Because we couldn't agree on a sauce, we ordered plain with sauce on the side. They were so good plain!! Son ordered the Voodoo Sauce - my favorite. Hubby ordered Cajun Ranch a d Lemon Pepper, both were delicious!! Sidewinder fries - hot & fresh! Tons of tater tots in an order, too. We went on Gameday and everything was hot & fresh. Honestly the best wings in Tuscaloosa. Stop playing, they have the best quality wings.

I ordered the 12-piece traditional wings combo with fries with the sauces as lemon pepper and hot honey. The wings were thick and juicy and to my preference the best size. A couple were a little too thick and were more "tendony" but despite that they were excellent. The lemon pepper and hot honey were not only a great complimentary combo but also great on their own. The fries were a little soggy with not much crisp and lacked seasoning on them. They're more in the sense of wedges but a little thinner. The ranch was very run of the go type of ranch. It was nothing special but also obviously house made which is a plus. The customer service was very standard. He took my order and went back to make it for me. It took about 10 minutes for me to get my food which is not bad. The parking is the biggest downside to Voodoo. The parking lot is small and also is used by other businesses. I have eaten here a good number of times and it always leaves me satisfied. I also highly suggest their boneless wings with Cajun ranch and sweet heat or their Carolina gold strike. So yesterday 1/28 decided to hit him Them up since I had a little free time lol and it wasn't slammed since it was a little before the lunch rush, but I decided to order just order the 9 piece with medium wing sauce and pro less than 10 mins they were ready! can't even place an order half the time because they literally never answer their phones when you call. i've gone to order wings way before their closing time and the people have told me that they closed. so they close 2 hours before closing time! ridiculous. seems to me like management and staff are both awful at what they do. if i could give them negative stars i would. read more

I used to love this place, but tonight my friends and I walked in to grab dinner to-go and even though the place was very busy, the food was horrendous. I ordered fried pickles, fries, and boneless bbq wings - my usual order. As I got in the car and tried a friend pickle, the smell immediately threw me off. As I tasted one, it tasted like I just put cigarette ash into my mouth. I couldn't even finish one slice of a pickle. Then, I tasted my wings and once again cigarette ashes in my mouth!!! I had to come back to this just to write a review! I no longer live in Tuscaloosa but I just remember this place having great wings. Although a little big for my liking, their sauces are great! Good seasoned fries, and the peach juice is *chefs kiss* wait time can be lengthy but it is a busy area but that also means your food will always be fresh. Great staff as well! The building itself could use a little bit of an upgrade but their decor and patio is decent. I remember the guy recommended me try the hottest sauce they have. They said you couldn't even take it on the plane! I tried a little sample cup and I literally was fine at first. When I got home, I damn near passed out because my body overheated. I was fine though LOL! So DISCLAIMER from a spicy advocate; that shit is hot. Please be careful lol. But I really miss this place and it's in the heart of the city. I've gotten wings from here about four times now. Always take-out, the inside of the restaurant has ever made me want to stay and enjoy the wings at their bar or cozy tables. Enough about the atmosphere. The wings.... excellent prices, but even better quality of chicken wings. After my first experience trying the flavors Sweat Heat, Teriyaki, and their signature Voodoo (attempting to taste the whole scale of heat on the first go), I was so happy with the outcome I decided to order each flavor they could provide over the next couple weeks. I found each level of heat, and it's coinciding flavors consistently delicious and with a serious punch of flavor or fire. The only wing flavor not to my liking was the Cajun Ranch, which wasn't but had a less appealing texture for my taste. Their heat index was pin-point accurate. The hottest flavor, "Da' Bomb," seared my taste buds with spice while also communicating actual flavor. The "Sweat Heat" was a perfect combination of a mild sweetness similar to a honey-infused sauce, with a combination punch of red chili flakes. My personal favorite, the "Voodoo" sauce, is the perfect sauce for any wing heat lover who also does not have the sadist mindset to burn their palette excessively. Its flavor is no joke while giving a decent burn to delight your spice-vice. My only complaint is they have a policy on paying by credit card over the phone when ordering a "large" order (24 wings or more). I have no problem placing card information online, but giving the information over the phone is uncomfortable. None-the-less, I will continue to do so because the wings are damn, and I will not be able to satisfy myself with any meager amount besides the "large" meals. Excellent wing place, great food, relaxed/causal environment, and you will get a better deal than most other joints. Oh, and the staff? Super friendly. Everyone I have spoken is upbeat, kind, and relatively quick to help anyone looking for service. read more
