Founded in 2004, Wainwright Orthodontics was built on a simple promise: to provide families across Sterling and the Sauk Valley with honest, high-quality orthodontic care in a welcoming, zero-pressure environment.
After serving six years in the National Guard and earning his orthodontic specialty degree from Howard University, Dr. Brandon Wainwright established a practice centered on genuine patient care rather than high-volume sales.
Over the past two decades, our practice has grown into a trusted community hub serving families in Sterling, Rock Falls, Dixon, and surrounding areas. We have stayed true to our roots by prioritizing "optimal timing"—recommending treatment only when it is genuinely right for each patient—and utilizing advanced digital impressions to keep visits comfortable, fast, and stress-free for busy families.

Dr. Brandon Wainwright is dedicated to providing honest, high-quality orthodontic care to families across Sterling, Rock Falls, Dixon, and the Sauk Valley with a personal, "no-ego" approach.
After serving 6 years in the National Guard and graduating from Augustana College, Dr. Wainwright earned his dental and orthodontic specialty degrees from Howard University in Washington, D.C. He returned to his local roots to establish his practice in 2004, bringing over 20 years of clinical experience to every patient he serves.
Dr. Wainwright specializes in customized treatment plans using self-ligating braces, clear ceramic braces, custom clear aligners, early interceptive care (starting at age 7), and airway orthodontics—always prioritizing optimal timing over sales pressure.
Outside the office, Dr. Wainwright enjoys camping, fishing, and biking with his wife and three children, working on automotive mechanics, and supporting local youth wrestling.
