The place was clean and they were more than willing to have me walk right in prices did not match what was on the menu and they tried to charge me extra for length and shape when I got a basic gel full set tried to charge me $115 I complained and ended up getting it for 91. Will not be back. Fair warning to check the add ons! read more

will never come here again! I came to this location and received a dip and pedicure a few days later my nail broke and I needed a repair. I came to the nail shop and was the first customer in line and everyone refused to repair my nail. They kept telling me l needed to wait to get one nail repaired. read more

Do not come here if you're visiting Nashville. I took my sister here for her birthday nails and I specifically stated 3 times we wanted regular gel. They proceeded to give her another kind of gel that was a 40$ difference and then continue to price gouge us. Gel alone was an additional 26$ on top of my $50 basic pedicure and my sisters 90$ pedicure. Not too mentioned they burned her in the process. They thought a 15$ discount would keep us quiet. So sad. Save your money and go somewhere honest. 333$ for 2 manis and pedis. read more

Initially coming here I loved it. The decor was beautiful and the vibe was right. But the more I went back the worst service was and they had a hard time sticking to appointment times. Several of the employees here are rude. More so the ladies than men They'd whisper about some of the clients then laugh. No, I don't speak their language, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out if a person is talking about you or others around you. I've witnessed them firsthand humiliate clients leaving them very uncomfortable. I don't plan to return here. If this is how customers are treated this isn't the place for me. Amazing experience at VSL! The place is very clean, nicely decorated, and they have a ton of colors (a wall of colors) to choose from. Great service as well! I had Sunny who made sure the experience was perfect and my friend had Emily, who was wonderful as well! I loved the massage chairs when I was getting my pedicure. I'm so happy to have found my favorite nearby salon in Nashville! The prices here are fair and the service is both efficient and detailed. I always do a walk-in appointment on the weekends, though it can get busy so they do have online booking and call ahead options if you are on a schedule! I usually just check Google's estimated wait times before going and have never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seated with a tech. I recently was seated with Tina and she did an amazing job with shaping my nails and applying a very thin and neat dip change. My biggest annoyance with dip is when techs apply it too thick or get it stuck on your skin, which causes the dip to not stay as long or to crack easily. My last dip was going strong at 4 weeks and I only got it changed out because my nails were growing too long for me to live my life and type fast! FYI the cut on my finger is not from the salon! I cut it while cooking dinner shortly after my appointment, sadly read more

VSL salon is so incredible that I fantasize about flying into Nashville just to get my nails done here. I had a group of 4 come in, two of which were men that were having their first nail salon experience. We ended up all getting matching gel polish halloween toes with spider web designs. Our nails came out perfect and lasted longer than any I can recall. The whole time we were laughing and smiling and having a ball with our nail techs. We are from out of town and decided to go here for their deal that included free champagne. Five of us sat down and began getting worked on then we were told they were out of cold champagne but had white boxed wine. The overall experience was pleasant and comfy. Four of us got dip manicures and a couple of the workers did not seem happy with us. In the end three of our manicures were so thick and scuffed but it was our fist time so we didn't realize it but it looks like we're wearing press on nails. Then the next morning one of the pedicures just started popping off. We are not looking to spend more time on our vacation in this salon but it wasn't cheap either, so disappointing. read more

Flew in from Michigan for vaca, and I'm a first timer in Nashville. Husband had a meeting so I went to get my nails done. Love love loved!! Salon is pretty and modern, with lots of friendly workers. If I could give VSL no stars, I would. I typically don't write reviews or complain, but I was genuinely shocked by my experience here, especially after seeing so many positive reviews online. I discovered this salon through a TikTok recommendation and was excited to try it out--but unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. The issues began with their customer service. I called in the morning to book two pedicure appointments for my boyfriend and me. From the start, the greeting was unprofessional; instead of a formal "thank you for calling..." or "hello, this is...," I was met with a simple "hello." As we discussed appointment times, I settled on 11:30. However, when we were just a few minutes away from the salon at 11:20, I received a text saying our appointment had been moved to 12. When we arrived, the front desk informed us they didn't have availability and couldn't take us until later, which was frustrating. So we decided to grab a bite to eat and return at noon. Upon returning, the staff seemed disorganized, scrambling to find technicians for us. They seated us, and someone started on my pedicure. After about 15 minutes, I asked the technician how much longer it would be for my boyfriend's pedicure, and she replied, "5 minutes." However, another 37 minutes passed before I had to say something again. By then, my boyfriend was understandably frustrated and decided he no longer wanted the pedicure and left. When I expressed my concerns to the lady managing the front desk, I was met with defensive excuses about it being Election Day and that they only had five technicians available. I reminded them that clear communication would have made all the difference--had we known about the delay, we would have been willing to come back at a more convenient time for them. I also noticed that someone walked in just before us without an appointment, and they were taken straight back for their service, while my boyfriend waited nearly 40 minutes with an appointment. For the price I paid, I expected a much higher level of customer service. They claim to give "luxury service" on their instagram... I also felt rushed during the pedicure, which added to the disappointing experience. Sadly, I can't recommend this salon based on my experience. read more

Scam. Went last Thursday for a quick gel mani. I had been walking all day and when I entered and checked-in the manager kept pushing the mani/pedi. I didn't want both, I wanted to get to dinner, but joked that I'd like to soak my feet. This turned into quite the discussion amongst the staff and she said for $20 I could sit in the pedi chair and soak. I polietly declined; no need for me to pay $20 for hot water and then they'd have to clean an extra basin. I sat to have my nails done and the young lady rushed through it-fastest ever-but she kept talking about having my nails chromed. I said no several times, but once the polish was on she pressed a sparkly dust/powder on one nail. I tried to pull away, but too late. She was so pleased with the result and kept saying she'd like to do this for me, etc... I said fine versus having to redo the nail since it was only a quick a dust of powder. Not my look, but I wanted to go and didn't want to hassle over something small. I didn't think anything more, until check out when the manager that kept pushing the pedi grabs my hand and says, 'you got chrome, that's extra' and charged $20. Seriously? She was determined to get that extra money and I was fool enough to fall for it. The nail job was sub-par, my cuticles weren't cut back, there's a definite gap, and it definitely wasn't worth $80. Yes, I know better, but sometimes you're just tired and hungry and want to believe the best of others, or that at the very least they have the minimum of decency. Lesson learned and I will not be going back. read more

Lucky was AMAZING! Only reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is the price. I'm from California and you guys charged for EVERYTHING under the sun... I mean there's certain things that should be waived. I've been getting my nails done for about 20 years now. Most places don't charge extra for length if they are getting gel, soak offs, powder etc... no one cares about the length anymore. You asked me at the register to look at my nails and then you charged me 10 additional dollars on my already 74$ charge when I simply walked in for a fill. Bad business I'm my eyes. I will come back though bc I like Lucky. But your prices are outrageous read more

Steven killed it again (as always)! He is my go to when I'm at VSL. He know exactly what I want. When I switch it up and show any photos that i want my nails to look like he does exactly that. If you want a great shape, long nail, and any design he is your guy! All my friends are now going here too! I pay 100-140 depending on what my design is and how long I go. But, my nails ALWAYS last at least 5-6 weeks. So well worth it compared to other places. read more

She explained the product and service to me, made sure I was comfortable with everything, and we quickly got to work. Typically I get hard waxed, so I was pleasantly surprised at how much less painful this was than that process. Des worked quickly and efficiently, making sure I was comfortable and distracting me by chatting with me about kayaking adventures. The process was quick, painless and about the same price point as a wax. Now, a few weeks after the service, my skin is beautifully clear! I don't have the same irritation and problems with ingrown hairs that I had with waxing. Honestly, I'm not sure I could ever go back to waxing after this!

It's a space for healing and focus. There's no privacy. The working areas are separated by panels. There are no doors but curtains facing the checkout counter. I could hear the next door client chatting with her esthetician nonstop. For that you go to therapy or simply have that session at home. It was distracting and extremely annoying. The choice of music and volume not okay. It gave me the impression these people wants to make quick money without having proper practice and real experience. I'll keep looking and make the time to check on their certificates online. The ones on the wall look pretty fake. When getting the leg message during my pedicure, I thought the tech was going to scrub my skin off. To remove nail polish on your fingers they have you soak your hand in a bowl of remover which dries out my hands. I prefer to have each finger individually wrapped to soak and remove. As my manicure was wrapping up, the staff member from the front desk not even my own tech, informed me I would be charged extra for my previous nail color removal since it was challenging to get off?! I came in with dip powder and a gel top coat. Why that warrants an extra charge for removal is beyond me AND that's something that needs to be addressed when appointments are scheduled OR at the very least the beginning of my actual appointment there.
