The dining room was well kept and more spacious than one would think judging from the outside. There was an outdoor seating option on a side patio area as well that was not apparent from the front view. it was not crowded when I walked in as I was slightly on the early side for dinner. It got a bit busier while I was there. I was given a choice in where I wanted to sit and was attended to by my server in a reasonable amount of time. I had no complaints about the service as she was attentive in just the right proportion and the food was delivered with little delay. There were several combos on the menu. I chose a set that offered a 6-piece avocado roll, three pieces of sushi, three pieces of sashimi, six pieces of gyoza (which they called Japanese ravioli), rice, miso soup and a small salad. It was a little heavy and I could have easily split that much food with my wife had she been with me but I had not had lunch that day and was able to handle it by myself. The quality was very good and the price was quite fair at a little over 17 euros. I had a large bottle of Pellegrino and a coffee to finish. With all of that, my final bill was just over 24 euros. At the time, this was approximately $30 USD, which was a reasonably good deal. Overall, I was fairly happy with my meal at this place and would try it again given the opportunity.

We made a reservation a few days before Christmas and asked to be seated at the counter, as it is the tradition in Japan. The waitresses wear kimonos, and the entire staff is from Japan. Add the peaceful interior, we felt being transported to the country of the Rising Sun. The 7-course menu changes very frequently and features the best of the kaiseki cuisine. Highlight of the night was the 'wagyu beef' with miso, cooked on a magnolia leaf in front of you. Also, the apple-themed dessert was excellent and offered 4 different ways of cooking the fruit. They have slightly decreased their prices for dinner, and it is definitely worth the splurge.
