Open all day, everyday, including Sundays and well into the night, the residents around the area avoid the problem of being ill without being able to pick up medication, which happens so often when pharmacies keep to normal opening and closing hours. In terms of over the counter drugs, they are well stocked with your Calpols, Day and Night Nurses, and anything else you could possible need for the mid-winter snivles, and the back room for prescribed medication, as well as shelves with your typical shampoos, and a Rimmel make up 'bit'. If you need anything after 7pm, there is a little sign on the door that asks you to ring the bell for further assistance, which is fair enough if they are open all the way 'till 11pm! The lady that served me was polite and friendly, and when I entred was helping out an elderly man with his prescription. I can't give this place higher praise, it really is there for the community, not just when it suits them!

Having just been to the…read moredentist this morning with a second horrendous infection in my wisdom tooth and surrounding face I had to nip by a pharmacy to pick up my second course of antibiotics from a pharmacy. Given that the first time I picked up my prescription from somewhere near the emergency dentist I realised that I didn't really know where to go. Suddenly I remembered! The Lloyds is almost a stone's throw away from where I live! Having gotten off the bus I walked around and into Lloyds. Immediately a friendly sales assistant offered me some help, to which I gave her my prescription. I paid and she said to take a seat whilst they got it ready. I sat down and within about four minutes had my prescription ready to take away! Very happy. Glancing about the shop revealed that they are a pretty well stocked pharmacy, with all the standard meds, body health kits, body fat scales and more that one might ever need. There are a lot of medicines in the 'supervised' purchase cabinets though, so be aware that you may have to ask. All good! Now, hopefully my face should start to recede. Hopefully ...

As well as the Pharmacy that you find in every Boots store, there is also an Optician and Hearing Care facility. Prices are competitive, other than the food/drink section, which I always find to be rather expensive at Boots compared to rival chains, as they rarely seem to have any offers in that section, combined with higher prices before promotional offers even come into play too. The selection is reasonable, the staff were friendly enough and this is a good Boots location overall that I would return to on future visits to York. 4*

We went to this Boots Pharmacy today ("pharmacy" being a huge understatement, as the store is large and it's very much like an American chain store) and bought the item we needed. The man who rang up our purchase (in the pharmacy section) was SUPER-friendly and we had a delightful conversation with him. Situated along the main strip of shops on Roundhay road, just before that awful junction and traffic lights section, it is easy to find and really handy. They sell a number of useful products, cold and flu medicines, shampoos, bath items, plasters, skin creams and all of the usual items that you would expect to find in a pharmacy. The staff also seem pretty helpful. We've all got those niggling questions that aren't quite big enough to warrant a doctor's appointment, so in this event, just nip in and ask - that's what they're there for! Although I love big branch pharmacies such as boots because of the huge range of make up and bath bubbles, I really appreciate the speed at which this place gets you your medication. When you are feeling ill the last thing you want to do is to wait 15 minutes for the pharmacist to get you the drugs that are fingers crossed going to make you feel better again. This place is a little rescue from having to cue for ages and it's well stocked with treatments you don't need to see your doctor for. For such a small place they have an impressive amount, from make-up to protein shakes, splints and slings to all you need for the colds and flu viruses that tend to make their rounds this time of year.

The store appeared to be fairly presentable, it appears to have had a slight refurb to fit into the refurbished part of Leeds Station very well. Prices were a little high on the to-go food and drink, selection and pricing is better at other outlets inside the station including WHSmith and Sainsbury's. The staff seemed friendly enough. 4* - The store is good, mainly for convenience and the midnight pharmacy.

I thankfully don't get ill that often, but whenever I do, this place is a staple, whether the doctor has ordered it or not. If you're just after something standard like cough sweets and flu drinks, they've got that in abundance, and they also have an ever expanding supply of no-smoking paraphernalia, but it's the quick service (compared to other chemists I've visited) when they're bringing your prescription from the back that impresses me most about this place. Yes, it's smaller than other chemists so perhaps it should be quicker, but they bring your pills to you within a couple of minutes even every time. Splendid speed.

Being an asthmatic, they were able to give me helpful information about which remedies I could and couldn't use. Stocked to the brim with cold and flu sweets, remedies and headache pills, this place is a quick stop shop whenever you feel a dreaded ache or pain or illness coming in. The prices are the same as you'd expect from a Lloyds pharmacy and they offer a prescription service too.

Its pretty small but sells many things - shampoo, deodorant, vitamin supplements and any over the counter medicine. I have picked up many a prescription from here after visiting the doctors and never had to wait too long. They have a pile of those forms that students or people on a low income can fill in to apply for free prescriptions, something most students don't know they are eligible for.

It's a little embarrassing, and certainly becoming rather immobilizing, but since I fell over in…read morethe ice and snow I've had a recurring pain (which can be pretty sharp at times) in my posterior. I think it was from practically doing the splits one day on the ice, which caused me to seriously pull/bruise the muscle. Anyway, having done this I now seem incapable of walking for longer than an hour without really needing to sit down! I feel like an eighty year old. So I was walking about Crossgates, and the pain began to flair up. So, I decided to nip into the pharmacy and ask for some advice. I made my way to the counter and asked the lady's opinion on painkillers. I think she noted the obvious distress and so advised me to purchase the higher strength ibuprofen, but not before sternly telling me to see a doctor *and* practically making me promise not to take one of the painkillers until I'd had something to eat! It was really really sweet, and I really appreciated it. She also advised that I could only take 3 a day, one every four hours, so there was no way I could take the incorrect dosage unless I was a total plank. As far as the pharmacy goes, they had plenty of useful medicines and products on offer, despite being a bit of a dinky store. There are seats to sit and wait for your prescription, which were looking rather tempting to me at this point, and the other staff also seemed to be friendly! For the kind advice and great service, I was really pleased. Happy customer!
