The service staff are friendly, the breakfast is so-so & the other amenities are pretty good. The problems were there as well. The front desk is ALWAYS busy, so be prepared to wait for up to 10 minutes if you want to ask questions etc. The WiFi is pretty dang slow, so it can be painful if you want to watch something on Netflix. The first night I stayed there, I had forgotten my phone in the truck, so I set the alarm on the clock in the room to wake me instead. Lo and behold, the power went off during the night and reset the clock, so I was late to work. I was told it's a regular occurrence that the power goes out. Lovely. Then why the hell don't you have a generator so there isn't a power interruption to those of us that depend on alarm clocks? If I had known this sooner, I would have asked for a wake-up call. The place is decent, but I don't like being tardy for my job.

I was anticipating just another motel but this was a much higher quality. The bedding is updated and super comfortable. The room was huge too, I had a full couch to lounge on while I watched the hockey game on the flat screen. Very impressed. Only giving four stars as there may be some communication issues between the night staff and morning front desk; I had asked for a late check out and the morning staff wasn't aware that the night staff had approved me for it. Regardless, that's quite a minor issue and I believe this is the best place to stay in Wainwright, I will be back again.
