The service staff are friendly, the breakfast is so-so & the other amenities are pretty good. The problems were there as well. The front desk is ALWAYS busy, so be prepared to wait for up to 10 minutes if you want to ask questions etc. The WiFi is pretty dang slow, so it can be painful if you want to watch something on Netflix. The first night I stayed there, I had forgotten my phone in the truck, so I set the alarm on the clock in the room to wake me instead. Lo and behold, the power went off during the night and reset the clock, so I was late to work. I was told it's a regular occurrence that the power goes out. Lovely. Then why the hell don't you have a generator so there isn't a power interruption to those of us that depend on alarm clocks? If I had known this sooner, I would have asked for a wake-up call. The place is decent, but I don't like being tardy for my job.

Staying in hotels with work often you can really tell the places that pay attention to the details when it comes to cleaning. The beds are comfortable and the staff have always been top notch to me. Any hotel breakfast is what it is. I've enjoyed it every time I've stopped to eat in the morning. The location is great, staff and rooms are great. What more could you want?

It is a cosy little motel situated just at the entrance to the town (or exit depending on which highway you are coming in from). They have twelve single rooms available and each room is tastefully decorated with an African motif due to fact the owners lived in South Africa for a time and fell in love with the country. Each room comes complete with a colour TV, microwave and bar fridge. The building is relatively new and kept in very good condition. Prices are very reasonable considering what comes with each. Unfortunately, they don't have any kitchenette units available. There is a small patio with a table and chairs AND a BBQ. There is a grocery store and a few restaurants within a half block. Wainwright is a small town of about 6600 and is called the Buffalo Capital of Canada. I got off the train, while Gayle stayed on. Not only do I enjoy the fresh air (away from the smokers), but I like checking out the station architecture, even though the building itself was closed.
