I have been a patient at Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine since January 2020. The…read moredoctors, medical support staff, and administrative employees are all great at what they do. From the time I walk into the door, I am greeted with a smile, checked in very professionally, and instructed where to sit. The lobby and ambiance of the office is beautiful! The inside is always very clean, and nicely designed to feel like a log cabin retreat. There are high ceilings with beautiful wood beams, and minimal comfy furniture. With the onset of COVID-19, staff regularly clean the seating and ensure that patients are masked and temperatures are monitored. My doctor at this practice is Dr. Schweppe. He preformed a rotator cuff and bicep surgery on my right arm in October, and everything went without complications. I am thankful for his meticulous and neat work, however my one complaint would be that when I asked for more help with managing my pain, he refused, saying his hands were tied due to "federal regulations". At that point my pain medication was only filled once since surgery, and he had already told me that this is a painful surgery that takes a while to recover from. I felt like he was unsympathetic to my very real pain and the fact that I needed relief and medical intervention. As a breast cancer survivor who suffers from chronic pain, and whose lymphadema had begun to flare because of the operation, I believe Dr. Schweppe should have, and could have, responded differently to my request. Since he declined to do so, I ended up having to get a referral outside of his office for pain management. Other than that, Dr. Schweppe and the team at Novant Orthopedics & Sports Medicine has been great to work with as I recover. From Kourtney and Jordan at the front desk, to Ms. Betty at checkout in the back, I can always count on getting a nice warm smile and some light and friendly banter while I wait for my information to be printed. My appointments are always on time, it is super easy to schedule appointments, and I believe I am kept abreast of my treatment plan, especially with the help of the MyChart application. If you have any orthopedic issues, I highly recommend the folks at Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. When you go by, tell them Kindra sent ya!

I have been receiving services from the team at this center since October 2020 when I had rotator cuff and bicep surgery. All along the way, the entire staff have been encouraging and professional, and I have grown to trust them. Honestly, despite it being a little painful, I enjoy my forty-five minute appointments, and I notice that their other clients seem to feel the same. The Rehab Center is located in the same building with Novant Health Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, and share the same beautiful, clean, and comfy lobby, reminiscent of a log cabin. Once you enter the door, Kenisha, the receptionist, is just off to the right. She has a welcoming personality that is infectious. She will take your temperature and make sure you are prepared for your appointment. The staff all wear PPE and follow COVID-19 guidelines, and clients are expected to do the same. Kenisha seems to know all the clients, and I enjoy seeing them come in and give her updates. My physical therapists are Brittany and Erin. They are phenomenal! These two work wonders on me and are helping me get motion back into my right arm, slowly but surely. It's important to have a decent personality with any job dealing with the public, and these ladies have personality and professional knowledge by the bucket loads! If you are in need of rehabilitation, I highly recommend the folks at Novant Health Rehabilitation Center. They will get everything moving right again in no time. Dr. Sarvar Pathan A…read moreReview by a Patient, Dr. Bose Ravenel My perspective for assessing Dr. Pathan's professional and personal competence is the following: I am a recently retired pediatrician after 31 years in private pediatric practice, 11 years in academic pediatric medicine, and culminating in 6 1/2 years practicing Integrative Medicine pediatric consulting. Over my 48 1/2 year career I have been privileged to know and work with a large number of skilled and highly regarded physicians. Dr. Sarvar certainly belongs in this league of health professionals. My wife first saw Dr. Sarvar regarding post-surgery rotator cuff concerns followed by a personalized program to address additional areas after he had started his own practice. I observed from her experience how his approach is so personalized and targeted at specific objectives. Equally important I saw how invested in his patients he is - reflected in a degree of availability rare in these times, as well as outstanding communication. At my wife's encouragement, I decided to have an initial assessment, even though at 82 years of age I was not having any pain or other known physical limitations. My first session proved to be a fascinating experience. Having had a recent minor tennis strain injury shortly before the appointment, he designed a program for stretching tight muscle groups and to engage in active healing for the injury. The results were amazing when at the 30- day follow-up my former 28 cm limit from forward-bending touching the floor had decreased to 12 cm. A subsequent program was designed to promote continued improvement in flexibility and balance, while adding some strength-building. All this was designed to achieve a more functional ability to engage in specific sports activities such as tennis, golf, and trout fishing. He is one of the most engaged, dedicated, and skilled professionals I have ever gotten to know and worked with. His knowledge of anatomy, function, and how to design interventions for patient concerns to reach one's goals for improvement is simply amazing. His personality is delightful and he is the ultimate encourager! I heartily recommend Dr. Sarvar without reservation for any physical therapy and wellness needs. She just turned three a few days ago, I've never missed one appointment. I've never rescheduled with that being said there's been plenty of times that the provider has specifically told me I could do a call or a video appointment because my daughter was continuously having the same issue and had already been seen multiple times for the same issue very recently. Heather refused and said I had to come in person even though the provider clearly told me when I finally came in person that she would've happily did a phone visit now my daughter turned 3only 2 days ago mind you Airflow sent the providers office a form for her to get free diapers where my hours have been cut back and we're in desperate need of diapers. Heather refused to send it saying that my daughter is behind and needs her three year-old exam well child well considering she just turned 3 only 2days ago, it seems you would be able To complete the forms since she's never missed anything and I have an appointment scheduled for the soonest you could get me in and especially knowing she's out of diapers. There's no compassion or understanding at all with any messages with her.
