Dubbed "a living urban canvas" by their website, "Wabash Arts Corridor (WAC)" is a collaboration between WAC & Columbia College. The heart of WAC is along Wabash from VanBuren to Roosevelt, bounded by State St. & Michigan Ave. The route I meandered today was not all WAC (indicated by * (text) * but I'll give you it, beginning at the Harold Washington Library. http://www.yelp.com/biz/chicago-public-library-harold-washington-library-center-chicago-2?hrid=HUA7pgURZSo644EwUOTwNQ&utm_source=oshare Upon leaving, use the State St exit and walk just south to Congress and head east then head south again on Wabash. Continue along Wabash and you'll notice artwork pops up on both sides of the street. When you reach Balbo, walk west (notice you're by a Chicago institution "Buddy Guy's Legends, new location - old spot is just down the street ) until you get to the S. Holden Ct. (under the track) and walk the alley. At the parking lot on your left -cut across and you'll see sunflowers and foliage fenced-in: The Papermaker's Garden http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-papermaker-makers-garden-chicago?hrid=8JbMsCdILfm7AqmjpMhE6g&utm_source=ishare (near corner of Wabash & 8th St. & the original spot of BGL.) There's more artwork as you proceed east on 8th St and you'll wind up where, *across Michigan Ave, you'll see the small (compared to Buckingham) fountain. From the fountain, you'll see the statue of Logan to the South. Pay him a visit and enjoy the info and the vista. Looking south, there currently is another colorful art installment.* I had a lunch date the other direction so had to take off back across Michigan at 9th but I caught a glimpse to the southwest of the birds mural and was lured for one final look. (I'd seen photos on other social media sites.) There are many more murals I didn't locate - preview the WAC website for detailed info about artist, location etc & walk your own route or just enjoy as a casual passerby.

There are a lot of interesting paintings, canvas and shops to visit in the south loop area. The best part is it's not crowded at all so you can take all the time you want to just walk around!

It was a delight to relax and learn about our beautiful moon. Lots of cool exhibits, some interactive and some hands on play for kids. If you or a family member have the slightest passion for space, this is 10/10.

There were a bunch of reviews saying how parts of exhibits were closed or in disrepair/not functioning. There were some things that were closed off, but generally our kids were able to interact with a lot of the museum. There was a fun space rover that you could actually sit in to steer and drive, which was hilarious. Other simulators allow you to actually control a robot rover as if you're in the station and exploring the terrain. They also have craft stations for a wide age range. It wasn't crazy crowded (which is great), it's small enough that you can see almost everything you want with just a morning trip, and make it back in time for naps or pick a secondary attraction without feeling rushed. I was pleasantly surprised with how much fun we had. Plus, it's probably the most affordable of all the museums, and I feel like we get our money's worth because we got to see everything at our own leisure. Go give the planetarium some love!

I wasn't sure what to expect, and it ended up being so much better than I imagined! All the people working were friendly, knew what they were doing, and helped us have the best experience we could have. I loved every part of it, and it was awesome tying in all the senses to color! The tasting one was so fun, I ended up guessing mine right! I think my husband and I had the most fun with the partner drawing activity, that's a keepsake for sure, haha! Other faves were the poem and balloon exhibit and of course, the ball pit. We came with our 6 year old nephew but I think the adults had more fun than he even did! It was fun to let loose and be a kid again. I was thankful for all the fun photo ops, it made it easier to get great pics without having our phones out the whole time. The only bummer was the ice cream. We paid $1 per person for it and it was just one tiny little ball with a wooden spoon, and I could taste the spoon more than the ice cream.
