The new clinic is state of the art and the layout is efficient and high tech but still has a soft feel. I trust my healthcare needs to Dr. Johnson and will soon be sending my near adult daughter to keep the tradition going. Lakeland Premier is hands down the best OBGYN practice in the area.

I repeatedly expressed concerns during my annual visit, but they were dismissed. When my symptoms became unbearable, an ultrasound eventually revealed 8 ovarian cysts, including a dermoid cyst and a ruptured cyst leaking fluid throughout my body, even affecting the area around my heart. I was devastated to learn the severity of the situation, especially after years of discussing my fertility concerns and desire to become a mother. Over the following months and years, I attended frequent follow-up appointments, underwent repeated ultrasounds, paid significant out-of-pocket costs despite having insurance, and was prescribed different birth control medications in hopes of shrinking the cysts. Instead, the cysts continued to grow and my health worsened. I was referred to a fertility clinic, where doctors told me I did not need fertility treatment and that there appeared to have been a misunderstanding regarding my care. Eventually, after losing trust and continuing to get sicker, I sought a second opinion. In September 2024, another OB-GYN reviewed my records, stated the cysts were impossible to miss, and immediately scheduled surgery. This experience caused significant physical, emotional, and financial hardship. I continue to pray for healing and recovery. I am sharing my story because I believe patients deserve to be heard when they raise concerns about their health, and I hope my experience helps someone else advocate for themselves.
