I got a pedicure with gel polish. My pedicure was rushed. It sucked. First and last time coming here.

I went there first thing in the morning to beat the rush and was told I could not be helped because I did not have an appointment ( I was there before they opened)... 3 of my coworkers who are all Caucasian go there and informed me they have NEVER made an appointment there ever.. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and went back 3 weeks later to a salon that had 2 people getting a pedicure and was told again I needed an appointment but this time it was because they were too busy. Went to vyvy without an appt. they were able to squeeze me in. Got a pedi and a fill-in. Asked to do the tips white and was told the tips I had on it was enough. I knew within a week it would have grown out and I was right. They rushed through both very fast and the fillin was messy looking. I recently got a pedicure and a manicure with American tips. I usually do not do my nails but I wanted to give this a trial run for my upcoming wedding. They did a great job and he did educate me on how to prolong my American tip nails since I am new to this. I have had multiple compliments because they are not to over the top. He listened to me as I work in the health field and made them short where they would not interfere with my job and providing patient care. When I moved here from Gville I had a hard time finding a nail salon I liked. I started going to one (won't name) and it was ok. Nothing great. Today I decided to give VyVy nails a shot and I loved them!! The were very meticulous and the foot massage was great. I had some pain in a toe from nail and they fixed the situation and I walked out feeling great and being able to walk. I only had a pedi but was very pleased with the job. Have frequented here 5-6 times in past 2 years, great SNS gel nails by Kelly, dremel & acetone soakings done for removal of gels, many salons do this, convenient location, no wait, TV's tuned to home remodeling shows, in&out with no problems. Regular mani/pedi's also gotten with no problems, but prefer gel strengths, gels last a good 4 weeks. read more

Was visiting Greenwood recently and walked in at noon to make an appointment for later in the day. Was told that they didn't take appointments. So I said that I would come back around 3:00. Then was told, "no, we're booked." What??? You don't take appointments!!! So rude and I'll never go there again when I'm visiting. read more

The minute we walked in wasn't not a customer in sight so we figured dey would take there time. They did a rush job. Lady didn't bother to adk me what I needed done for one. She clipped sum of my skin off that caused it to have a burning sensation. She barely scrubbed my feet with the stone. I had a callous under my foot n she looked at it n did nothing. She did a terrible job. My feet looked horrible afterwards. I went there with my feet already lookn fine n came out worse. No type of oil or lotion was used period. My feet was very very ashy n crusty looking. Then the man snatched the tissue off after putting my flipflops back on. Which should've been put on b4 my nails was polished. I never had a bad experience like this b4. Then to be charged $25 for poor work. I wouldn't recommend anyone I know to go there. N Now I still have to do my feet again. Wasted time n wasted money. it was terrible my nails started coming off when i was folding clothes and putting them up and i never hit my nail and it didnt get hooked on anything they are so thin i had a j on my nail and it looked terrible. they do bad jobs and make you paid way over the price of money 45-55 dollars for a full set and they come off the next day is not worth it. they suck. never will go there again. read more

This has been my 3rd visit and it has been a wonderful experience. I have not had to wait more than a few minutes and the technicians are pleasant. I have had a pink and white fill and two regular fills and they have all worn well for three weeks. The price is good and I highly recommend this salon. read more

I walked in to VyVy nails and was pleasantly surprised by the nice salon and atmosphere. I was however extremely displeased woith the service . I get shellac gel nails all of the time and this is by far the worst job I've seen. I paid for a gel manicure and the technician didn't give me a manicure at all. I don't know if this was due to incompetence, laziness, or ignorance but wen you pay for manicure you are supposed to soak the fingers, fix up the cuticles, lotion, etc. Instead, she simply caked on the shellac. It is so thick looking, doesn't cover the whole nail, and doesn't even shine. DON'T GO TO THIS SALON, I am so bummed I paid $25 for this (a normal salon charges $18 for shellac polish /no manicure). This is one of the best nail places around! The establishment is extremely clean, and the proprietors are spot on when it comes to pleasing their customers. I was in Greenwood on a Sunday and wanted a pedicure. A quick check of Google told me that all of the nail salons were closed. I stopped by Vy Vy Nail just to check it out, and although the sign said closed, they were in there cleaning. They were very accommodating about giving me one of the best pedicures ever! They were extremely friendly and efficient! Awesome place! read more

I absolutely love VyVy! They are super friendly and try to fit you in even though they stay busy. If you want great looking dipped nails this is the only place in Greenwood that will do a fabulous job! You may have to wait a while for them to get to you, but your nails will look fabulous!!! I went to VyVy's for the first time today to get my acrylic nails filled in, and reshaped to a coffin shape. Thinking it would be like $20, he told me he would have to remove all of my nails and it would be $40. Then I told him I need them short, and he said they would have to be longer than my grown out nails already are, to which I showed him a picture of short coffin nails and he still said no. I was specifically told to get my acrylics soaked off, because they are already damaging to the nail. The man clips the edges of my nails and begins to PRY off my nails with his own fingernails. This didn't feel too good. He got to my middle finger and I told him it hurt and asked if we could soak them. He said no, that takes too long. At this point I am fed up and I got up to leave. The other man working asks if I want him to do it, because he knows what he's doing. I said no and walked out. Worst experience I have had at ANY nail salon, and never returning. Being from out of town, I just needed to find something close to my hotel that was easy to find. I walked in on a Friday at 4:30 and only waited a couple of minutes before being seated. They have a great selection of polish colors. I had the mani and spa pedi. Leaving with a very nice manicure, I managed to massacre a couple of nails trying to get my seat belt on -pretty typical for me. I went back in and they were very sweet about fixing the damage and put one more color and top coat on all the nails so they matched. When I left a tip for fixing my mess, they told me it wasn't necessary. When I am back in town again, I will be sure to visit VyVy nails! I may walk to avoid the whole seat belt issue--- read more

One of the worst nail salons I've ever been in. The place was empty and they were so rude about taking my gel polish off. They wanted to use a dremil on my nails and I didn't want that. Then they took a metal tool that they modified by sharpening it. During the process of removing my gel polish they poked me at least a dozen times with this "tool". After they took off the polish, they told me "that's it". So they refused to paint my nails. They were rude from the moment I walked in. I arrived at 6:30 and they close to 8pm. Again I was the only customer. 2 people were in there working. Not sure why this salon is allowed to be open nor why they would be if they don't want to remove polish and paint nails. Stay away. Save yourself the pain and aggravation. Rude, dangerous and ineffective. read more

I recently went to VyVy nails with a friend from out of town. My experience was wonderful. I tried a fairly new product that is supposed to make my nail polish last for up to three weeks. I am on day 5 and my nails still look fantastic. I only wish my friend had the same experience. She went back three times and they NEVER got her nails done right. They used a different product and it was as if the nail technician had never used it, my friends nails never dried properly. Sadly she left town unhappy with a horrible experience. I attempted to call this place for 45 min and I was hung up on every single time. They never said hold on, please wait, I'm busy, nothing. I could hear someone, then they hung up. They are either very rude or the phone system is faulty, I would bet the 1st one. I get that they could have been busy, but hanging up on a potential client is a terrible way to run a business!
