We walked into Patisserie Jean Pierre and completely fell in love with the place. I felt like I was in wonderland. We arrived to PEAS a little later in the day, so they didn't have the full selection of cinnamon rolls that one would find on their shop. When we arrived I saw the sign out front and was surprised to find out it's a vegan cinnamon roll spot. I was interested to see if they could pull it off. I copped the CookieCookie roll. The lady described it as a vegan buttercream, and said it was one of their best sellers. The buttercream was really creamy and smooth. The roll itself was also moist and delicious. Easily a recommendation for vegans, but also for anyone who digs a good cinnamon roll!

There are many Nobis Printen stores in Aachen and I assume they are more or less all the same…read morequality. Many people say that the Nobis stores sell the best printen, but I'm not enough of a printen expert to say if their printen is better than the printen the other non-Nobis stores sell. In any case, if you like printen (gingerbread type cookies), they have good printen, and they have a large selection of different types of printen (eg., with frosting, with chocolate covering, etc). If you are visiting, they also have lots of different options in terms of buying something to take back to your friends.

Walked by, saw so many sweets on display, how could one not resist? Cute displays of Liege waffles (looked like they won an award before), macarons, cakes, all colorful and inviting. I walked inside the shop just to admire more. Shop person didn't speak much English but said welcoming greetings in French. We don't need to speak the same language to feel welcomed. I really wanted to try their waffles but it was getting too close to lunch time. I purchased a dozen macarons to take home. I also really wanted to try their cakes, but I couldn't take home. I gave a dozen macarons to my friend when I got home and she really enjoyed them. I wish my French was fluent to express my gratitude to them with more words. I was really stressed at that time. Been surrounded by so many colorful sweets and their friendly smiles, they helped me become less tense. I left the shop with smiles, all I could say to them was "Merci beaucoup".

They have a small selection of freshly made breads and sandwiches daily. Because this is a small place, their selection is not as wide. You can find various croissants, Aachen bread, and plain sweet breads. There is coffee and hot chocolate. You can also buy room temperatured drinks on the shelves. There is no WiFi here. There is outdoor seating on the patio but since it is on a busy street, there are loud cars that drive by so it's not as "quiet" sitting outside. It's a great little place to grab a quick snack but not a place I'd spend a long time at.
