I have found a new way to live through the uses of computers. A few years ago, I became disabled. I had a specialized law enforcement career of 10 years. When I became disabled, it was more than physically crippled, it was emotionally and mentally incapacitating. February 2018, I became introduced to the Veterans Re-Entry Training via the VA Vocational Rehabilitation Program. The training environment at VRT is friendly and supportive. I was issued a MacBook Pro and learned the basic. The freedom to move around the internet and lean how about TCP/IP protocol, hardware, TOR, Malware, and much more is exhilarated. I found new skills that allows my mind to move freely past the ball of pain that I call my body. As a former Marine and Law Enforcement Officer I want to protect and serve, it is my nature. Furthermore, I have the desire to learn, teach, and ultimately would enjoy a career in information security field. VRT has provided me with a stable stress-free, friendly learning environment that I can thrive in. read more
