I love, love , love Nunei! She is warm and compassionate and is an exceptional esthetician. I just visited her for the 2nd time for a Brazilian and brow/lip. The wax is the best I've ever had on my skin - it is totally 'green' and formulated so that it barely hurts. I have been to a few places where I've left bloody and sore - but not with Nunei - I left with my skin feeling soft and wax free. I have been coming here for a little while now (maybe 2 years) and I could not say enough about the entire place. Michelle is incredible, and that is an understatement. She is warm, friendly and so wonderful. She is talented and has magic hands with the facials, waxing ,etc. She really knows her products. She has turned me on to the new line is using but this was a long process after much research and time trying them out. She doesn't jump into anything and she always offers the best to her clients. My best friend Erin suggested I go to Michelle, the owner of Votre Beaute, for a facial. It was one of the best decisions I made. have been seeing Michelle for several years and I wouldn't go anywhere else. My face was not in the best shape when I first came to her (black heads, white heads, etc) and since then, my skin looks so good I go to work without face makeup! Michelle uses Jurlique products, which I had never heard about before but will now never go without. They are perfect for my sensitive skin and I like that they are organic. Michelle tells you what she is using during the facial but unlike other places, she doesn't push push push you to buy them. But if you're interested, she will give samples, which I think is great! Wow, this skin salon has to be the best place I have ever been to! When you first walk in you'll notice that no details were missed when the skin salon was built. You instantly feel relaxed. The decor is beautiful and the salon is spotless. All super important things in my book! Erin Moran is an EXPERT eyebrow artist and make up artist! I only use her makeup, Erin M Cosmetics, and I seriously will wait and wait until I can get in to see her (she can vouch for that LOL). I refuse to let anyone else touch my brows! I've used all different types of make up and never got the exact right match, Erin matches my foundation exactly to my skin tone. I've literally watched her mix up different shades and do her magic as I sit in her chair! She has become more then just a make up/ eye brow girl and has turned into a true friend! I always look forward to seeing her and her beautiful smile and have always left more then happy with my brows and makeup. She is also has done cosmetic tattooing (eyeliner) for me and I've gotten great results! She's truly a gem! About me: I have had problematic skin since I can remember for me! I work in a high end salon and have had several facials through out my time working there, they've all done basically nothing to my skin. So, I was hesitant to try another facial somewhere else, but thought what could it hurt. Michelle is an amazing esthetician, a true professional in her field! She looked over my skin and went to work. She actually spent the time and got all the yucky stuff out of my skin. No other esthetician has ever done this for me...other estheticians always seem to be trying to beat the clock and I've never really felt like anyone else cared much about the results... I won a gift certificate for a facial in a charity raffle nearly 6 months ago and promptly lost the certificate. Generally, in California, gift certificates don't expire so I didn't realize it would be an issue. I finally found it in a stack of papers 2 weeks ago and realized it expired at the end of this month and apparently charitable donations CAN expire. Oops! They aren't open very many days of the week so I sent an email explaining the situation to see if they could accommodate me with an appointment. I never heard back. I played phone tag with the woman at the front desk all day today since this was the first day they were open this week. She informed me that I had used all the time up. I said the certificate still had a few days left on it. She said we are far too busy. Really? It hasn't even expired and you can't accommodate by extending by a week if this week was too busy? This is total crap customer service. If they had actually gotten back to me when I emailed perhaps they could have fit me in. No offer of a cancellation list. Nothing. They clearly did not want to give away a free facial. So I said I would be writing a terrible yelp review. So that's exactly what I am doing. I was online looking up Jurlique Purely Bright mist. I used the website's 'find a store near you' feature. The first store that came up was Votre Beaute. There weren't any hours posted so I pressed the phone number and my iPhone automatically made the call. A woman answers the phone, "Hello". I thought at first that I had the wrong number because I was expecting the woman to answer the phone properly and say, Thank you for calling Votre Beaute, or something like that. I thought maybe I called someone's home accidentally. I said,"Is this Votre Beaute?" She rudely said, "Who's calling?" Now, I'm thinking that I must have the wrong number because no store employee would ask, "who's calling?" So, I said, "I'm calling to see if you have a product I need." She again, even ruder than the first time, said, "who's calling?" I said, "I'm a customer calling. Is this Votre Beaute?" This is where it gets weird. She loudly said, "YOU'RE FULL OF SH*T! You're not a customer!!" Then she hung up on me. Unbelievable!!!!! What kind of customer service is that? So, I went back online and looked at the phone number again thinking that maybe I did call the wrong number. I manually typed in the phone number this time. It rang once and went straight to voicemail. The voicemail said thank you for calling Votre Beaute...etc. It was a woman's voice and it was the exact same voice/accent as the woman who answered the phone earlier. At this point, I knew I was in the right and was treated poorly and discriminated against by this employee/woman. I looked up the address and went to the shop. When I arrived, they were closed but a young woman came to the locked door and spoke to me. I asked her if they carried the Jurlique product I was looking for. She said, "No." Then, I asked her if she was the one who answered the phone when I called earlier. She said no again. I said are you sure? And she said, "do you want to look at my phone?" I said no. I got my phone out and showed her my recent calls list and asked if I called the correct number to the shop. She said yes that is the right number. That is the owner, Michelle's, phone number. I told her what happened and what the owner said to me and how poorly she treated me. She just looked at me and was silent. No apology!!! I told her to tell the owner what I said and that I was the man who called earlier and Yes, I was a customer!! I also said that I will be writing a review on Yelp immediately. She just said, "Ok". Then I left. How does this shop stay in business with this type of poor customer service??? Miss Owner, Michelle, you need an attitude check. I will NEVER shop at your store and will make sure that everyone I know will not shop there either. Good Day, Mam!!! read more
