Another fun foodie destination in TJ: outdoors, hip decor, and with a variety of food/drink options…read morespanning classic tacos through mediterranean food. The day was just beginning, so I opted for an 8oz lager from Insurgente to start the day. Service from the bar was friendly - the bartender provided multiple tasters and recommendations. This crisp and refreshing definitely hit the spot for under $2. My friend had a trio of tacos and sangria. The food was fairly priced, came out quickly, and tasty (I tried a bite). Definitely an option to keep in mind for group dining. Looking forward to returning to try out more!

I hate to say it, but this food court was quite a disappointment. I was looking for a place that…read morespecializes in chilaquiles, a vast variety of them, but found the Yelp page to be unaware of that location's closing. So, short on time, we opted to eat from one of the other food stalls, and found one with, you guessed it, a few varieties of chilaquiles. They did look wonderful on the plate, and were seemingly perfectly executed, complete with sunny egg and nicely coated chips. The one with shredded beef had very tasty beef, but suffered, as did the house special variety, from a lack of flavor overall. Both dishes were just quite bland in the same way, and lacked any excitement of flavors. We didn't finish them, and opted not to take the leftovers. Beverages: I ordered a mezcalita, having had an excellent one at Telefonico a couple of weeks prior, and hoping to have something similar. Instead of a smaller cocktail with a kick, this was extremely watery and had a commercial taste to it. I didn't finish this either. I only had food from one of the places, so can't judge the rest, but I don't see myself going back. Bland food from one and a miserable drink from another don't suggest good odds.

Humo Charcutería - The outdoor dining area is pleasant, and shared by several vendors.

Would grade these gourmet dogs as the best overall that I've ever had and come at excellent value too! Stopped by most recently this past weekend while on vacation in the San Diego area. Humo is probably the most popular of the food trucks at Telefonica Gastro Park, primarily due to the tasty hot dogs! I almost always get the bacon dog but the pulled pork dog is excellent as well. The bacon hot dog comes loaded with bacon and other tasty seasonings. They also give you a complimentary side of corn flavored with cheese and another seasoning. I'm personally not big on corn but even I would have to admit it was super delicious with the seasoning. The entire plate comes out to only 90 pesos (around $4.50) which is obviously an excellent price for a meal. The dog is fairly filling - I was good after just one but many can probably eat two with no problem. The hot dog comes on what I think is a thicker, ciabatta bread. I think the bread is fine, though wouldn't consider it great... it's the meat and seasoning of the dog that stand out for me. They have a couple other hot dog types as well (besides bacon and pulled pork), but not being a Spanish speaker I couldn't interpret - you'd have to check the menu. They seem to always have at least one staff fluent in English who can help you through the selections. IMO, this spot is a must visit for any foodie/meat lover visiting TJ!

BBQ with a Mexican twist!…read more Humo is a stick to your ribs kind of food. Heavy, but filling. It's located inside the Telefónica food hall on the right hand side in the outdoor patio area. I went with a pork bratwurst style sausage with pulled pork on top. Double the oink power! I don't really need to explain this dish. Pork sausage, pickled veggies, cojita cheese, corn, and then pulled pork. All of this heaven inside a pillowy soft bun. Hubba hubba! The food came out fast and it was delish. Telefónica can be overwhelming as far as food options go. So if this is your first time here, Humo is a solid option and won't disappoint! Party on!
