We're from Los Angeles where there is plenty of excellent sushi. I was shocked as to how fresh and delicious the sushi was at this restaurant which is located in a small, suburban town. My husband ordered the chirashi bowl, my 6 year old ordered the combo with a salmon/avocado roll and ebi fry while I ordered the sashimi bowl with salmon, tuna and, I believe, sea bream. Our food came with miso soup and a crunchy pickled salad made from a vegetable I can't quite put my finger on (maybe parsnip?) and those were wonderfully tasty. The sushi rice had the right amount of vinegar and sugar, the ebi fry was crunchy with tender, juicy shrimp, the amount and flavors of the salad and soup were the perfect amuse-bouche. The restaurant itself is cute with a unique ambiance, the owner is friendly and service was great. Recommend 10/10. read more
