Our Via Canadian train stopped in Wainwright AB, almost on time at around 4 PM on Day 3 from Toronto to Vancouver. This was the last "get out and stretch" stop before Edmonton. Wainwright is a small town of about 6600 and is called the Buffalo Capital of Canada. I got off the train, while Gayle stayed on. Not only do I enjoy the fresh air (away from the smokers), but I like checking out the station architecture, even though the building itself was closed. read more
