W.B Samson was a wonderful find! W. B. Samson is a coffee shop that sells amazing pastries, good coffee, good sandwiches and pizzas. The decor was clean and spacious. I loved the marble tables. Also my mother and I loved the wall of plants near the pond. It was so peaceful. We were in the Oslo airport for a 4 hour layover and trying to find something to eat. A sign caught my eye: Voted best cinnamon bun by Yelp. So we ordered 2 cinnamon buns, a custard bun, 2 ham sandwiches (toasted), a latte, and a macchiato. The cinnamon buns were amazing! They are the best cinnamon buns that I've had. They were crunchy caramelized crust with sugar and cinnamon. The inside was soft and buttery. The custard coconut bun was ok. The ham sandwiches were good. The bread was toasted and crisp. It tasted so clean. The free water here was also amazing. It tasted like glacier water. The only water that I've tasted that was as good, was Icelandic water. Maybe everything tasted better because the water was so good. The coffee was solid. It was great find. I would definitely return to Oslo and visit another WB Samson for their cinnamon buns. read more

Walked by this place on my way to the gate at Gardermoen and I saw these amazing looking cinnamon buns, together with a sign saying "Voted best cinnamon bun in Gardermoen 2016 by Yelp". At that moment I just had to try it as well, as Yelpers know what they are talking about. And oh my God, the cinnamon bun did not dissapoint! This is probably the best cinnamon bun I've ever tasted! Fluffy all around, and with lightly melted sugar on the top as well as the bottom, making this a pure delight for the tastebuds. Now I know which place is gonna be mandatory on every future stop at Gardermoen. read more

As airport cafes go the new WB Samson in Gardermoen is in its own league. One of the reasons it scores so highly is the fact that there isn't loads of seating (try Pret-a-manger in Gatwick if you want a seat!!) instead one can relax in an open and stylish seating area with a choice of leather upholstered banquets and booths or classic Scandinavian designed chairs. The combination of brass and light grey marble creates a welcome respite from the usual trashy airport interiors. The first time I stopped here I enjoyed perhaps the best toasted sandwich I have ever eaten (outside of my own kitchen) together with a wonderful chilled German Weiss beer. This time it was Earl Grey tea and scones. Not the usual Twinings stuff but boutique tea of impeccable quality (and I know my tea). I've never had a scone with chocolate and raisins before (in England they tend to be plain and served with jam and cream) but, again, it was sensational. I am also reliably informed that their pizzas are excellent too. So, all things being relative, this airport cafe really deserves five stars and a very warm recommendation. read more

My daughter read about the hot chocolate here being "the best" from a prior review. She couldnt wait to get one while we waited for plane to board. It was so good, I went back and got one of my own after tasting hers! (And I dont tend to like hot chocolate). We found out one secret is that they use real chocolate (chips) instead of syrup. The result is a smooth, rich (but not sickeningly sweet) dark(ish) chocolate treat! Definitely recommend checking this place out! (The cinnamon rolls, croissants, and baguettes were also very good!) read more

Walked past this place in the Oslo airport on a layover. All of the desserts looked amazing and I couldn't decide, but the woman at the counter recommended the cinnamon buns because they were fresh out of the oven. They also had a "Best of Yelp" sign on them, so it seemed like a winner! Delicious and not too sweet, and they also had a great texture. Kind of wish I had grabbed another dessert for the plane ride! read more

I ordered a pizza, I didn't have high expectations since this being in the airport and it's not their specialty. But I was surely surprised when I took my first bite and it tasted amazing. Great selection of pastries, but it takes time to get what you ordered. My girlfriend and I went there on a quiet Sunday. It felt like the staff had little to no control over orders, despite having a few numbers of customers. I ordered two cortado and a slice of chocolate cake. They were good. We sat at the bar and had a pretty good view of the barista that made all of the customers' drinks. We noticed terrible hygiene. The barista did not wash his hands after handling critical items full of bacteria, such as the refrigerator sealing on the floor. The guy who took orders coughed on a baguette that was later on handed over to a customer. Immediately after, he continued as nothing happened without washing his hands. There were also boxes and packages standing all over the bar. Bad at cleaning the café and terrible hygiene, but a big plus for the amazing icing on the chocolate cake, - even though we had to remind them of what we ordered twice. read more
