We found that some carpenters thought the job too small and not worth them doing. Fortunately we were told about S.S. Carpentry and he was fantastic. Came to look at the job, saw what was needed to be done and priced if for us there and then. No hourly rate, just a straight cost. We knew where we were with him. He came the next day and was fab. Got on with the job quietly and generally pleasant all round. He has restored my faith in tradesman. I have no problem in recommending him to friends for work.

Stuart Macfarlane is very experienced in all kinds of home maintenance, especially plastering but he's also good at so many other things! He's the person you need to ring if you need wall or floor tiling done, or coving, fencing, painting and decorating, flat-pack assembly, laminate flooring - not to mention repairing our shed roof! He tackles all jobs, even small ones which most people aren't interested in, and he's quick and thorough too. We intend to call him again to do a few more jobs for us soon!

I found the electrician (Andrew) that worked with me to set up my lighting, very professional, worked quickly, with no problems at all. If you need any repairs doing they will deal with them straight away, my only complaint is that they don't like to spend TOO much money and will often repair rather than replace. Some of the accomodation they offer is very nice, they are constantly buliding new flats and houses. A good housing association to be with!
