We had another great boaring experience with both Polo the pup and Lemmy the cat here this weekend!…read moreBoth pets got the deluxe accommodations, with Polo getting the video camera we could access from an app. However, they have a new app and it is glitchy and never could connect despite sweet Ashley working with me on the phone for nearly 30 minutes. Shr was kind and patient with me. However it was disappointing not to get to check on Polo via an easy video app like previously. They can administer vaccines and Lemmy got his vaccines without a hitch apparantly. Both animals were happy and we were thrilled to pick them up on Sunday at 3:45. Typically you can get in fifteen minutes early on Saturday and Sunday for pickup. The staff were friendly and kind! I recommend West Madison Veterinary Clinic!!!

Same exact service, a checkup and routine vaccinations. From the beginning this place just kept trying to sell me on a bunch of tests that weren't needed for my perfectly healthy dog. X-rays "to see if maybe there's a growth somewhere." My return three weeks later for my dogs follow-up vaccine charged me an extra technician fee on top of the shot itself which I've never seen in 6 previous vets I've taken my dogs and cats over the last decade. On top of all this, they charged roughly 10% more than the other place in town for what seemed to me not as thorough a checkup.

I have had great experiences with Madison Veterinary Hospital. I took one of my cats, Minerva,…read morethere about 2 weeks after I adopted her because she seemed lethargic. Dr. Orr gave us a preliminary diagnosis of FIP, and their office worked with us and other specialists to confirm the diagnosis and manage the disease as best as possible. I took another cat, Molly, there for routine visits, and it looked like she had allergies to vaccines. Dr. Williams made sure to prevent reactions from her next round of vaccines, which went off without a hitch. Yesterday morning, one of my cats, Socks, vomited blood. We called and were able to get an appointment right away. Dr. Orr did surgery yesterday afternoon and Socks is home safe now. In every instance, their office has been very communicative; always willing to answer questions when I call and calling me with updates when they say they're going to. They have recommended other services when needed, including after hours emergency and specialists that have also been excellent. If I ask for am estimate, they provide one, and they have checked with me before performing any additional procedures. Their in house pet pharmacy is a great convenience and their prices for services are reasonable. In addition to the great care Dr. Orr and Dr. Williams have shown my cats, their front desk and vet tech staff have always been polite to me and loving to my cats. I feel like I can trust Madison Vet Hospital and would recommend them to anyone seeking care for their pets.

Thirty dollars a night for cat boarding and seventy dollars for a cat checkup is ridiculous! There should be a serious discount y for over twenty years of using their doctors and facility.

Our normal vet was closed for the holiday weekend and I found this place online and called on Friday afternoon. The wonderful woman who answered the phone listened to all of my (anxiety filled) questions and let me know they could get him in the following morning. She not only answered all of my questions (I had a bunch!) but she really helped calm me down and gave me warning signs to look for so I would know if I needed to take him in to the emergency vet overnight. When I took him in the whole staff was wonderful, figured out the issue (plus dealt with another skin related issue my puppy had), explained how much everything would cost and set him up with all the meds he needed and a follow up appointment. I am an over dog mom for sure and I couldn't have been happier with this place! Really fabulous experience!

DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE. I started taking my dog here as a puppy and things have truly gone…read moredownhill. There are much better vets in the area. I considered not writing this post but after talking to our new vet I decided I should. After being a regular long term client, Our last experience was more than horrific and truly showed the lack of care and consideration for my baby. He had a scheduled procedure early in the morning and they decided to push his procedure 7 hours without informing us or giving us the opportunity to bring him home and reschedule. When we called at his scheduled pick up time they informed us that he had been kenneled all day that they hadn't even started the procedure. Again over 7 hours with no communication. When I asked to speak to his doctor she was BEYOND rude and asked me "if I had a problem" not once did she apologize and acknowledge that they should've called and informed me. Her excuse for not seeing him at his scheduled time was because he was so behaved and calm so they saw other dogs first. So apparently well behaved dogs get no water all day (because you can't eat or drink before the procedure which we scheduled first thing in the morning) and kenneled and neglected. But others get prioritized with no communication to the parents. To this day after all the time and money spent at this vet there hasn't been an apology for the oversight, the lack of consideration, lack of professionalism or neglect on their part. Please find somewhere else for your pets they truly do not care at this facility.

I really like Companion. The vet is so nice, polite, and of course has a great "bed side manner"…read morewith our dogs. Getting in and out is really easy too. If you call in the morning and want to bring your dogs in that day it isn't a problem. They will make room for you. Recently I had a 9am appt and I was back in my car with my happy pup by 9:12. That's not always the standard because it certainly depends on what you're bringing your dog in for, but there's no 30 minute wait in the waiting room then another 30 minute wait in the back for the vet. They really seem to care about getting your pets healthy and happy as fast as possible. The place isn't quite as clean as vet places I've seen in the past, but they do see a lot of animals in and out everyday so it really doesn't bother me that much.

Outstanding Professional Help…read more We found Companion Animal Care about five years ago when my wife and I moved to Huntsville and needed various services for our senior King Charles Cavalier, Rex. Through a number of medical issues that Rex had over the years, Dr. David Alford and his caring staff were always attentive to Rex's (and our) needs and provided expert and empathetic care and advice that helped keep him safe and healthy. Then on April 3, 2024 Rex was severely mauled by a Doberman and his life hung in the balance. Dr. Rhonda Buxton, who was a recent addition to the Companion staff, immediately took charge of the situation. As Rex battled for his life, Dr. Buxton and the staff repeatedly worked on keeping him alive, comfortable, and stable in his recovery. When he took a turn for the worse and we made the difficult decision that it was time to lovingly say goodbye, Dr. Buxton helped ease him out of his pain. With my wife Nancy and I in attendance, we said our goodbyes to the little guy. Throughout the whole experience, the staff at Companion Animal Clinic was exceptionally empathetic and professional, making that period more bearable for Nancy and me. We can't recommend Companion Animal Care highly enough. Lee Hefner Nancy Wasson
