I want to be clear: my doctor was excellent. This review is not about the physicians, but about an administrative structure that undermines them and sacrifices patient trust. Long-term patients should be extremely cautious. If billing disputes, insurance claims, or workplace injuries are involved, understand that you may be treated as a liability rather than a human being.

The lack of consideration that is given to their patients in regards to their time and staying on schedule is unacceptable. Yes, it can happen, however religiously for the past two years every appointment has not been on time. Not just by a few minutes, I'm talking by hours. Appointments are given for a reason, one of which is respect, respect of patients time. There is much time and planning that goes into making an appointment, and for such total disregard is infuriating. In addition to their policy of no refills in between visits or their is a charge. Have you ever heard of such a thing? I'm not asking for a "new" or different prescription but please be sure the medicines that I'm on get me to my next scheduled visit. It is not rocket science. Fun fact about their billing as well, that they do not code a once a year visit ( that insurance covers). They state that visit needs to be separate and you cannot discuss any current conditions you have, it's more or less a physical. However, my insurance covers one "wellness" visit a year. This doctors office will not code this correctly!!! And then there is the overall customer service, which truly should be the easiest to excel in. You would think? Whether it is the front office staff or the apathetic billing/ scheduling clerk to the intake nurse, there are never any pleasantries exchanged. It's just like being a number. And let's not forget the fact that you can never speak to anyone on the phone. The only option is to leave a voicemail and await a call back. So, yes I am exploring other options to change doctors offices. I have had enough abuse as a patient and have reached my boiling point. I do NOT recommend this practice, as you would get better service, respect and consideration at a walk in clinic.

I've been waiting to find the right words for this review. I wanted to see a primary care physician…read morefor just a general check up because it had been so long. It took me 2 months to get an appointment day because they were backed up. I had tried many offices but this one has the soonest availability. Initially I was surprised they sent letters out telling people not to wear perfumes or colognes due to other people's reactions to it which was fine. I was not greeted when I entered the building, I was just stared at which was fine. I got to the desk and it was a smooth process. Within a few moments I was called back and put in a room behind the nurses desk. Through the door I could hear the employees talking about the Katy Perry's I kissed a girl song and how she just wanted attention and it was a phase, after that they proceeded to talk about a person who is transgender and how it was crazy. Which I thought was very unprofessional and I just knew this wasn't the place to get a check up. Once the doctor, Michael R Kunel, MD came in he read over my paperwork. He asked me my family history and updated the information I had filled out in his computer. Right after that he proceeded to talk to me about heart disease and how I was at first because I am American and how we eat. I was offended because he was also American and had no clue how I ate. He proceeded to tell me how I need to be shopping and that I need to stop buying junk and feed my body right. At this point I was blown away that he was spitting out assumptions. I told him some of my previous issues with my weight and how my body reacted differently when I ate bread and having 2 c sections my body was just never the same. At this point I'm crying because I've always had issues with how I see my stomach and was made fun of a lot of my life for my looks. This man never once asked if I was okay. Every time he typed in his computer he would say "clickity click click click" which was super annoying in my opinion. His phone also rang during the visit and he pulled it out stared at it while it rang 2 times and then put it back in his pocket. As he continued my check up he told me I need to continue to watch my what I feed my body now or I'll end up taking medicine later and not be able to do the things I want with my children. I told him about some of the diets I had been on keto, military diet , etc and he said the keto foods are jokes and just as bad. He said the scale here says your weight is this, I'm not sure what yours says at home but it's this. Which was rude. Note my weights fluctuated all my life. I eat pretty healthy except for the traditional pizza night on Saturday's but it's usually a healthier alternative. But he just made assumptions on my life and assumed rather than letting me speak. After he did all the talking, he checked my back, breathing and eyes and then sent me down the hall for blood work. It was fast and I was still crying but she never asked if I was okay, she just kept saying which arm do you want me to use. Most times I've gotten blood drawn they picked. I came to this visit for a normal check up not to feel like trash. I would never recommend him or that office. This ruined my whole day when I just wanted a normal check up. Oh but wait, she doesn't listen anyway. She makes snap judgements and dispenses advice like she is the queen of the world. Can not get a word in edgewise to have a conversation or to explain, or heaven forbid, question her understanding of what you are there for. You are overweight and you are overweight and you are overweight! Is that the extent of her talent, the ability to determine by sight that someone could lose some weight? My husband has severe sleep apnea, has had is since he was a teenager and underweight, our son has all the same symptoms, so he went for a referral to have a sleep study done. He is 6'4", 23 years old....she took one look at him and said you don't have sleep apnea, you are overweight! WHAT KIND OF DR DOES THAT??? Oh wait, she's not a Dr. Maybe she has Doctor envy? Who knows what her issue is. Could he drop 30 pounds? Absolutely. Is that the reason for his apnea? We won't know til he has a sleep study, but I guarantee....that a sleep study is warranted.
