The pharmacists and staff at this Walmart Pharmacy have been helpful, courteous, fill prescriptions…read morequickly, transfer scripts same day (if possible), search alternate ways of getting it when a medicine is unavailable through the usual source, advise you of discounts if the meds are not covered by your insurance (with the exception of one female staff who told my adult son, who has a tattoo, and wears his hair in short, neat, clean twists, that due to being uninsured he'd have to pay over $200 for the medicine to treat his wife's life threatening condition. Not having that much money, my husband, a conservatively dressed, short-haired man went to get the medicine. The same female staff member told him, "oh, she has no insurance? Let me find a discount card for you". The price was then less than $21.) It's a shame this one thorn might ruin the reputation of a good pharmacy.

The male pharmacist is trying way too hard to be some sort of crusader for what he believes is…read moreright, or he lacks the knowledge and insight to understand just how detrimental withholding medication to keep ones mental health in check is. Under law, and my doctors orders, I am allowed to have my medication, yet this pharmacist and his minions have made it so difficult for me to get my refills, that I have to jump through hoops and undergo immense stress every time. Instead of trusting anybody or giving the benefit of the doubt, he forcing me to go without a prescription that I have been in for years, and making me withdrawal for over a month because of a mistake that a doctor made, and now I pay the price of this with my deteriorating mental health. He is going to cause somebody to bring great harm to themselves by denying what is a legal and lawful prescription, and going out of his way to make my mental health worse than it ever has been. I hope this man gets fired before somebody hurts themselves because he denied them the medication they need to stay stable.

Calhan Store Two Stars -- One for Showing Up, One for My…read moreRestraint This really deserves one star, but I'm offering two: one for the faint hope my prescription might eventually be filled, and one for the patience it took not to mirror the energy I was given. Let's talk about Brittany -- the front counter assistant who consistently acts like customer service is a personal punishment. Every interaction feels like walking into a storm you didn't cause but are expected to apologize for. Her default expression could curdle milk, and her tone makes you feel like you've asked her to hand over a kidney rather than check on your medication. I came in recently to follow up on an inhaler requested two days ago. Brittany barely glanced at me before saying, "Can I help you?" -- the verbal equivalent of a slammed door. After giving my information, she told me they had nothing, then barked, "What are you looking for?" When I clarified, she flatly said a request was sent to my doctor. That was it. No follow-up, no compassion, no sense that she's aware she's speaking to a human being. I stayed calm, because I choose grace -- even when the person across the counter is handing out hostility like it's her signature fragrance. To management: this isn't just about slow prescriptions -- it's about the atmosphere created by the person meant to represent your business. Brittany doesn't just kill the vibe -- she embalms it. If customer care is the face of your pharmacy, you might want to consider a new mirror. Mic dropped. Prescription still pending.
